Questions about borrowing

Scenario:
If I have no points in June 2002, but I'm getting points in Feb of 2003, and I'm going on vacation in June 2003, can I book in July of 2002 using my 11 month window? And if I can do I have to boorrow my Feb 2003 pts to do it?

Any replys would clear up alot for me.

Basically do we need to have points listed when we make ressies of will they let me make ressies knowing I'm getting my pts in Feb anyway.

Yes you can book in July of 2002 and No it would not be considered borrowing. They'll know based on your use year if you have the points available.

Yes. In fact you're not even borrowing the points. The critical thing is when the reservation is, not when you make the reservation. Since the reservation is in your 2003 use year, no problem.

That's going to clear up alot of talk between my DW and I.

The other scenario is:
So if I had pts in July 2002 I would use them first, and then get a fresh set in Feb 2003. Making sure to bank if I didn't need the 2003 pts.

I'm still learning all the scenarios.

If you have points in your 2002 use year, you would first need to bank those points forward into your 2003 use year in order to use them for a reservation in the 2003 use year.

If you have a Feb. use year and you still have points left in July 2002, they will expire on Jan. 31, 2003. They can not be used for a reservation in June 2003 unless you bank them . You must bank them before your banking deadline. For a Feb. use year the 100% banking deadline is July 31.

Yes, Thank You very much Mickey and Dumbo, based on my situation I'm still good, and understand they need to be banked by July 31st.

All was good communication, cleared up alot for me.

We are going in June already, just bought 210 at BCV and going to have another 210 in Feb 2003. So I'm going to bank the 2002 points, then make ressies using my 11 month window, then worry about Feb 2003 when they come. Awesome!!!!

Now, hopefully we won't change our minds on stays from now until then, but hey that's just part of all the fun.
