I have been on 5 cruises thus far, but never during the summer. Can someone out there give me an idea of what it is like weather wise. Am I ruining my chances of Castaway Cay because of hurricanes?

We went last Halloween cruise and strong currents prevented us from getting in.

We are going on the 7 day Magic on August 3rd.

Thanks,

Hurricane Season runs from June 1 to November 30, but the peak of activity tends to be from mid-August to mid-October. You'll probably be fine sailing on August 3.

Our first 3 DCL cruises were in your time period. No problems. It is rainy season whether you have a hurricane or not. We always had the afternoon rain shower, just like in the Rocky Moutains. The temps are hot but OK when at sea because of the wind. At night it was nice to walk around the ship because it was hot. Kathy

Thanks so much. We usually go when kids are in school, but this year decided to go before school started.

We went in August last year. It was wonderful. There was a brief rainshower on departure but that was it. It also wasn't too hot because of the ocean breeze.
