1 .Introductions-(in the form of Sponge Bob Characters )
Me (Myself of 32 yrs) Sponge Bob of course, always try to be positive and laugh in any situation.
DH 34 Lonnie of 14 yrs Mr. Krabbs Accountant need I say more
DS10 Khrystian Squid ward the entire attitude but is loving at the right time
DS8 Logan Patrick- very smart when needed but a lil lazy I am sad to admit
DD6 Jayedyn 2 characters best describe her. Sandy- she is all girl but can be pretty tough when the situation calls for it. Pearl - wants what she wants when she wants it (thanks to her Daddy)
DS4 Camden Plankton- will try as many plans as possible even if it means failure, always out to get the krabby patty recipe or attention, toys or whatever
DS2 Mayson Gary- a very quiet but intelligent fellow definitely likes to be out of his shell. Lactose intolerant and a very picky eater but he loves bath time ..
MIL 63 yrs old Annie - Mermaid man - ( can only walk a second before complaining and is known to forget what you said to her less than 5 seconds ago, But we still love her.) Does this just sum up the mood of our trip?

A Little Info about me:I have been to DisneyLand 1 time in my life, I can't really say that it was a fun trip and I enjoyed it.:guilty: Let me go back to a time of no responsibilities I was 15 years old and my family decided it would be a great idea to take our 1st trip to disneyland over 4th of July weekend (what were they thinking) I on the other hand being of very fair skin and blonde hair, blue eyes hardly travel any where or hang outside because me and the sun do not see eye to eye even in the shade. burnt to a crisp while sitting next to the swimming pool at the disneyland campgrounds (which probably now is a wonderful resort hotel) my memories of Disneyland are recalled as this, going over on the monorail and standing in line for storybook Land canal boats, the lady behind me rubbing as much suntan lotion on me in the 100’ plus weather while my blister's popped and my lips were frying under my hat . let’s just say "Sebastian had nothing on me" when people said I looked like a lobster they were not kidding. After this 30 min episode I decided I had had enough . and so I took the monorail back to the campground crawled into our tent and cried, mostly from disappointment and pain, I remember trying to sleep :headache: and going in at night for a few hours but only riding splash mountain while the electric light parade was going on and seeing tinker bell fly above the castle while the fireworks were going off , my brother signed some form, before I jumped in line he said it was for use of our pictures being used on a post card, but I bet you anything they did not use them because of the fried lobster in the scene, How perfect would that be, “Yes come to Disneyland ride all the rides have a special time, but remember to wear your sun block or you will look like her..”:eek: other than that memory , I sadly missed out on Disneyland I don't think I was ever that excited about going back (I know how sad, but so true)Until.... I met my DH and we moved to Northern California.
I lived in the bay area for 6 yrs and was only 5 hrs away from the house of mouse, every time we had planned a trip I would find out that I was pregnant and so instead of the amazement of a Disneyland adventure it was the shock and happiness that I would be a mother. Every time, my DH reassuring me that I would get there, next year. Or the year after , do you see a pattern developing? Well, let’s just say after 5 pregnancies and a complete Hysterectomy, I knew that there was no way possible that I could not go because I was pregnant, so me and DH began to plan the perfect trip,(How perfect can it be with 5 kids you ask ?) with the help of my best friend Utah Mama and all her excitement, suggestions, 1st hand knowledge and a special Disney thread (thank you for turning me into a dis peep) Oh, and I can not forget her Pulitzer prize trip reports, I was bound and determined that we would go this year and have a great time,
So after a few months’ and a lot of comparisons of different hotels, packages , we booked our trip For Oct 21st through the 28th:
The agenda : rental van driving from Utah to Las Vegas staying over night, driving to Anaheim Staying Off-Site @ the Castle Inn for 6 nights a 3 day park Hopper Pass( I definitely will be doing a 4 day next time) a character breakfast, a princess dinner for me and DD, Medieval times for the boys and of course being the huge fan of sponge bob a trip to Universal studios,
Now it is set we are really going I started to get a lil excited but my luck with Disney was imminent failure , disappointment as in my past, but I was determined to be positive. And keep chanting my new motto it will get done later “we are going to Disneyland” the most desperately needed remodel of the carpets in DD rooms as well as mine the floor downstairs and the yard . Trust me you can really avoid a lot of needs when planning a Disney trip I have learned .. Anyways! Moving on.
The day of all days happens and my excitement turns from positvity to stress.. What would a vacation be with out a lil stress… right? I know you are all thinking the worst possible scenarios, :scared: so stop right now …….I will give you a couple of mins to regroup… :laundy: breathe !!!! Okay enough!! on with the story….

One day while helping the kids with homework my MIL calls me and begins to ramble Off all these questions as to “what is all this talk about going to Disneyland” (as if we can't afford it , But really who can? or we shouldn't be taking our kids anywhere ) I very lovingly talk with my MIL while look at all my kids with a very evil eyebrow, and clenched smile (you know that one that say’s whoever told grandma is toast .) she is still rambling off some $$$$ figures and how many days my dh would have to take off and if we could afford it , blah, blah blah, what does she think we are not old enough to plan a trip??:
( Now I must stop and clarify a few things about my MIL , I do love her but she just lost her husband so she is lonely and sad, she just has 2 boys so she treats me like I am her daughter which is fine, but instead of just saying what she is really thinking she rambles on until we are so mad we just want to hang up on her, and then tells us the same thing over and over , and counsels us like we are newlyweds. Me and DH have been married for 14 yrs and do know what we are doing it is not like we planned a spur of the moment trip.....) Anyways ....
She had decided upon herself that she wanted to see her grand babies and that she wanted to come with us,:eek: after all that rambling and the anger I feel growing inside her intentions finally come out,:flower3:
and so begins the stress and the excitement of my happy 1st time at Disney it starts to turn into a “oh brother,”…next it hits me, why do I have to be the one to talk to dh about it she is his mom…?? :confused: So the brainstorming begins about how to break it to DH while spelling, reading and cooking dinner are all taking place, and more question dancing in my mind when do I do it? ….
As soon as DH walks through the door I began spilling the whole story.;) I have no patience plus by this time my stomach is in knots ,:sick: to my surprise it goes over pretty well DH and I way the Pros and Cons and we decid what the heck!!! So we call and add an 8th person, while giving my MIL the news , to our astonishment she say’s she will pay for food. “Hot Dog”” food is alot more expensive for 8 than what we were paying for tickets and hotel rooms . It is all set everything is ready now all we have to do is wait for it to get closer to trip time .. :surfweb: as sept begins to wind down I keep hearing a lot about the Mickey's Halloween treat party @ DCA ,my search begins I check out everything there is to know and find out that we could do that while we are there . ... So after a lil convincing or as DH calls it “selling” . Me and DH jump online and get tickets. For Thursday the 26th of Oct. (we wanted a Friday but in the 3 days it was sold out…:eek: ). How fun it would be to Trick or Treat at Disney, princess: :wizard: Back on subject... now a different adventure begins, what are my kiddos going to wear? :scared1:
Utah mama has stumbled onto a awesome boutique thread and wants me to join her in the sewing revolution, :grouphug: she was very persistent (even after a couple of trips to buy fabric with her) but I kept resisting chanting my motto “I am going to Disneyland” I am going to Disneyland” wow that is really cute , how fun would that be. Okay maybe a yard , Nah I must resist.:rotfl: It dawns on me One night while sleeping I have this vision that I could make some outfits for DCA . I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and energized and ready to sew . the hunt begins my ds 10 wants to be a Jedi .ds8 wants to be a storm trooper, DD wants to be princess Aurora ds 4 Lightning McQueen and ds 2 Mickey mouse . Why did I ask them what they wanted to be?:headache: Some times a mother never learns. After the patterns were bought and material I once again have another vision that we all should be pirates easy enough ,pirate: so the search begins for those patterns and material:scared:
My family , house and laundry go straight down the drain as my brain and parts of my body you don’t use everyday begin to hurt..(under the fingernail because the seam ripper bit me or the leg because you forgot there was a pin left in the outfit ,,):rotfl: a lot of made up curse words and chanting “my seam ripper is my friend” all the encouragement of the boutique thread peeps,:hug: I finish all there costumes plus a pillowcase princess dress for dd , pretty proud of what I did ,I am still not satisfied with how they look, once again while sleeping a idea comes to me why not appliqué (which I have no idea how to do) a Mickey pirate head on each vest …and a Minnie on DD’s
So I began this miracle i say that because that is what it would take to finish , throughout the applique process i decide that I will make DD a hand made petticoat out of tulle and some custom outfits for the character breakfast, Ariel’s grotto and just for the park . This is when it is nice to have a partner in Crime ..

We take grandma with us all the time but it is my mom, my hubby is used to it now even includes her with out asking if she wants to come or not. I think he like getting the senior discounts on the hotel rooms.:rotfl:

You made me cry over the 1st trip experience. I can actually feel the sear of that sunburn from that Disneyland trip!!! :eek: I had a real bad burn like that at 10 y.o. & later found out I shoulda been at a hospital for 2nd degree burns. I remember the pain, ooze, clothes sticking in the wounds & vomiting lots for quite awhile!! :crazy2: Then at 25 y.o parts of that burn turned into skin cancer!!:scared1: Cancer's been removed & I'm freckled but good.

I can't wait to hear how the MIL fits into the TR!! :crowded: This should be good & don't wait too long to post the rest, k?popcorn::

Your story of the sun not liking you is so me. I have so many sunburned vacations sitting in a hotel room crying while my family had fun. Fair Skin people need to stick together and go under the cloak of darkness!

Can't wait to hear about the MIL and the pictures you showed on the other thread of the few outfits I saw were genius. I'm (a little) inspired to learn to sew!

Hi Spongey! Can't wait to hear what happens next. I've experienced a sunburn like yours, but it involved an AC/DC concert and a quart of screwdrivers, something I'm sure a nice LDS girl like you has not experienced!

I popped over here from the DisBoutique thread. Loved those pirate costumes. I can't wait to read more about your trip. My parents went with us on a trip. :sad2: I haven't spoken to them since then. :sad1:

I am sorry about your sunburn. My little brother got burned really bad on his first trip to WDW. He was just 2 years old and had blisters on his poor little shoulders. I felt so bad for him Ouch it hurts just thinking about it.

I got my very first sunburn on my first and only trip to Disneyland when I was 17. It wasn't nearly as bad as yours, but that California sun is wicked!

