More great updates Scott:thumbsup2 Don't get what was up with the last photopass pic either:confused3 Maybe it is how the CM's amuse themselves throughout the day, making guests look foolish:confused3 :lmao:

great update, scott!
i don't really enjoy the GMR but something funny happened last time, and i know my DD will always want to go on it.
so we were there in november, and my daughter was basically potty trained, but not great at knowing before we got on a line if she should go or not. so needless to say, we (she and i, never DH) got off a ton of lines to go to the bathroom. so we all get on this line, DH, DS, and probably7 other people with us. we just get to the room that's like a theatre, right before you get on the ride, but we're at the top. of course she needs to go. so the CM tells us just tell the CM outside and he'll bring you back. so we do, first he made us walk all funny - "walk this way" and he brings us to the bottom of that room. so he asks us my husband's name, and he starts screaming it out at the top of his lungs, "SEAN! SEANYYYYYYYYY"
my daughter could not stop laughing. it turns out they were already on the ride, so he kept yelling it out, and all the people were laughing. maybe because they knew it would be a boring ride, but it was pretty funny, and she still talks about it all the time.
phew, that was too long, sorry.
i love the pictures of WL and DHS. i too, cannot believe all those youngsters don't want to ride RNRC. chickens! but that photopass picture is so funny, with the pose! they all are cracking me up!
so where too next? hard to guess. maybe star tours?

oh gosh...the "great" movie ride just made me laugh. it was far too cheesy, even for me. we had a female gangster and sadly, she was no good at all. i felt kind of bad. and the fact that they jump on such a slow moving vehicle to make their quick getaway is just hilarious.
did they ask you guys to sing along to "follow the yellow brick road" at the end? they did for us. but no one sang along. it was funny. and slightly sad.

We never made it on to the GMR last year, the queue was always way too long but it was probably a blessing and I love how the kids said it was boring after they rode :lmao:

First of all Happy valentines day:) Secondly, love the updates. I am all caught up for the day again. I  DHS. I don't know why, but it is in second place after MK. I know a lot of people don't really care for this park, but I love it! I enjoy the great movie ride even though its cheesy and silly with mostly bad actors and I also enjoy the backlot tour. I am not a fan of tot or rnr. I like the street performers though. Did you happen to see any of them? Love all the pics and sorry gmr wasn't that great for you:) Your pictures aren't all blurry from it and most of them are pretty good. We didn't think to take pics so thanks for doing that so we know we should next time:) Can't wait to hear more!

Great update! Love your WL pics, makes me want to cancel the cruise and book WL instead :scratchin . DH would be annoyed though since he is looking forward to the cruise. I agree GMR is so boring. DD fell asleep in there when she was 2 and we haven't been on it ever since.
Thank you.
I would rather a cruise only because I have never done one.
I almost did too.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/sleep1.gif
I too am bored to tears by the GMR! Somehow I find myself on it, every single time!:lmao:
At least you got some great shots! My favorite piece of cement is Roger Rabbits, it's HILARIOUS!
The photopass pictures are GREAT!
Did you do the drawing thing???
I told Biff we are not doing it in September. No way. we will probably be on it. :lmao:
Next time I do want to look at more of the imprints.
Thanks.
great updates!!!!!
keep them comming!!!!:goodvibes
Thank you.
Great pics Scott. Your TR makes me home-sick for my home-away-from-home. Oh, Aug is too far away.
Oh, and the GMR is my end of day since we finished everything else ride. I like it, but it is the worst ride in the park. So we only do it if time permits.
Thank you.
makes me home sick too. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/cry.gif
September is further.
I would make sure time does not permit it. :rotfl2:
And yet, it's one of DD's favorites at the Studios! But, she's a diva at heart, and would love to be an actress herself - so all the "movie" stuff is right up her alley. :cutie: She really likes the costume displays on the way in. We waited entirely too long last June - it kept breaking down. But, she's already got it on her list for this June. DH says he'll plan his nap for that time. :lmao:
Happy Valentine's Day!
I love movies. I have over 2000 dvd's but I like to be entertained and that is not.
I would tell her the ride is no longer there and the signs r still up but it really is gone. :)
Happy Valentines Day Scott!

