If we decide to buy it will be a joint thing and my family wants to be able to stay togethor. Is it hard to get a reservation at the grand villas?

I would heartily recommend that you purchase your points at the resort where you would like to stay with the Grand Villa. You will need that 11 month window since GVs can be difficult to get.

If you book at the 11 month window at your home resort, you will have no problem at all, especially if you call on the first day possible(11 months out). OKW has the most GV"s.Even booking at 7 months out(excluding peak times-easter,Thanksgiving,x-mas,etc) you should be able to get a GV at OKW. We have never had a problem booking a GV at OKW.:D

I thought I read somewhere to book the Grand Villa on a daily basis. Is this right? So if a trip would be Oct. 11-18, book Oct 11's reservation on Nov 11 and Oct 12 on Nov 12 and so on? I certainly would prefer to make the reservation once on Nov 18, but want to make sure we get it for the entire stay. How do you book the Grand Villa?

You can book it either way, day by day or the whole thing at 1 time. When you call to book it, MS will let you know which is better for you, based on availabilty.:)

I think flexibility is key. For our August trip we had a 4 or 5 week 'window' when everyone was available. While OKW is our home resort these plans did not become firm until last month (January). I called MS and was able to get a GV at just 7 months ahead, evden competing with other non-OKW members. Of course only one week of our window was available, but I was able to get it.