How was your hotel stay? I am staying there in 24 days. we have not had enough to stay but it is rainy and cold today it's been forcasted so we will see ;) i take it you use to live here? i absolutely loved our hotel it was awesome and close .

i am just finishing up some stuff and will post today i am ignoring my kids and dog and family and anyone else who is bothering me :rotfl:

I have never had to pack for a vacation trip so I was very overwhelmed, and to pack for 7 people let alone for 8 days Argggghhhh but my excitement kept me going, the check list was written , re-written checked off and pretty much added to every night :rolleyes1 because of something I forgot , phone calls from UM about lil things she remembered Like band aids , batteries, memory card (which I forgot these things so thank you )
Then Lonnie told me he had another surprise for me.......:
He had put some money away so that I could get a new camera so we went camera shopping and found a pretty decent one (okay a really good one) not to expensive but definitely worth it.
Although I should have bought a camcorder,
I had packed the kiddos outfits and socks and underwear in a Ziploc bag marked for what day they would wear them, and was ready to pack everything away,, but waitttt... :eek: what to pack them in?? (see my suitcases have always consisted of a small overnight bag for Hospital stays, to bring home my lil one's home and for 2 surgeries but other than that nothing that required a regular suitcase, I asked Lonnie what we were going to do about it and he said that he would take care of it and ran to wal-mart and got some that night,:
The only thing I had to do the next day was to take Lonnie to work so that he could get the rental car at lunch , and pack, http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/packing1.jpghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/digitalcameranew042.jpgThat was done pretty quickly to my amazement, the only problem I ran into was Where to put the custom outfits? , so I called Lonnie again ,,, I think after a million phone calls from a very excited me he decides to come home early(I am a lil more excited than the kiddos)He pulls into the driveway in a 2007 white ford Free star mini van with 2 sliding side doors(The Sponge mobile is a blue 1996 Nissan Quest with only 1 sliding door:headache: We begin to load the van and (wow) everything fits (after a few times) moving things around and a small , mini quarrel with Dh about the stroller , Who after see's that I am right, apologizes profusely.. we are ready to go.... the house is clean and I am driving poor dh crazy with my excitement,, Poor Guy ! he shouts "Everyone get in the van we are Going"............. To Dinner (I almost killed him because he made it seem like we were going to leave. not that we could because we had to wait till Saturday to put daizie in the boarding kennel,
after dinner at Chili's , Wendy Lou(Utah mama) comes by the house to pick up the key she is kitty sitting while we are away being the great friend she is;) she has a care package for us ,Full of Disney books to look at while driving, a hidden Mickey Fact book, 2 Disney Cd 's so that we have plenty of music to get us in the mood , emergency fruit snacks, and a pen and notepad with a bunch of fun games to play while driving, and also some very funny things written for my kiddos to say to dad while driving Like " are we there yet" some more motherly advice and some Disney reminders (which I am thankful for ):hug: :hug:
A ton of hugs were shared and she was off. I so wanted her family to come and share in the Disney magic:goodvibes
The next morning came pretty slow because I could not sleep at all, I was too excited ...Finally the sun is up and it is a decent time to wake up everyone , we all jump up and get dressed grab the dog say good bye to The cat and lock up and we are out the door , :woohoo: after we drop Daizie off at the boarding kennel and I say goodbye , we hit the McDonalds for breakfast and jump on the freeway , The ride to Las Vegas is pretty calm considering the 2 older boys are listening to there Mp3 Players , Jayedyn and Camden are asleep and Mayson well the picture is worth a thousand wordshttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/ontheroad1.jpg It does not seem that long of a trip to Vegas (maybe because the kiddos were so good) but we pass through some mountains and there it is (Can I just say that Vegas just is not that exciting in the day )
As we pull onto the strip there are a couple of "ooh and ahhhs" from the kids but nothing drastic, our destination was the Luxor Hotel and straight down to the Criss Angel store and production studio (for those who do not know who he is here you go The Mind freak Illusionisthttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Google%20pictures/crissangel.jpgSo we head downstairs and take a few pictureshttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/vacationphotos110.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/vacationphotos111.jpgand then over to the "OFFICIAL MINDFREAK" store, Where we run into some drama :headache: I am going to buy the kids a water bottle so I am standing in line I go to pay and because I am a member of The Loyal (which is Criss Angel's fan club ) I should get a discount because I have gotten it before but instead, I get some bolognie about my membership and how it is for the official criss angel store , book signing's & whatever, by a very RUDE manager, I thought I was in the Official store ?:confused3 anyways,after that BS: I decided we are done and I can't deal with it anymore ( and believe me I am a very patient person ) I put everything back and we leave with some frustrated kiddos and a very sad lil girl, she is bawling (which in a momma's eyes is the worst thing it makes me so mad when it is something to do with my kids,,,,) Let's just say after that Las Vegas was ruined for them, They just wanted to get something to eat and go to our Hotel, as you can see in the picture:sad1: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disneyland2173.jpg So we head to the Pharaohs Feast and eat dinner after that, Lonnie suggests going to the Excalibur Hotel but the kids are so bummed they don't want to , but after a lil pep talk they decide to go ahead , we walk over to the Midway to play games and the mood slowly starts to change they start to have some fun, including DH,http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disneyland2174.jpg The kids were winding down Mostly Mayson and Camden so we decide to call it a night , plus we did not want to spend our Disney money in vegas..:rotfl: so after one more game we head out, we get back to our hotel and finally decide where everyone is going to sleep the boys get the right side with a TV of course and me ,Jayedyn and Mayson get the left side with the closet;) the kids crash and it is just me and DH so we fall asleep watching TV then we hear this horrible scream and run into the room and it is Mayson he is freaking out,so I tell Lonnie he can sleep in the bed and I will sleep on the couch with Mayson , my lil man is apprehensive because he is not comfortable so after 3 Mickey Mouse clubhouse videos I end up sleeping on the floor next to him I look up at the clock and it is 4 a.m I am exhausted :upsidedow The kids are still asleep at 10 so at least I got 6 hrs :) After we double, triple check the hotel we head on our way to Anaheim , We once again stop at McDonalds for breakfast and we are on our way , with one stop in primm valley for a potty break we decide to hook up the laptop and let the kids watch a DVD they are not interested because they just can't hear it so I pull out my Ipod adaptor and turn it to the pre-set channel plug it into the cigarette lighter and what do ya know Transformers in stereo:thumbsup2 we also had a charger for the Laptop that also plugged into the cigarette lighter(wal-mart) so we were good for quite some of the trip, I am so exhausted so I decide to take a lil nap and when I open my eyes again we are in Death Valley which according to Lonnie is only 2 hrs away.

we get a phone call from his mom and she is waiting for us, she begins to ramble on about the hotel not being anywhere near Disneyland she is looking and can't find it and so the stress begins , I tell her the name again and finally Lonnie grabs the phone and says do not worry about finding the hotel we are 2 hrs away just go eat lunch and we will call you when we get there,: headache: Immediately he asks me to call and double check and I do and they reassure us that it indeed is right across from Disney. ;) We start to come upon the San Bernadino Highway when we suddenly had to use our breaks, looking to our right this is what we see]http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/fires21.jpg Oh no a fire, with some quick thinking Lonnie turns off right before we get stuck with all the traffic that has come to a complete stop.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/fires1.jpg Now the fun part begins Driving with the force, Mind you we do not have a map of any kind, Lonnie is driving the route from his memory. We get a phone call from his mom again telling us that she found the hotel and she is waiting for us and that it is indeed across the street from the park..:sad2: I look at Lonnie and laugh and tell him just to Breathe and to chant our Motto "WE ARE AT DISNEYLAND" ! We unload the car and I hang up the custom outfits, Change Mayson and we are off to get something to eat.

I know you are probably wondering what my kids are thinking right now. Surprisingly they are acting just like me, excited but clueless.
There are no Screams of excitement, no looking like they are gonna piddle on the floor (They just have no idea what they are in for yet?) We head over to the Target for some last min shopping to kill time because our 1st day in the park is Monday.
After some grandma gifts are bought for the kids, we head back to the hotel for some R&R and unpacking, I begin Ironing the clothes and the kids are quiet doing puzzles and Lonnie is crashed on the bed,

Now the fun part of the night begins Mayson is still not use to his surroundings so he is sleeping in bed with me and Jayedyn is sleeping with Grandma,
WARNING CHOKING< SPITTING may occur reading this next partI give you full permission to laugh :rotfl: at this next part,

I have never wanted to smother anybody before in my life:rolleyes1 but my MIL definitely needed it..:mad: How was I to know this would go on every night for the rest of our trip.
here in no exact order is a time table of events that happened each night..
1st hour constant groaning, belching in her sleep, toxic gases, and getting up and crashing into things to get outside to smoke
(Come on who can't open a Door):headache:
Excessive "I can't sleep are you awake?"
mind you i am in bed ready to sleep or was asleep
My ankles hurt can you rub them for me
Oh' i need some water
speaking in different tongues while asleep I swear i almost had to call an exorcist
Walking in sleep and talking in sleep
Tv turned on at extreme volumes
Bothering of people who are coming back with there arms full because she wants to have a conversation with them at 3 a.m.
2nd hour continues on just like the 1st
I finally ended up putting my Ipod on and falling asleep until I was blinded by the light right above my head and a OOPS! sorry I was trying to get outside .:confused: it's like being in the hospital and just dozing off and in comes the nurse for Vitals and Blood Pressure, although I know they are just doing there job so I am okay, but with my MIL:headache: :mad:it is not acceptable...
Anyways
let's just say I was not a chipper ,happy go lucky person when I woke up:headache: the next morning But we are going to Disneyland today so the Disney magic hit me and excitement over threw the anger and murderous thoughts:rotfl: We head out to Ihop once again for breakfast , and then pile into the van

Yes, I was born in Brigham City, lived there until I was 13 and have lived in Wa state ever since. I miss the deer coming down from the mountains and into our yard. I have an aunt who still lives in BC, and uncle in Ogden and uncle in SLC. I cant wait for the summer time to take my kids to Lagoon and Hogle Zoo.
I am glad you loved the hotel I cant wait. I was a little scared since I have seen some bad reviews. But for $500 for 6 nights Christmas week, i will take my chances.We have snow and it is cold !!!! i have not been to lagoon since high school , we are annual pass holders for the zoo so we go with the Utahmama family alot.

The stress of it all....

I can imagine what fun it was to pack for 7 people and eight days. It is crazy to pack for 4 people.

Bummer about the MindFreak store. That guy does some cool stuff.

I know of what you speak about traveling with someone else. All those things I have seen but the talking in different langauges...:rotfl:

When I saw your fire pics, I realized I was there the same time as you - flew over San Bernadino on the 24th - stayed at the courtyard marriott on Harbor. I was there for a conference, so only had time for DTD, but we did get to go to Wicked in Hollywood. The smoke was terrible sometimes!:eek: Can't wait to read more!

