Anyone know the direct number to the world of disney store at downtown disney? I would like to buy my son for Christmas a "Real" plush mickey. The ones at the Disney Stores just aren't the same as the ones sold in WDW. I thought my best bet would be that store and have them ship it. Thanks, Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to specifically call World of Disney. If you call Walt Disney World Merchandise Guest Services at 407-363-6200, and describe what you want, they will ship it to you. I've been very pleased with my experiences with this service.

One note about Disney shipping that people would like to know -shipping cost is based on how much you spend, not on weight of the item. The more money you spend, the cheaper the shipping. Thus, a $10 plush would actually cost you more in shipping than the price of the item! Also, they aren't exactly fast with shipping, especially around the holidays. On an off-peak day, Disney ships around 3,000 packages out, so you can imagine how much that number goes up during holidays, you're talking about a likely 2-3 week wait to get an item. With fragile merchandise (like the big figurines at Art of Disney) they're not gentle, either -and they might arrive broken.

I know all this because I am a local and for awhile ran an ebay store selling WDW merchandise. I don't anymore, but I am at the theme parks and Downtown Disney quite a bit, if there's something you didn't grab on a trip or something you need and would like, please contact me, I'm happy to help out.
