I have a mixed review about this one. Unfortunately, the server will make or break your experience on this one. The actual service that was provided was fine, but she did not play it up. She just served us. The waiter next to us was great and his people were having a really fun time.

The food was not that good to have to wait for. I made ressies for the entertainment part of it. I had the fried chicken- it was okay. Just chicken. DH had the chicken pot pie- it was okay. Same is to be said about the Caesar Salad and the Stacked Sandwich. The menu is pretty limiting (as I found most of Disney's restaurants to be). My mom couldn't believe that "Hamburger" was not part of the menu. Who ever heard of a 50s diner without a hambuger, she said. (My mom ate at a lot of diners in the 1950s). Would probably not go back.

Overall rating:
Food: B-
Service: B
Atmosphere: B-
Entertainment: D (only because we got a few laughs overhearing the people at the adjacent tables)

i am so sorry that you had a bad experience. We make that an annual stop. My whole family loves it. You are right, the CMs there make or break the show. They can make you feel like you are part of the family. I hope that when we go back, we don't get stuck with your waitress.

Shame that your experience wasn't better.

That's awful! We have eaten here about six times. We have always been lucky enough to have a good server.

We ate there last year and our server was fun. Not too crazy like some of the other servers. I didn't want one that was too extreme.
Food was great.
We are going back again this year.

Thanks for your review.

I think it has gone down hill somewhat. Whatever happened to the Viewmasters that had the desserts. I miss those. The server does help make or break the meal. The food is only average, but we go for the atmosphere. The first time we were there the brownie sundae would feed a family of four. Last year it was on the small side (which is fine because that is all we had room for). We still make it a must before Fantasmic. We have an ADR for 12/14.

Has anyone ever asked for a "fun" server? Or even vice versa?