:lmao: Do you notice that habits of people during the day become extremely annoying when you're trying to sleep?? :rotfl2: I used to be really good friends with this girl when I was at school we shared room together on a school excursion and she just kept talking non-stop, and I mean non stop. It would be 2am and I'd be just falling asleep and she'd ask quite loudly "Are you falling asleep?? Did you hear what I just said?" and if I pretended that I was asleep and just didn't answer her, she's shake me so I wouldn't miss what she had to say... :sad2:

We head out to Ihop once again for breakfast , and then pile into the van, my MIL is taking her's because she has to have her scooter. As We drive into the park the excitement i feel is overwhelming, i look at my kids i can see that there eyes are getting (a lil bit bigger) i think now in a way it is starting to hit them what they are truly in for . I do not remember anything that I see. It is truly amazing!
We pull into the Mickey and Friends parking garage and begin to unload the stroller, the kids are wearing there custom Iron on shirts with there names. (now normally this would incite a riot between my kids but surprisingly nothing was said ). I knew it was going to be a good day,
We go through the security check point and off to the ticket counter to pick up our tickets after a lil scare, she found them (note to self when you book 2 rooms they do your tickets separately under each room ).. That Cm was very nice too and with 5 plus endless thank you’s we were on our way , Now as we approach the entrance to Disneyland http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disneyland2200.jpg everyone began’s to stare at us it seems we have lost one child I flip around in a panic to find my ds10 laying on the ground, He truly saw what was in store and he passed out (Playfully, I run over to him and he looks at me and we all just laugh) I tease him about walking or if he needed a scooter like Grandma’s!
Now can I just say that as I walked through the turnstiles and heard that magical sound it makes, I began to cry …one of the CM's stop us and tell me that i am a very special guest and that she needs my email address so i give it to her (wow i wonder what this is for ?) we get to the front and I immediately start picture taking http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-27-20077-31-61.jpg it is beautiful all decorated for Halloween i find the nearest photo pass photographer to take our picture , then on to city Hall for Lonniehttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-27-20077-32-58.jpg and the kids big surprise .
I walk in and once again I am greeted very nicely I tell the lady that I need the 1st visit buttons and a happy birthday Lonnie , she welcomes us to Disneyland (can i just say at this point i either look like i have a joker smile or my mascarra is smeared from all my Happy Tears.)
Outside I distribute the buttons and receive a ton of hugs and tons of thank yous

I just hit him in the arm and the show continues, http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/IMG_0010.jpg I decide to run into a shop really quick with my MIL because she is feeling left out on the pin trading, and sure enough I miss the most important part of the parade .

Let’s just say Camden feels pretty special now, and is showing everyone that stops by to tell him he did a great job, after all the PAPARRAZI leave we head down main street and once again the tears begin ,at this time i can't help say a silent thank you to Mr Walt Disney for creating such a magical placehttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-27-20077-34-31AM.jpg continuing on to the castle my kids are asking if they can ride all the rides that they see. i explain to camden and mayson that some are not for them but there is Plenty they can, Once again we stop for some more pictures http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/image011-3_edited-2.jpg(Okay i know everyone has been awaiting to see what my MIL looks like and here you gohttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/image018-3.jpg and begin our adventure as we walk through the stupendous castle which to me seems huge (but I am also a super huge sleeping beauty fan (so once again I am crying) Our destination was to ride it’s a small world because it was going to be closed the rest of our trip and i definately do not want to miss out on that ride, we get over there and guess what? it has already closed. Oh well we decide that we are going to head on over to ToonTown My Mil is complaining already about her scooter not having enough charge (it has been sitting in her car for 3 days I wonder why)
So Lonnie tells her to go rent one from them , after she grumbles about us not going with her she finally heads out and we head for toon town our 1st ride is Roger Rabbit the wait sign say’s 15 min’s but that is just to walk through, after the adventure we stop for some more family pictureshttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-22-20071-28-13AM_e.jpg The wind is blowing a lil bit and there is the smell of burnt ash so the kids are having a hard time but are still pretty excited, we head on over to see Mickey for Mayson which by this time my lil guy is just a laughing a mile a min and his eyes are as big as golf balls.. we wait 10 mins to see the mouse and as we enter the door Mayson screams M_I_C_K_E_Y who is taking a picture with a family and mickey turns to look at Mayson right as the camera flashes..
I apologize profusely and we all just laugh. Autograph books are signed and pictures are taken hugs to Mickeyhttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/image029.jpg and then I jump in for my 1st picture with Mickey and the tears begin to pour out againhttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/image039.jpg I get a huge hug from Mickey, Mayson kisses him on his nose and out we go i take Jayedyn through Minnie's househttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-22-20072-00-17AM_e.jpgand then out to meet grandma who is know where in site, while waiting I take the kids on the Go Go coaster which scares Jayedyn to tears Her 1st roller coaster ever. The boys love it but admit they were a lil scared. We just keep encouraging Jayedyn to face her fears with her family( what better place to do that but Disneyland)
We are still waiting for Grandma when Pluto takes Mayson with him.... only here would you let someone take off with your kid and just look and smile , Mayson is screaming puto, puto and barking like a dog. so we all walk over to the chosen spot in front of goofy's house my kids are standing in a line waititing to have there autograph books signed of course i should rephrase (sort of) but they keep letting a ton of lilttle kids in front of them they are so polite,
meanwhile Pluto is still taking pictures and signing autographs with Mayson next to him(Sorry for those who have a picture of my son in it isn't he just adorable )My son is so small you can't even see him in this picture:eek: http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/IMG_0001_edited-1.jpg I finally had to say Okay Pluto we got to go although i did not want to. Mayson kisses him on his nose and off we go,

By this time there is still no MIL , so i call her on her cell , i can here her having a (lil bit) of a disagreement with someone and it ends up with a 7 letter curse word , she is standing in line for some food and somebody has gotten in front of her
she ends up rambling on to me none the less and i finally tell her to eat, we ask the kids where they want to go next and they say the rocket ships ( TommorowLand) she see's pluto and heads over to him and yells i mean yells for us to go over there she is screaming that she is holding a spot for us, all of us look at each other and smile so not to hurt her feelings we head back over to see pluto and she snaps a few pictures (I find that you get caught up in every moment you almost forget to take pictures ) with that done we make our way over to tommorowland making a stop at king Authur's carousel i wait back because by this time Mayson is nappinghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-22-20072-47-57AM_e.jpg which i am okay with because he got to see his MICKEYhttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/disney1stoct2210-22-20072-59-17AM_e.jpgAfter the Carousel we wrap back around and ride the Tea Cupshttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/th_IMG_0007_edited-1.jpghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/IMG_0008_edited-1.jpg and The MatterHorn The kids loved it and the rider swap was awesome . and yes i was teary eyed once again , after the dizzyness wore off from both of the rides , it was on to get some lunch at the Tommorowland Terrace while waiting there was a jedi Training show ending so we watched and when Darth Vader came out it scared Mayson a bit, so instead of taking pictures i was comforting him ,but he was fine after a couple of minutes, after a delicious lunch of cheeseburgers and PB&J sandwhiches it was on to ride the Astro Orbitor it was Kj,Logan and Jayedyn and me ,mayson and Camden and he thought it would be a ton of fun to stay up in the air for the whole time i am gonna admit that i thought i was going to fall out it was a lil' scary but a ton of fun Now upon exiting that ride there is no way to get out gracefully as i was helping camden out let's just say i almost face planted into the ground with mayson in tow. after that lil adventure we headed on to space Mountain, i hung back with mayson and camden when they came out it was me and Camden taking on the mountain He was a lil scared and because i had no idea what to expect i could not comfort him but i told him it was gonna be fast and a blast, Needless to say outside there was a bet being made that camden would come off the ride and be in tears and scared out of his mind but Big sis stood up for him and she won the pot $ 1.00 (we are heavy high stakers) then on to Buzz Lightyear astro blasters everything was happening so fast it was overwhelming and then it was over , we emailed our pictures and then on to Star Tours and once again because we did the rider swap we got to go through the back entrance which camden thought was a ton of fun. we decided to take it a lil slow after that and Darling MIL had to go smoke so we waited for her and made plans tackle dumbo

i was trying to take picts but i was mesmorized with what was going on in front of me luckily my MIL was snapping away. Unfortuantely her pictures were not that great ,,,, after the parade Mayson was getting very cranky so i was glad our disney day was over , as we made our way outside with the crowd i could hear my MIL screaming obsenities to someone and the person saying something back i walk up to where she was trip over her scooter and begin to apologize to this stranger , he was very nice to me and walks away. lonnie automatically interrogates her as to why she is swearing and she say's it is because he walked in front of her and she thought that it was very rude, by this time i jump in with i could barely see you hence the reason i tripped over you too , Lonnie is telling her to relax and she is fuming because she has to have her cigarette :headache: so very calmly, he tells her to wait for us by the tram and we will turn everything in and get her scooter which they were nice enough to charge , so while dh is doing this i pose again with the kiddos for some more photo pass pics http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Disneyland%20and%20vacation/image045-2.jpgas we head out Lil" man Mayson is so exhausted you can barely hear him say "Goodnight Mickey".

we all pile on to the tram and head to our car for a late night dinner at the one and only Carl's Jr we take it back to the hotel and then the next night's" MIL festival of Sounds begins."

Not only is mayson uncomfortable and so exhausted that he can't sleep:sad1: but my MIL has heartburn so bad she would put Pete's Dragon to shame ,:scared1: she is also
complaining about sleeping with her Pajama's on because she is having hot flashes
She begins with telling me about Menopause and wait till i start having hot flashes:mad: she is rambling on just as i am swallowing my Estrogen pill.
(i have already gone through menopause due to a complete Hysterectomy)I am way too tired to rebuttle so i just nod .. Mayson is in the bath and is starting to calm down a bit ,and she has the nerve to ask me to rub her ankles,(No Way) Meanwhile the boys and DH are crashed in the next room (to defend my DH he asked if there was anything he could do and i said no and to just sleep)
i am trying to calm down a crying fussy baby again, (he wants me to hold him and does not want to sleep in the crib so i put him in there and just let him cry because i am trying to brush and dry DD's hair) i hear the worst sound :eek: after crying to hard and working himself up, Mayson has thrown up all over his crib . i clean him up and put him to bed with me, DD is asleep already and she has left me a small window of bed to sleep on . The night begins:scared:
i have the baby to sleep and DD is out, in the next room the boys are asleep as well as dad , i lay out the clothes for tomorrow, wash up, brush my teeth and try to get some sleep:rolleyes: Tommorow is Universal studios day, I am super excited because i get to see SpongeBob.:cheer2:
let's just say this night is alot worse:scared1:
as the hours go by this is what i have to hear from MIL

1st hour constant groaning, belching in her sleep, alot of whining because her stomach is upset from eating late (like that is my fault) alot more toxic gases, Cronic audio Vomit (she calls a cough), she is super whiney tonight and moan's and groan's much louder , she has the tv up so loud i am sure that they are gonna come kick us out , she is way too hot and and getting up and and crashing into things to get to the bathroom , more excorcism speaking , hitting things as she is trying to get outside to smoke.
Excessive I can't sleep are you awake?
and finally the straw that broke me down!
The question:
Will you go down and get me a soda from the vending machine ?:headache: As i am thinking to myself (How about a smack with a vending machine?)
But me being the person i am, i get up and walk outside, down the hall and jump on the elavator to the 1st floor ,across the parking lot to the vending machine in a zombie like state.
i can see a ton of things that remind me of the adventures at disneyland today with my DH and My Kiddos , so i just smile to myself:cutie: grab her soda grab one for me(yuck Diet Coke ) (because by this time i have a huge migraine,) head back upstairs ready to sleep but that is just not a option The closer i get the more i hear crying and pray that it is someone else's kid .. i walk in and Mayson is awake:eek: he is screaming because Grandma is holding him and he wants me, Hand MIL her soda she grumbles about it not being cold enough, grab the ice bucket hand it to her say goodnight make a bed on the floor turn on the laptop insert Mickey's clubhouse swaddle the child he falls asleep and look up and MIL is out and snoring i sigh and then it begins The bed music of 2 people in love above me .I just laugh put my in my ear phones ,turn on my IPOD and we fall asleep , for a lil bit.

