using points for a cruise?

How do you use points for a cruise? How far ahead do you have to make the arrangements? DVC is all full because of the incentive points. Are the cruises all booked too?

Also, when do you really need to book day-by-day?

To use points for a cruise, you simply call Member Services and follow the electronic menu to be directed to the right area. They will do everything for you, the booking, take the cash payment that day via credit card, and reserve your staterooms. You can book 11 months ahead. I have never had a problem booking 2 or 3 months prior for a cruise with points. If you are somewhat flexible with room choice and dates you should be fine.