YAY! I found your report! Your mil sounds like a ball of fun! Although I may be able to top it, my mil rode for 21 hours with us to disneyland!:scared1: Her favorite way of entertaining herself on the way down was to listen to tabernacle choir cd's on her ipod and belt them out full volume. Have you ever heard a dying goat before??OMGoodness i think i would rather listen to that then smell the smoke from my MIL :headache: :rotfl:

My MIL came to Disney with us in May but she is a cross between Mary Poppins and Cinderella's fairy god mother. She is ALWAYS happy. I can't imagine being in the happiness place on earth with someone that negitive. You must have a lot of pixie dust in your heart :wizard: .

Which reminds me, I went on my honeymoon with my MIL to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris, since she came to Germany to the weddding, and we could not very well leave her there alone. Although she did not belch or otherwise was very obtrusive, let's just say that MIL on a honeymoon is not the best choice.
So we went back home, picked up MY mother, and went on another trip to the south of Germany and Austria. At least the 2 mother kept each other some company. One in broken english, and one in no German at all.:laughing:

Misty - You poor thing. I feel so bad about your MIL. All the noises you have hear, the drink requests and of course the bed music from upstairs, OMG. We go on vacation with my mom but the only thing she does that upsets me is that she thinks her way is the best way on everything. The way you cut your meat, fold your fold, wash a table, etc. You are a saint. St Spongy :lmao: .

I just wanted you to know that everytime I walk down main street in WDW I cry so I totally understand you crying all the time. And of course when your kids are experiencing something so grand for the first time. I cried when both my DS went their first time and then in two years DD will be there for her first time. I'll be a crying fool.

Now with the seeing of the picures, I can't see the first ones but after that I can, did you fix the first ones? So enjoying your TR, I'm from the sewing thread too. Can't wait for more.popcorn::

Okay after the night I had and what lil' sleep I got I was as excited like a kid in a candy store. today was Universal studio's day and I get to see the sponge.
I pull myself off the floor and begin to get going for the day; my Mil greets me with a "Hello Honey!" How did you sleep? (Omg!!! are you kidding me How do you think I slept goes through my head but not my mouth i ignore that question) she begins to ramble on about poor lil' Mayson not getting enough sleep and how much gas she had and her stomach hurts BLAH< BLAH and all I can see is me lunging over the bed and strangling her.

I did have a outfit just for this day but somehow when I sew for myself it just does not work out so I throw on my back up outfit get the kiddo's dressed and then DH ask's me what time Universal Studio's opens I grab my handy dandy Pass porter(The best investment i have ever spent money on Thanks Utahmama for showing me you rock as usual!!!!) and find the number and call them, they open at 10 am so we get the kids loaded up and head out, we stop for gas and grab some juice and donuts for breakfast

The drive to universal was pretty cool I kept trying to get a picture of the Hollywood sign but kept missing my chance because I was sitting next to Mayson and he wanted to have a conversation (HMMM! what to choose Mayson who I see all the time or the Holly wood sign I chose Mayson .

We pass empire records and before I know it we are there, We are able to get in the front row parking with my Mill’s Handicapped plaquard.
She has to get out and smoke of course it has only been 20 mins from her last smoke, I start snapping photos of the kiddos in front of the spinning water sign. Then I have to have a shot of the whole family.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/oct23us10-22-200711-35-25PM.jpg The older boys have to have there picture in front of Freddy , Jason and leather facehttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/oct23us10-22-200711-36-29PM.jpg, we walk through the gates and I ask for everyone’s ticket so I can put them away because we had a 2 day pass, MIL decides to keep hers,http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/oct23us10-22-200711-44-43PM.jpg now it is only 11 and my kids are hot my hair is on fire so we walk in a shop looking for hats while in there Mayson and Camden are touching everything and it really is not stroller accessible so I let DH know I am going outside and when they come outside MIL has her souvenirs and the kids have no hats, DH has found out that the best place to get the kiddos hats is down always so we decide to head down there, while on our way there is a lady who wants to take our picture so we get it done and MIL wants her own also, but the lady walks away( instead of telling us that is what she wants she starts to throw a fit) BY this time DH has had it and a lil' fight ensues which ends with MIL just walking away so I look at dh and he snaps at me so I snap back and it ends with a fine lets go . so I stop dh and give him a huge hug and tell him to look at the kids (This is our vacation Remember) I whisper and he looks at me and say's your right let's go ,
we walk a few steps and catch up with MIL who is upset and I look at her and tell her (whatever pictures I get she will have the same we will switch) NOW REMEMBER THIS IT IS IMPORTANT THROUGH OUT THIS TRIP
the boys have to go through the house of horrors so I take the lil' one to grab hats I find a sponge bob hat for me of course, Mayson is happy with his spongie hat and Camden has to have a Scooby doo after the boys come out Lonnie takes them for hats after all hats are bought we head down the street and have our 1st character sighting Beetle juice is totally in character (although my kiddos have no idea who he is That reminds me rent beetle juice) they were pretty excited to be next to Dracula, Frankenstein and the mummy, Mayson does not even flinch he jumps in to have his picture taken , http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/187.jpg

I find in the diaper bag which keeps him happy but dirty.

Outside to entertain us:
this poor guy with a walkie talkie and a sign that say's quiet please
he say's something to the people outside and nobody shuts up (I swear they got louder) dh hits my shoulder and tells me to look over it as I turn I see Zach braff from scrubs all dressed in cowboy garb and then Sarah chalke on a horse before I can grab my camera they are gone.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/221.jpg And the poor guy outside is yelling QUIET’’ It finally hit me that they are filming an episode. Lonnie laughs at me, with our bellies full and the kids happy
we decide to hit the downstairs attractions we ride the elevator down stairs to catch a shuttle (Because of the stroller and wheelchair) to the bottom lower lot and after 20 minutes of waiting no one shows up so we ride the elevator back up and decide to do the escalators from He**

Now picture this! 3 separate escalators (scary and frightening to 3 lil ones ) okay i will add the pictures...

there is also the problem of the double stroller to carry down too so lonnie is holding the wheelchair and stroller and balancing himself ,(lets just say I was scared I was waiting for a dominoes effect taking out the people below us ) the 3 younger kids are scared outta of there mind so Camden gets on and sits on the stair and immediately his hand is pinched so he is crying . DS 4 does not want anything to do with them and neither does dd so we decide to take the stairs (which if you miss one step you tumble to your deathI end up having to hold ds2 and ds4 and walk with dd down each set of stairs I look up and dh has Khrystian holding the stroller which he did really good we tackle the next set and mind you my thighs and calf’s are burning when we get to the bottom . we find "Darling" MIL at the bottom getting a drink as she ask us what took so long I thought Lonnie was going to through her and her wheelchair into the crowd but he just grimaced and said let's go do Jurassic park,
me, Mayson and Camden all hang back I grab a drink in my huge sponge bob refillable mug and we wait for them to finish the ride, after this I ask MIL to watch the kids so that I can ride and she shrugs something so Lonnie ask's Khrystian to watch everyone and me and Lonnie head off to ride the ride,

I jump in and immediately can tell that Lonnie needs to vent so I tell him that we are going to scream as loud as we can going down and he agrees I am not a huge Jurassic park fan so I am not as excited but this ride is awesome we get to the end and as we are plummeting to our death we both scream as loud as we can http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/223.jpg

now I don't know if I had mentioned it before but this is also a Medieval times day for the boys and grandma and it is getting pretty close to the wire so we jump on the mummy ride (which rocks) and decide to head back upstairs to find sponge bob . The escalator ride up was not as hard, I did not have to walk up the stairs and by the time we made it to the top the kids were pro's
We ask one of the workers where sponge bob is going to be and she tells us, so we head over to nickelodeon splash Zone and immediately I know I have forgotten something...Oh well i let the kids play this are is so cool there is a huge rocket in the middle and you fire water into a bucket once the bucket is full water comes out the bottom and on top of the fort. Let’s just say you get soaked!!!!!!http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/oct23us10-23-20074-24-19.jpg while letting the kids play I hit the sponge bob souvenir shop and went crazy I got me a zip up hoodie (I have been looking for one forever ) bought the kids a couple of things . found out again where spongie would be and told dh as we were sitting on the bleachers (away from being soaked) Diego comes over and is playing with Mayson (where is Camden this is one of his favorite characters ) I snap a photo of the two of them Mayson is trying to make bul horns

I got a lil' embarrassed and screamed I love you sponge bob he turned around and we ran and hugged for the last time I told him to say hi to all the bikini bottom peeps and we were off . DH just looks at me and smiles and gives me a huge hug and tells me that I am so cute and he loves me...
we head up to the front and see the Simpson’s he ask's if I want to stop and I say nope I snap a picturehttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/oct22us10-23-20075-14-27.jpg and we are ready to go we are leaving and I can tell that dh is stressed he really wants to take his boys to medieval times we jump on the freeway and get stuck in traffic the plan for the day was Universal studios the boys were doing medieval times and me and Jayedyn , Mayson were supposed to do Ariel's grotto but I did not know I would have to use one of our park hoppers so we cancelled that and made a reservation for sat morn. And we were just going to buy me and Jayedyn a pass in for just that breakfast. So we got back to our hotel I helped the boys change there clothes grabbed the stroller out of the car, kissed the gang and they were off. It was just me, Jayedyn and Mayson in the hotel all by us. Jayedyn changed her clothes and we were going to head into down town Disney and do some shopping and grab some dinner but that idea was crushed when I realized I left my bag in the van.

Luckily MIL had left some money out and her room key so I borrowed that and put Mayson in the stroller and we went for a walk, I could tell that Jayedyn and Mayson were exhausted, so we just grabbed some subway which was about 5 mins away and went back to the room after they both ate they were out for the night, so I laid down and thought I am going to get some uninterrupted sleep. at about 12:00 everyone comes in from the dinner and the stories begin Camden has to tell me everything that he saw (But it is in a 4 yr old pattern with long pauses in between) Luckily Lonnie had took a camera so I had some pictures to go with his storyhttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/Universal%20Studios%20day/medivaltimes2.jpg

The kids said goodnight and I went back to sleep
the night begins my MIL has diabetes and did not bring enough of her pills so she is stressing out she begins to mumble a bunch of things and I just pretend to be asleep when she has the nerve to wake me up and ask me to go get her some food, I look at her like are you kidding me so I go in and wake up dh and he goes for her (out of protest.) and so this night begins just like every night so far,
there is a ton of whining you probably have gotten the routine down now , I was so frustrated and so tired I just tried to shut it out , but it is hard when someone is going outside to smoke every 15 mins. so being the good daughter I am, I ask if there is anything I can do for her (knowing the repercussions) she says no so I go run her a warm bath, and go down and get her a soda but this time I grab a couple to put in the fridge, after that I tell her good night and I try to get some sleep when Mayson wakes up Let me explain a lil bit about Mayson here
He is my angel baby Lactose intolerant but suffered for many months HORRIBLE NIGHT TERRORS until he was moved down stairs into a very quiet, dark bedroom with his very quiet brother Camden, so needless to say he likes his quiet and grandma was not helping that at all.
(I know the routine now and I just grab him swaddle him in a blanket and tuck him in next to me and Jayedyn and surprisingly it works . the same things are happening like every night before and I am just trying to shut them out at this point I would take listening to Lonnie snoring then this . Eventually, I fall asleep and wake up to a bunch of kiddos knocking on my door ready to go so I shuffle out of bed although ,I probably had a total of 4-5 hrs sleep and we begin to plan our day at Universal Studios again

Misty - You poor thing. I feel so bad about your MIL. All the noises you have hear, the drink requests and of course the bed music from upstairs, OMG. We go on vacation with my mom but the only thing she does that upsets me is that she thinks her way is the best way on everything. The way you cut your meat, fold your fold, wash a table, etc. You are a saint. St Spongy :lmao: .

I just wanted you to know that everytime I walk down main street in WDW I cry so I totally understand you crying all the time. And of course when your kids are experiencing something so grand for the first time. I cried when both my DS went their first time and then in two years DD will be there for her first time. I'll be a crying fool.

Misty, I don't know how you got through this with your MIL! What a sweet husband you have though!

Heather had night terrors when she was a little girl. It was really scary for me. We slept in the same room, and she would just wake up screaming and screaming, calling for our Mom, even though she was right there. Arminda had them too when she was about three. Thankfully, I knew what was happening, since I'd been through it with Heather. But, man that takes a lot out of you!

Great update Misty! Your kids are so sweet! I love what Camden said to Spidey and GG. Now wonder Wendy wants to eat him up! And the family photo with Spongebob is such a great photo! DH and I went to Universal on our honeymoon (they gave us free parking because our car window said "Just Married") but the only other thing I remember is those escalators!!!!Thanks for reading , i know when Camden said that i was in shock , i hated those escalators ....

there is a ton of whining you probably have gotten the routine down now , I was so frustrated and so tired I just tried to shut it out , but it is hard when someone is going outside to smoke every 15 mins. so being the good daughter I am, I ask if there is anything I can do for her (knowing the repercussions) she says no so I go run her a warm bath, and go down and get her a soda but this time I grab a couple to put in the fridge, after that I tell her good night

A change in plans , Day 5 Oct 24th
The plan is to go back to Universal Studios again and maybe hit a beach , i look over and MIL is frantically looking through all her stuff and mumbbling something ,
Lonnie looks at her and ask's what she is looking for and she replies my ticket to get into Universal. she ask's me if i have it and i tell her no she did not want to give it to me so she was on her own , i go into the other room and lay next to dh and i say we can just chill in the hotel today, and he say's why not go into disney and use one of our days . so that is the plan i go to the other side to let MIL know and she has made a huge mess taking everything out looking for her ticket . we get the kids ready and start to head out but before MIL decides she needs to start cleaning up the things that housekeeping is supposed too, like making beds etc,
DH looks at her and tells her that we are leaving with her or with out, it is her choice so you mumbles something which has to do with me making a mess (excuse me i did not just tear apart my suitcase and bags looking for a universal ticket) we are there early we had to rent 2 strollers because ours was in the hotel room from the previous night , Everyone is starving so we decide to go eat at the Carnation Cafe, there are mickey waffles orderded for myself

after that ride was over we noticed that it was starting to get a Lil bit busier ( I had made the comment that we should have went and rode Nemo 1st... Oh well we headed to Indianna Jones and Mil, DH and the boys went on 1st while i sat back with Mayson and Camden and Jayedyn, after they got off i grabbed Jayedyn and walked right through it was so fast i noticed nothing. Jayedyn was scared out of her mind again but with a lil coaxing she was on and riding, Mil had decided to ride again so she had Khrystian and logan but at the last minute she disapears (it seems that we did not wait for her so she was upset and just left my kids alone,):scared1: at the front some guy was telling them they had to go back and go through the right line. So i jump out of the ride all confused and a lil disturbed and begin to tell them that those are my kids and my Mil was supposed to be with them, One of the CM's tells me she just left..:headache: Bye then i think the anger is apparent on my face:rolleyes1 not towards them but My Darling MIL ,
i tell them that we will all go back to the beginning and wait in line together so we can all ride at the same time . He tells us that there is no need for that and loads us all in . Our Adventure begins we are tossed this way and that, up and down around corners ect while screaming our heads off, i have my arm across the bar all the way in front of Jayedyn So that she would feel a little bit safer, The rides ends and there are claps and screams from CM's telling us welcome back and we survived.. we all jump out and i hear Jayedyn's excitement in her voice she wants to ride it again (Go Figure)

we get in the walking line and in no time we are there and in our boat as the sea sickness begins I can see the kids excitement building up as we go down the 1st lil dip i squeeze camden a lil tighter The kids are all singing by now and so is Lonnie I try to snap some pictures but with out a flash it is impossible so i just enjoy the ride,,
We all loved it and heard some familiar lines that were used in the POC movies.
Can i just say that Jack sparrow was awesome . the ooh's and awe's from all the ladies on board and the looks from the men was classic!
The ride is over too soon and so we make our way out into the Port Royal and look around for possible souvenir Ideas ( we decided as a family that our last day would be the day we got our souvenirs )
Dh suprised me and bought me a pirate hat, so i immediately put it on because my hair was driving me crazy .

Mil needs another smoking break ,,so i decide to head over there with the kids (really i just wanted to find Jack ) we got our maps and began the treasure hunt and what do you know ,after only 15 minutes what do my kids discover ??

We wanted to eat at The Golden Horseshoe Stage but it was packed, I had heard alot about the show inside and wanted to see it .
So instead ,we made our way over to
The Rancho del Zocalo Resterante For some killer good food (Even the kiddos ate everything on there plate If i remember right i think they had Mickey head soft tacos) With our full bellies We headed on over to FanastyLand so that the kiddos could ride some rides and we could just hang out. after the kids ride a few rides our bellies were calmed down and it was on over to tackle Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.. 1st it was Lonnie,Logan and Annie and Khrystian , and of course we hung back, but instead of waiting we headed over to Woody's Halloween Round up.

As you go around the bend at the top there is a Goat on one of the hills the trick (if i understood it right) is as you whip around you are supposed to watch the goat the whole time which i found gives you a tiny bit of whiplash and makes your tummy feel all funny, not sick like, just like a ton of butterflies floating around inside there.

At this time i call some Dis Peeps who are there also playing that day to set up My 1st Peep Meet (which i am so nervous ) after the relaxing ride we exit and who is waiting for us but Disneegrl4eva and Matterhorn from The Hyena 's Thread .
They were both very nice and Gave us some very useful information on the best place for the fireworks ..
We decided to let our kids run amuck in Tarzan's Tree house which gave us a lil bit of time to talk we go over to FanastyLand and Hit Mr Toads Wild Ride

then our time is up and they had to leave , but not before a picture was snapped (why is it when you just want to take a picture by yourself one of your kids has to run in crying and slam you in the stomach so that you have a terrible expression on your face ?)

After they left we decided to hit a few rides there as Mil was complaining once again to me that i did not talk to her while the Dis peeps were there.......... OMG!!!! i am so sorry...
The kids want to ride the Carousel with Mary Poppins and Burt so they hopped on, Camden was pretty sad that the horses did not come off like they do in the movie ,After the ride We all took our turns trying to pull the sword out of the stone... but to no avail...

We hit Snow Whites scary ride and Pinochios' daring journey and then Headed over to TommorowLand To hit Nemo, (or just walk by it) because it still had a huge wait time.
Mil needed another smoke break so she went and did that ,
and the kids went to get there Driver License's at the Autotopia race track
Me and Mayson hung back and he fell asleep I watched The Cm's move everyone's strollers around while they were waiting for there turn on Nemo,

I helped one Family look for their's with my 2 strollers right next to me i whip around and Mayson is nowhere to be found:scared1:
I ask one of the CM's if they moved him and she replies "yes to make room for more" i laughed and asked "if she had noticed anything special about mine, and she replies "no" she walks over to grab it and then notices the sleeping child in it .:eek:
She continues to appologies profusely for another 10 minutes and i assure her she is okay .
i made her pretty uncomfortable because i was just standing there still she apologizes again and i let her know that she probably wont top that for the rest of the night .she laughs and my gang is coming down the ramp,
khrystian ask's where the other stroller was and i had completely forgot about it but i have an idea of where it would be so i walk up and sure enough it is there.
i tell the Cm to Have a nice night she laughs ,and say's "Sometimes it is a good idea to let sleeping babies lie where they are...." Lonnie looks at me with a puzzled look on his face and we head off to find MIL
We decide that since the park is closing soon to hit one more ride and the kids want it to be the NBC Haunted Mansion instead of walking we jump on the last train to New orleans Square.
Now this was a very exciting and fun Train ride for Mayson.
The conductor stood next to us the whole time and talked to us like we had been friends forever.
He then took off his Hat and stuck it on Mayson which he rode all the way there

before we got off he gave mayson a Button that said Honorary Citizen of DisneyLand Key to the City.
We said our goodbyes and handshakes were shared, and on to the NBC which remarkable there was absolutely no wait except for MIL who would not go fast enough (which Lonnie was getting very frustrated by now ).

i snapped some more pictures and we rode the ride,
i am glad the park was closing because i could see that everyone was exhausted we made our way up front and turned everything in and Mil starts complaining again that she has to walk to the tram ...
So what should have taken us a easy 5 minutes ends up being a 20 minute walk with 7 stops and sit downs
we finally make it to the tram

and enjoy the nice breeze back, by this day the air was alot cleaner and did not smell as bad . unloading was a lil bit of a task because we had 2 sleeping children I grabbed the diaper bag and Mayson and lonnie grabbed camden and we made our way back to the car leaving mil grumbling behind as to why we could not wait for her (let's see carrying a child who is asleep and dead wait walking slow. Does that sound right to you? (Nope i didn't think so)
We loaded up the kids and they all crashed except for lil girl who wanted a shake so we stopped by and grabbed a snack and then back to the hotel , I immediately started Mayson his bath and Him and Jayedyn took theirs while i made sure that boys on the other side were taking theirs;
Now Tommorow was a pretty Laid Back Day
The only thing we had was the Mickey's Halloween Treat @ DCA at 6:00 so nothing else was scheduled for the day
i was pretty relieved and thought maybe i could get some sleep that night
Why do i even think anymore ..
Mayson fell asleep relativaly fast and in his crib
Whooo hooo for me
Jayedyn was out and so was the gang in the next room
I started my night routine and it starts
the whinning and complaining not from any of my kids BY now you know whoooo:headache:
her stomach was upset and she was so tired she could not sleep so on went the T.V louder than should be
i turned it down when she walked into the bathroom she started to get sick so she went outside to smoke , I found out that she had 2 nicotine patches on and had smoked at least 12 times that day(which i would guess is a bad thing)
so it begins but i swear this time it was as if Godzilla was trouncing through the room .
i turn on my ipod again and start to fall asleep when i am abruptly awaken when i hear a loud fall,
Mil has fallen down in the bathroom after taking a shower I rush in there and thank god she was already dressed ,help her up and she has to go outside to smoke
which if you have not guessed the loud crash has woken up Mayson and the people down stairs
i grab Mayson and try to quiet him down when i can hear MIL talking outside it seems that the people downstairs complained so they called the front desk and someone was outside talking to her
i immediately hear her start to swear Loudly as to how the people downstairs should mind their own ********************* business , so i open the door and ask what the helk is going on? The lady from the front desk explains what has happened and the people downstairs heard a loud crash and called the front desk CONCERNED not COMPLAINING! I apologize once again and get Mil Back inside and in her bed, Lonnie has gotten Mayson Down But he is asleep on my bed ,
I thank Dh and tell him to go back to sleep. i pull my blanket on to the floor and don't even lie down i just sit up against the bed and lean my head back as tears roll down my face i am just so overwhelmed and Exhausted and just want to sleep but i am so excited that we are on vacation and having a blast as a family ( and think about how many times i have seen a smile on my kidlets faces ) i turn on my I-pod and close my eyes hoping that i can sleep for just a hour more than before .
I fall asleep again and Mayson wakes up because Mil has slammed the door going outside to smoke
i look at my watch and realize it is 4 am and i have gotten 2 hours uniterrupted, :worship: i grab mayson swaddle him in my arms and fall back to sleep for another hour and then i am awoke by the sound of MIL chronic coughing which has turn to throwing up
i wait a couple of minutes and see if she is okay
i set Mayson down and go in to the bathroom and rub her back and help her back into her bed (she mumbles How such a wonderful Daughter i am and that she loves me ) she falls asleep and i just sit down on the floor again which is very comfortable to me (esp. after 4 c-sections , Gall bladder , and a complete Hysterectomy i have mastered the sitting up sleeping position . i grab my computer and try again to get on the Dis-Boards but again no Go !!! we paid for internet service but can't get it to work.... So I lay my head back on the bed and end up falling asleep till the kiddos wake me up 2 hrs later to start our day...

I can't believe your MIL left your kids :scared1: Thank God you were able to get them all together before you took off! You are really sweet to put up with her. I'm glad you could find a way to enjoy your kids and try to ignore her. I don't think I could have been as nice as you. If she were my MIL, She would have been in her own room alone without anyone to rub her back and pick her up off the floor - kudos to you. :thumbsup2 I hope you get some rest some time in this story? Did you confront her about walking off and leaving the kids? I can't believe any grandparent would do such a irresponsible thing. :scared1:

we are buying AP's and doing a redo in july just me and Hubby and then Oct again with the kiddos(No MIL)

Oooh! When are you going in October? I'm sorta planning for another UEA trip! We could have a little DIS meet (even though we are already BFF:rotfl: ) I'm even a little tempted to buy APs but DH doesn't have any vacation left this year. If I could stand driving that far myself I'd bring a niece to help me and go without him! Loved your update. I laughed sooo hard over the stroller moving incident, Lily was looking at me funny :rotfl2: I don't know how you are so kind and patient with your MIL! My MIL was quite a character too, other than the smoking, I think I could see some of the same incidents happening with her, but she died before we had kids so I'll just live it all through you! Can't wait to hear more!

Oh yeah, and I LOVE the splash mountian pictures! Especially Jayedyn!

Now, I'm no Dr. Phil, but I'm pretty positive she did the slamming and falling etc. ON PURPOSE for attention. She wants your sympathy...which, is not possible when you have 5 kids ;)

Next time...if there is a next time with her (LOL!!!!) I would suggest slipping her an Ambien around 9 PM (make sure she's dressed first...HA!). OR go to the nearest bar and get her a special drink with NY QUIL mixed in. What a good Christian I am for suggesting you dope your MIL. Really, if you were to coat her back with 20 nicotine patches and duck tape her mouth shut, you'd still be the closest thing to a SAINT as I can imagine!!!

OMG!!!
I can feel the pixie dust being sucked out of your dream trip like a in law vortex.

As my DDiL (Got Ron) has posted, we leave next week. If I ever was that unappreciative I hope DDIL would show me a quick exit off of Nemo. Jenn as eveyone here is my witness I will never make you rub my ugly feet...I love you too much.

I can now feel the Fatigue kicking in from lack of sleep many nights before, and i have the worst upset stomach I just want to sleep all day.
But waking up in a hotel room in Anaheim does something for you.
The excitement starts to kick me into gear , i look up at the clock and it is about 11ish the kids are still asleep I debated on whether to wake them up or just sleep all day and then Mayson wakes up and that idea goes right out the window.. i am very Thankful that he is always a bright eyed , happy go lucky kid every morning it makes it alot easier on me and my Crankiness
I start to get the kids dressed and myself ,
i am trying everything in my power to avoid MIL because i am afraid if she says anything to me i am gonna strangle her verbally . I ask what the agenda for the day is and no one has any ideas so i suggest going to breakfast and then deciding later.
We load up and head out to Bakers Square for food
I forgot Mayson's sippy cup because i was so tired i did not set out the next day's items, so i buy him a Mickey one (which of course he has no problem with)
Breakfast is ordered and we sit pretty quietly at the table when it is mentioned by Dh that there is a Hollywood Wax Museum that might be fun to visit, we clean ourselves up and pay the check and head out . After about 20 minutes we arrive
I start to pull the stroller out when i notice that it is dead, except for the starbucks that is semi-busy located in front i tell Lonnie to hold on and
i walk up to the front and sure enough it is closed (like permanetly) so now back to square one, What to do to kill time before Mickeys Halloween treat at 6 ish ?
We debated on Knotts Berry farm since it was right there but i did not want the kids exhausted for the party that night , so i Vetoed that, we almost went to Ripley's museum, (nope)
So i voted back to the Hotel and we would just chill out and Maybe Just Maybe i could sleep. (Anyways ) I really did not want to be around MIL for the fear of killing her but suprisingly it was okay,DH was able to get the internet working so he finishes up the school work he so needed to do and the kids just watched TV and put together puzzles . Lil Man was able to take a Nap Because MIL walked downstairs to the gift shop and did some shopping and cleaned out her van , smoked and made phone calls . Which i was very Thankful for.
I finally started to doze off but could not sleep that long because it was already so late in the day after all i got a partial Hour nap ( if you can call it that, I still could hear everything going on around me stupid mother instincts ) I started on DD hair (the curling of her butt length hair was going to take some time) but after an hour she was dressed and ready to go.
I finished getting Mayson Dressed and Camden then helped the Boys adjust there costumes and with a double check for everything we are off .
We ride the Tram over and go through security
But not without getting stopped every 5 minutes for questions about there outfits ... where we got them ? if they were available online ? or what store we purchased them at?
I love my kids because with the biggest smiles on there face They Reply "My MOM MADE THEM" which makes all the hard work and seam ripping , swear words and long nights all Worth it !!!
We make our way into DCA ,Now mind you this is also our 1st day in this park,

Where we ran into our photo pass oppurtunity and pictures were snapped,
And Here is where MIL lost it, This time it was because she did not get her picture, she expected us to 1st Read her Mind and 2nd hold up the line until she was ready to snap her shot .
so DH told her NO that we would share our pictures with her . and she threw a fit . It was already pretty dark and i just hoped that we could get through all the treat stops before the parade started.
Besides right now is not a good time to loose any children .
I calmly explained too her Yet againThat i have her photopass card and i have been putting them on hers as well, she mumbbled something and a 4 letter word escaped her mouth and she stormed off yelling that she just had to go smoke
The poor photo pass photographer said she would take our picture again for her and i explained that i already had given the card... she felt bad which i assured her it was not her fault and on we went to the next station, we decided to stop for a hot dog at Award Wieners because the kiddos were hungry , sorry the picture is fuzzy

After our bellies were full we made our way through candy corn acres and hit A Bugs Land ,This time the kids got Candy.. we hit Pirate Wharf where i snapped some random pictures of Capt. Hook and Goofy dressed like a pirate

We played a few games at the Boardwalk and i had to stop and get the Disney Treat pin. We made our way back to the front hitting each treat stop as we passed i snapped a picture of Princess aurora by Ariel's Grotto as we walked by because Jayedyn did not want to wait in line to meet her.

Our bags were getting pretty heavy and the kids were starting to drag a little so with a ton of apples, carrots and car Raisin boxes we decided to call it a night when i remembered about the parade so we walked up to the front and got our spot in front of Candy Corn Acres which if we would have moved down just a few spots we could have seen everything perfectly
(while waiting the kids all over were dancing out in the street my kids went out and joined them they were laughing and being silly which was nice to see

Now it was pretty late and the kiddos were exhausted so we started to head out with the crowds when Jayedyn was stopped again, by a nice lady and her daughter who gave her some pixie dust she gave her a Tinkerbell pin and told her how she had won some year of million dreams prize or hotel night and explained to her what she needed to do it was hard to hear her but Jayedyn got what she was saying one for her to keep and one for her to give away she politely said Thank you and off we went .

Mayson was starting to dose off Once we were outside (Poor guy) while waiting for MIL and DH to turn in her scooter:rolleyes1

Jayedyn see's this lil girl crying she was probably about 5 yrs old she pulls me over to her and tells her "You don't need to be sad i have a special gift for you and she hands the lil girl the give away pin," and the girl stops crying her mother say's Thank you and hugs my DD!
with a huge smile on her face and Pixie Dust shared we Snap a few more pictures while now waiting for MIL to smoke :sick:

We make our way back to the tram and over to the hotel no late night stopping tonight because tommorow is our Early Reservation for Goofy's Kitchen @ 7 am we are supposed to be there at 615ish. Then It is our 1st day in Dca. and our last day Of Disney:sad1:

So the night begins i start Mayson's bath and Him and Jayedyn bathe together while the older kids do the same on the other side . I put together there clothes for tommorow. it will be Star Wars shirts(thanks again Amy ) and mickey and minnie outfits for Mayson and Jayedyn (goofy's Kitchen only and then there Star Wars shirts)
while i am getting Mayson ready for bed i look over and lil girl is out at least she got dressed, i take Mayson to the other side with me and notice the boys are all out, I lay him down with the older boys so that i can pick up camden from the floor he has fallen asleep on his pajamas instead of in them..:rotfl:
I lay him on the Bed and i lay next to Dh who is asleep (of course) and i glance over at the clock and it say's 2 am i think 4 more hrs and i have to get up so i grab a sleeping Mayson and Lay him next to me on the floor I am not even gonna attempt the bed, Mil is outside smoking and walks in and slams the door waking a stirring child up . Who begins to cry i swaddle him but that is just not working tonight , Mil say's she is sorry, and i ignore her
I end up having to walk and rock Mayson back to sleep (which after a Hour and a couple of wake up he is finally out. )
And so is MIL i lay my head against the pillow so that i can get some shut eye .
Mil gets up to use the bathroom and starts her cronic audio vomit and can't find her cigarettes which in the attempt knocks off her suitcase with a loud crash to the floor , Mayson stirs and i pray silently please go back to sleep.. and luckily he does , i get up walk over to the tv entertainment center reach on top grab her cigarettes hand them too her and walk over to the sink wash my hands and lay back down all in one motion but that is only for a few minutes because MIL has shut the door all the way and does not have her key . i open the door and i lay back down Mayson wakes up again i give him some milk and turn on the Mickey dvd and i end up holding him in a newborn nursing position i swear and he goes back to sleep, Mil ask's me what time we need to wake up tommorow for breakfast and i let her know yet once again 6ish
as a glance over at the clock which boldly displays 5:00
She replies about how i should get some sleep it is gonna be a long day If i did not have Mayson in my arms i could just see me jumping over my sleeping DD and strangling her ..
Next Chapter : Emotional Break Down , Finally Blowing up at MIL and The Day @ DCA

I just hung up with Misty on the phone and she said there was plenty of profanities said (finally) to her darling MIL next installment. Sorry for the spoiler...like anyone doubted~ I know Misty and she'll take a LOT before she blows up. AND, she rarely says the "real words" so I think next chapter should be a doozy!

Let me guess, here are the ingredients:

Forgotten estrogen
Having slept on the floor all week
Youngest toddler hasn't slept well at night
Hacking, farting, whining, complaining, belching, snoring, pissy-pants MIL all night.
7 AM character Breakfast high expectations
Halloween party the night before and resulting candy hangovers x 8

On the plus side:

estrogen was remembered eventually?
DH gave Misty Ben and Jerry's or Pepsi, or roses or something to make her day?
MIL in a rampage lost her voice?
Kids were darling angels for breakfast?

heh heh, I'm dying for the next chapter!

Okay i know you have been all waiting for this day and here it is please excuse my Foul langauage.........

I close my eyes and fall asleep only to be awoken by the alarm which seems like seconds later(,which let's face it now it was) I, By all means are not a morning person especially if i have not had my sleep and so i was very tired and oh so Kranky, and Sore.:eek:

The lump in my throat is starting to emerge and my heart almost stops :scared1: when i realized that i forgot to take my Estrogen pill (which is the worst thing for me:rolleyes1 Let me explain,, as my DH say's I could kill someone brutually , drag there body to the back yard and dig there grave with my bare hands (in his exact words ) then go and take my pill and 20 minutes later have no idea what i had done and win The June Cleaver award for mother and wife of the year ) :rotfl:
The kids come bouncing in dressed and ready to go they each hug me:hug: and in comes Dh and what do i spy in his hands.
It is a 32 oz diet wild cherry pepsi (my coffee) he has been up for a hour and drove to 3 gas stations trying to find pepsi products because he knows me in the early morning and LOVES me.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l148/spongemommie05/91cofee294879.jpg

I tried to hide my mistake from DH but at that point i don't care so I swallow my estrogen pill and take a sip of pepsi Heaven ..

When Dh asks me if that is last nights pill ??????? i could secretly see in his head him praying that is was not (poor Guy)
I just smile and tell him yes!!! but reinerate that i love him and he suddenly takes a few.......

After i throw on my clothes , brush my teeth and instead of doing my hair because i have no time .. i just pull my hair into my pirate hat (which i am constantly being told i am a hat person) which i am so Thankful for today pirate:
I am ready to go and we head down to the car it is a lil ' chilly outside but feels so good , i grab my DH's hand and tell him that i love him and that i am gonna kill his mom.. He laughs and then say's "you are serious" ?
i begin to tell him about my night using quite a few 4 letter words Like KILL, Beat, Stab ,Mutilate okay!! so you know what word it was :rolleyes1 and he hugs me , say's he is so sorry and that we are gonna have a ton of fun today ...
In comes MIL after having her cigarette and all my kids start coughing because really who wants to smell that so lonnie rolls the windows down and she has the nerve to tell him to roll them up she is cold and he mubbles something about her smoking and his kids .. Which she obviously does not like..
We get to the disney hotel

i loved walking through there this was the 1st hotel that i have been in and i can feel the Disney Magic insert a few tears (Plus i am so excited for our character breakfast...)
I go check in and we are all ready we just have to wait while they are setting us up because we are a lil' early i smile and walk to lonnie I tell him that i am gonna hang away from everyone so that i can relax and wait for my estrogen to kick in.
He nods and tells me he loves me ,
as i am walking my MIL say's something too me rudely about me wearing a hat inside
And then it begins The room stops all motion and i swear you could almost hear my nerves shattering
because i go off on her
ARE you Ready Here it comes Just Think of the worst tone ever and that would be mine along with a Marine's Cussing and that also would shamefully be me too.....

1st : i let her know that if she was not such a loud **S whale i could get some sleep and that if she had any respect for anyone but herself
Mayson would not have woken up and i could have slept,
and he could enjoy DisneyLand instead of being so flippin tired and sleeping through half of the day

2nd: if there were not a ton of un-Needed Freakin drama every night i could have gotten some sleep

3rd: that if she needed to smoke that she should have paid for her own room and smoked herself to death and left my family alone.

4th: I also cuss at her about leaving my kids alone at Indianna,,,

5th: about her Crude behavior to complete strangers because she does not want to take care of herself properly so she could walk like every other person in the park,

6th: How i do not approve of her smoking around my kids and that it is an aweful habit ,

7th:I think i said something about if she was not my MIL that i would have smothered her in her sleep and ended her miserable life

(It was Bad) My kids are looking at me scared outta there minds when i hear my oldest son ask
"Dad Did she take her Estrogen?"
which makes me insanely laugh and lightens my ranting because my kids know me...
i look up at the CM's at the desk and realize where i am and that i let my MIL get to me at The Happy Place on Earth
so i just burst into uncontrollable tears ,
One of them motions for me to come over to her and this is when i think We are getting kicked out and all she does is hands me a tissue box and double checks all the information again
( Because we are celebrating my DH 's B-day here and he has no idea.)
I begin spilling my guts to her about how so very sorry i am and she makes me smile by saying that from what she heard it is my MIL fault.

Then she motions for us to take our Pictures with Pluto (who i know is thinking something insanely Because everyone has heard my Blow -up)

But thank goodness for early reservations the only kids who witnessed this site were mine .

While i was talking to the CM
My Knight in shinning Armour (DH) tells MIL just to leave me alone in a very calm but marine like tone...
MIL is so upset because he took my side..
I so wanted to stick my tongue out at her and say he loves me more .. but did not.

she has complete strangers calling my name so i am ignoring them also.
They are giving me Dirty Looks... and saying how i should respect my elders BLah Blah Blah
How Childish is she ???

she is making me look like the bad person now,
which i am pretty sure she was doing on purpose....

He ate so much food. Because i was not monitoring his intake so once again the water works begin about what a horrible MOM i am ,,

I look at the CM's and apologize and they get someone on it with all smiles

While we are waiting for the Valet's to bring the van around I ask One of the Valet's if they would keep an eye on the kids so i can run inside and grab Logan some sprite
He say's sure and i am off ,
thankfully it soothes his tummy,

What a good husband! I think that is why my husband and I get along so well. We can recognize when we are out of sorts due to uncontrollable circumstances and we don't take it out on each other. I hope your mil finally got it and changed her behavior.

Wow, what an update! She so had it coming. You know, MIL could have saved herself some grief if she knew anything about etiquette. Ladies are welcome to wear hats indoors, and in fact, in some formal settings it's expected. Gentlemen are the ones who are supposed to remove their hats indoors. And I'm an expert. I was published in Miss Manners column once (it wasn't about hats though; it was about a cockroach in church).
Hurray for supportive DHs and CMs. And :rotfl: that your kids know the effects of no e-pills for Mama.

On to the TOT ride

and we have decided that it is going to be me , logan , Lonnie and Khrystian who are riding , Lonnie TELLS his mom that she is going to watch the kids, We make our way through the lobby which i love it is so realistic and up to our elavator where are Adventure is awaiting us and i mean Adventure (WELL for me and Logan) We get in and all put on our seat belts
We start our decent up and are beginining to drop when i look over and Logan has his seat belt across him but it is not snapped shut !!!
Panic mode hits and immediately and in no time my arm is across his waist and trying to hold him in and snap his belt at the same time while i am also holding on for dear life ,
I feel us dropping and Logan starting to rise up a lil bit and with the power of God (because Logan is not a lil Boy ) and Pixie Dust i am able to get his seat belt shut (Thank goodnss it was just a smidge from being buckled .). with my arm throbbing i am now just keeping my arm across Logan because i can tell he is terrified and tears are starting to fall i squeeze his hand to let him know he is okay , My stomach is in the worst knots i feel like i am going to throw up but Through all the chaos i actually enjoyed the ride a ton!!
Khrystian and Lonnie on the other hand were terrified (as you can see in the picture)
After that is over Logan apologizes to me and tells me he will make sure his belt is tightly shut from now on .. i just give him a huge hug and then let Lonnie in on what we were talking about...

We start back up the street and run into Will Robinson

while we are waiting a CM comes over and tells my MIL that she needs to move over by the doors and she throws a fit why can they be there and i have to move (Lonnie laughs and asks her if she thought the TV presentation was the show and she say's YES!!! We begin laughing as we are waiting the 5 mins for the theatre doors to open..
We take our seats and the kids are loving. it i am no good with 3-D and since i have a hard time seeing Far Away as it is, being on the front row i am jumping around at flying objects coming toward me .... But i loved the show as well as the kids.

i had her sign my autograph book and she gave me the pen that she pulled out of her pocket and with a few gestures to jayedyn's outfit and me she hands me back my book and the pen i went to give it back to her but she touched my nose and gestured for me to keep the pen so like a giddy school girl i did ..
. we were deciding on where to go next when we found out in 15 mins it would be The HSM parade so we took our spots (perfect we thought but when the parade started the float was in our way if only we had moved down just a smidge Oh well we still could see, Once again Jayedyn was chosen to dance with them all again and she was in Heaven A lil' confused that it was not the real actors

After that we started to make our way to Golden State for Soaring as we made our way i heard a very loud noise Kinda like a race car starting and a old broken down Truck and then Camden Screaming Which made everyone look . We made our way over to rubberneck county

Now this was a ride that we had to skip in order to see and ride the others
We decided to hit Grizzly River Rapids it was Lonnie , khrystian, Logan ,Camden and myself This ride was a nice break and all but Mayson it was a fun family moment
Let's just say that Jayedyn got soaked , yea Camden was putting his head down so he did not get splashed,, his whole back side was drenched and Jayedyn had to change her clothes after .

The kids were starving at this time so we headed over to The Pacific Wharf for some food the kids had some soup in bread bowls which can i say is to die for .. after our tummies were full i could tell the kids were getting exhausted from our early morning so we headed towards Paradise Pier, Where Daddy let them play some Games until they each won a stuffed animal
We did not ride alot of the rides over in that area due to such long waits
We were going to hit the California screaming but the wait time said 55 mins and the line wrapped around and around so as we were waiting i looked over at the kids who looked a lil bit bored and decided that we would head back over to disneyland and finish our day there Hopefully it would not be too bad a wait as DCA

we made our way to the front and crossed over to Disney Upon arriving in the line for Disney

This is where my Disney magic was stolen for the week
By a very Rude, Very Unprofessional CM named Marguerite (Okay Here is the story ) Upon crossing Dca as we left I guess we were supposed to have our hand stamped so that we could park hop to disney but that did not happen so instead of helping us she began yelling at us and then accused us of stealing tickets and how would she know if we did or not . I very politely asked her why this was needed and she still yelled at me By this time DH was peeved and he began telling her to let us in and that we did not know after he chimed in i guess she was very intimidated by him and she called us stupid Tourist as she let us through and also mubbled under her breath about how stupid people who were incompentant readers should not be let in ... I had , HAD enough and was so mad that i was crying and did not want to even step foot in the park , She then began yelling at my MIL about her ticket and i ended up screaming at her that i already showed it to her and that i was not stupid ... I started my way up to city hall to complain, when i got there i probably looked horrible and began spilling my guts about how someone so rude could work at the Happiest Place on Earth and that she had ruined my day and i was so happy i was leaving tommorow and she reassured me and said she was so very sorry that this had happened, the funny thing was when i said The CM name it was almost like she knew who it was . She ended up taking my name address and phone number and i left trying to put a smile on my face for the kids but they knew something was wrong.... Lonnie trying to cheer me up said "Let's go see Jack he can make you smile or drool whatever works . I laughed at him and we made our way over to POC while on our way
there was Jack In the show on Tom Sawyer's island so lonnie and my MIL started snapping away pictures the best they could .

We once again rode POC and hit New Orleans Square watched the Mardi Gras parade
and then took the kids to get there souvenirs at Pieces of Eight they could choose anything they wanted and they ended up getting LIL' Trinkets
Camden got a POC gun that has a light up skull
Logan got Some POC coins with mickey on them
Jayedyn got the red head girl Minnie Plush from POC and then a Jack sparrow Minnie plush also ,
Mayson got some Mickey Ears which for some reason we did not have his name engraved on them (slappin head like homer simpson DOH)
Khrystian wanted a sword from a lil' Cart in Sleeping Beauty's Castle so we made our way over there He got his sword and so did Logan and Jayedyn got her minnie princess ears
Camden got some Mickey ears also with no engraving on them (DOH) I really wanted a Pirate Princess watch but it was pretty expensive so i bowed out gracefully .
We rode Big Thunder mountain and had a blast
While waiting for my turn Camden pointed out a hidden mickey in the cactus
Then it was me and Jayedyn's turn That ride is such a rush especially if you do The Goat Trick (which as you go around the turn you watch the goat at the top and only the goat it gives you such butterflies
I heard it about this on someone's Trip Report...
The kids are exhausted and we want to see the fireworks and parade but the wind is blowing pretty badly now . So we head on over to Fanastyland so the lil' ones can ride some more rides
I did not know that MIL was snapping these pictures of me and lonnie By sleeping beauty's drinking Fountain.

We ask a CM if they are doing fireworks and she say's that they don't think they are because the wind was blowing a lil bit to strong so we make our way out of the park
People are lining up for the parade and Mayson decided's it's all about him he is shaking people's hands and giving rock to all the people on the sides and waving like he is part of the parade Luckily the people were really nice and are appeasing him

It takes us about 15 mins to walk Main street to the front gates.

And all in all it is a great ending to a wonderful trip except for the fact that Jayedyn did not get to do Ariel's Grotto and wear her princess dress i worked hard on but she is not bitter one bit.
As we are making our way to the Tram My MIL stops at the ticket window, with complete puzzlement on our face we wait .
We load up on the Tram and 4 outta the 5 kids are out by the time we get to the car.
We load up all our stuff and Make our way out for the last time, We end up back at the hotel and the kids are out cold asleep and snoring very loudly
i begin to pack our stuff
I start to put Jayedyn's Princess dress in the suitcase and MIL tells me not too I look at her puzzled she reaches into her purse and pulls out two Park hopper passes for Sat. for me and Jayedyn and a Reservation for Ariel's Grotto @ 8:40
She apologizes for being a B**** and that Jayedyn can't miss her breakfast and she has to wear her dress i worked so hard on .. I tell her thank you and continue to pack because i now have to have this done before we go to breakfast tommorow..

I can't believe your MIL felt the need to share (scream) that Jayedyn is part Jamaican. :eek: I would have died!

It was cool she bought the park hoppers and Ariel's Ghetto TIX. That was one expensive meal! :flower3:

I am actually just loading my pictures all to photobucket and writting our day at Ariel's so i can finish up my trip by next week . i think the hardest part is loading the pictures ... especially with 3 kids off track from school and a 2 yr old and 5 yr old who want all my attention...
The writting is easy since i already have that much done because of my journal i wrote while standing in lines or waiting to ride rides...;)

OMG! TOT without a seatbelt!!! :scared1: You must have been absolutely terrified when you saw that!

We had a similar experience at Disney with the hopper pass thing. We had our hands stamped, but didn't realize we needed to show our tickets again to get in. The CM told my SIL (Barbara) who is hard of hearing that he needed to see her ticket. But, since she is deaf, she didn't hear him. He started yelling at her, and she was confused and embarassed. I was so mad at him that I filled out a complaint too!

I can't believe you MIL did that for you!

Oh Misty, great update. Love the pictures of TOT, your DH looks so scared. I wouldn't go on that ride either. The whole no seat belt thing would have freaked me out too. The pictures of Will and Jayden are cute also. You have such a beautiful family. I am so shocked that MIL bought you those tickets. That was very nice of her considering all the drama she usually causes. I can't wait to see those pictures. Ariel is my fav too.

Wow, this has been one exciting ride. What a great trip report. I am so glad I found this as I was looking through DL trippies. We are going in Dec & I am just loving reading about DL.

Your MIL is something else :eek: :scared: I hope you know that you have fulfilled your quota of taking her on vacation with all that you have put up with on this trip. You should neva eva have to go on vacation with her again :scared1: & please tell me you won't. It was a nice guesture that she came through with the tickets & breakfast reservation......:rolleyes1 but WOW is all I can say about her behavior. I am surprised you didn't blow up way before you did. :worship: I would have insisted she get her own room after the first night.

Your kids are adorable & I loved the Mickey/Minnie outfits & the pic of little Mr Mickey tooteling down Main Street is adorable.

Can't wait to read about breakfast & thanks for entertaining me this afternoon.

Let's just say that i should have yelled at my MIL way early on in the trip :confused3 because the last night was a wonderful dream (well that is how it felt to me ) because i swallowed my estrogen pill and my head hit the pillow :cloud9: and i woke up to my DH telling me that i needed to get up for the breakfast :cheer2:

He had Jayedyn's Hair curled and she was just waiting to put on her dress . She looked like a true Princess.princess:

I did not get all dressed up i threw on my Princess shirt a pair of capri's and my pirate hat, because like a dork i had packed all our stuff away( Because right after the Breakfast we were on our way back Home .);)

Lonnie drove us over and dropped us off, We exited the car and were immediately escorted like royalty to the tram,

They asked what DD's name was and immediately started to call Her "Royal Princess Jayedyn"

We arrived at the Gates of DCA and were escorted once again through with a few Twirls , comments about her dress(which makes this mommy very happy) and smiles .

There were signs leading us to where we needed to go so we started on our way

I had my camcorder today so i was recording and snapping pictures as we walked along

As we walked Every Cm that passed us asked Jayedyn's name and then Bowed .

Jayedyn Got into character and courtesied and waved her hand like royalty she then proceeded to say "Have a Royal Day" !
which made me laugh but one look from her made me stop .. i thought i was about to be Be-headed and then she cracked a smile and laughed.

we had a very short wait to see Ariel.

While in line she was asked about her dress and where she bought it and she just smiled huge and Replied My MOM made it for me " We made our way over to the banister and could see Her at the bottom. She was beautiful.... Finally it was our turn She signed mine and Jayedyn's Autograph book

Our waiter came out and told us how the morning would go and what was for breakfast .

1st course was meats and cheese and of course Croissants, jelly and fruit.

The meat was salamie that was made to look like a Rose ..

Jayedyn immediately dove into the fruit and i had a croissant and some jelly Because i could not eat the fruit because I am allergic but i don't think Jayedyn would have let me anyway.

Our main meal arrived and it was an american Breakfast style scrambled eggs , Potatoes and something else ?????

5 Mins later a royal trumpet was blown annoucing the arrival of the 1st Princess...

It was Cinderella she made her way over to the table and i thought Jayedyn would burst with excitement she signed our autograph books and then after some talk about Jayedyn's hair and dress they posed for some pictures and she made her way to the next table .

After another five mins the same thing happened and it was Princess 2
Belle
she as expected was beautiful and so sweet
she signed autograph books and posed for pictures and talked to her for 5 mins about the same things

Then it was Announced that the 3rd princess was
Snow White
(now i have to admit i was not a huge fan of her but after this meeting i have a change of heart

She walked ever so sweetley to our table and placed a hand on Jayedyn's shoulder They talked for 5 mins and She was amazing (i was in love with that perfect Princess Hand gesture )

Wow
to our suprise it was for the One and Only
Fairy Godmother,
Jayedyn was a lil' sad because she really wanted to meet Aurora but after she was at our table she was fine .

Fairy Godmother came to our table and Jayedyn asked her for her autograph and she was a lil' shocked That she wanted it. She replied i am not a princess and Jayedn say's if it weren't for the godmothers looking out for them there would be no princesses. Fairy Godmother looked up from signing the books and smiled at her she asked her about her dress (which was a Huge Hit ) and then she told me that i could help Sew for Cinderella and the Princesses.
I laughed and said no i 'm not that good yet ...

She gave me a huge hug and then she posed for pictures

After breakfast was over we sat and talked for a bit (at this point Jayedyn did not have any clue that this was our last day ) i did not want her upset at her princess breakfast

We decided that we would go to the ladies room and make our way out to get our souvenir pin at the nearest pin place

I could not resist taking a photo of Jayedyn walking up the stairs holding her dress out like a true princess as the Cm's Bowed

and we wanted to hit Soarin" we made our way up there just to find that there was a HUGGGE line and no Fast passes for us ...

I called Lonnie to find out where he was and to meet us out in the parking area .

I tried to convince Jayedyn to hit the Tower of Terror with me one more time and she still refused.

A couple of people stopped us to ask What shop we had purchased her dress ?

The more this had happened the Prouder i got saying i made it ...

We rode the tram and i started to cry because i knew that it was my last day and i just did not want to go back to the real world of housework, homework , and anything non-disney

Jayedyn had to do some twhirlin as we approached dad and Grandma and she had a huge smile on her face

He told her and she grabbed the nearest pole and began pouting and saying no,

She did not cry, DH handed her a change of clothes but she wanted to wear her dress still.

Goodbye's with the boys and grandma had been done this morning at Breakfast so me and Jayedyn said ours and loaded in the van and as we drove away we all said Goodbye to DisneyLand and headed on home .

We had made plans to stay over in Las Vegas but ended up Cancelling our reservation We hit the Disney Outlet store (like we needed anything else ) grabbed lunch and made it Home safely before Midnight .
I was excited to be at home and excited to pick up My Daizie Dog the next day ...

I am so glad that i was able to experience Disney Magic with My Family

His MIL not as much but overall it was a blast because i was with my DH and my kids ...

Now we are saving up for our vacation To Disney World in 2009 ....