Ok so after the great Bore Ride we head down to the Animation Studio. The movie is going to start soon so we get in line.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0710.jpg
Soon we are in and seeing the show I guess as the guy demonstrates by drawing Mushu (sp?).
It was a nice show and then we are to proceed into the next area. We look at a display case and then go into the room where u can draw on the screen. So the kids fill in the colors on some drawings. Then I see it. Here come the photopass pics of this part.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/image134.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/image135.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/image137.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/image139.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/image141.jpg
So after this we walk around and of course Jake wanted no part of the Incredibles.
We were going to go into where u draw but the kids noticed the time and it was close to TOT time. That threw the drawing out, which I really wanted to do.
So we get to TOT 5 minutes early for our FP and the CM lets us in.
OOHHHH
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0716.jpg
scary
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0717.jpg
That is all for the pics. So within 5 minutes we are on the ride. The kids were nervous except Jake who was so cool, "oh no I am not nervous" but then I see him biting his nails. He does this when he is nervous.
We get on and I make sure everyone is fastened. I know we get to the drop because I have ridden before and know it. we drop...........................
then shoot up and all I hear is "Mommy".
Here we go again. So 5 drops and it looks like we are done. We get to the bottom and it is slowing and I think we are gonna go through the door and up we go again to the top. This was the longest sequence. It was fantastic.
We get off and we are thirsty so we get sodas because Tiny gets migraines and this triggered one. We decided to rest and have a snack. The kids got pretzels and I got french fries. I ask Tiny how she is and she says not good. "Do u want to go to the resort and relax" I ask and she said "yes".
So we take the bus back and we walk to the room.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0720.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0721.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0722.jpg
We went looking for the pool and laundry room and found it.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0724.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0726.jpg
back off to the room I like this pic.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0728.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0729.jpg
So we get to the room and we find this little guy waiting for us.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0734.jpg
I was asleep before any of them. I set it for a wake up call becasue we had reservations that night.
Will the sleep help Tiny's migraine or are we in for the night....

Ok let's back up, when we entered the park they made me open up all my zippers in my bag and I forgot to zip them up again. If u have ridden this ride you know where this going. So after the ride which is fun but I do wish they would refurb it I go to pick up my bag from under my seat. All my change $20+ all fell out in the bag holder. People were coming in already for the next ride so I had to leave it. This is when Scott said an un-disney like word. I was so mad it was my laundry money. Oh well, onto the shop we look around and decide to do the picture. Here is Jake and I.

I was so frustrated and the next herd was coming I just cursed and left.
The concert was a lot of fun. The cake looked nice that they brought out for him. I still have confetti they shot out of cannons in my jacket. My friend took pics and if she ever emails me them I will post.

OK, I had gotten behind again, but I caught up on your DHS day ...looks like you got to do a lot even with the nap break back at the resort.
We hadn't done the GMR before but DD8 really enjoyed it ...but I can see how it would get boring after a couple of times. And the Sigorney Weaver they had on it was just freaky looking :scared1:
Nice shots of you guys on main street and cool that you got pics with the Incredibles! We were looking for them, but missed them this time around. Great pics inside Star Tours too - I didn't go on that one so it was nice to see some shots inside there. They certainly did more with it than they did for the one at DL.
Your resort looks very peaceful - nice place to escape back to when it gets too hectic :) I lookforward to the next installment bud! :thumbsup2 :cool1: :thumbsup2

So after we left the Star Tours area we walked down an area I have not been down before.
First we walked down this road and we saw this.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0756.jpg
We walked down looking at the buildings and saw the ABC Commisionary. We saw the area for Monsters Inc. but no one wanted to meet them.
Next up were the Streets of America and this was my first time here.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0757.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0758.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0759.jpg
So we walked to the back because I wanted to do the tram.
I loved seeing this, I loved this movie.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0760.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0761.jpg
We get to the tram and the last one went already for the day.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0762.jpg
Oh well next time.
So we started walking up front again.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0763.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0764.jpg
I told Sissy to climb it, she said "it is not real" and I said "it is in San Francisco" and she said "never". That is such a shock.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0765.jpg
Ooh such a sexy little Piggy.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0767.jpg
Bacon anyone? :rotfl2:
I love this fountain.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0768.jpg
So we decided to go in and see this. I like this show but hate the pre-show. This also could use a refurb.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0770.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0771.jpg
So the kids liked it but thought Philharmagic was much better.
We walked to the front of the park.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0773.jpg
This is definitely where she belongs.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0775.jpg
We were going to go in here but decided not to.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0776.jpg
Now a funny story, we get to here http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0777.jpgand decide we are all thristy so as I sit there taking orders and I go up up to order and they pull the gate down on it. They closed it on me. I laughed I said what timing. I really wanted something to drink.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0778.jpg
So with this we come to the end of Part IX.
Will Scott get a drink?
Will we get on one more ride?
What about dinner?

Hey, it's the weekend that you were going to be away from the boards!!! We're getting an unexpected update! :woohoo: Thanks! :goodvibes
Those pictures from The Little Mermaid were pretty good! Isn't that an amazing show! My little nieces :dance3: just love it!!! Ariel is their favorite!
well that is a good excuse as to have to catch up.
did u have a good time?
Ok now I have caught up to page 126. You look like you are having so much fun with your cousins. I love the train in Germany, and the buildings too. I am from Milwaukee WI, so we have a big population of German immigrants, I guess I feel at home in Germany at EPCOT.:rotfl: Have you ever had the buffet there? We may have to try it on a future trip.
My trip was great, a quick 2day, 4 park trip. We even went to MK twice:yay: , I always have to finish my trips at MK:love:
We had wonderful warm weather, which is so unusual for Feb. But we loved it.

Bad pic alert, bad pic alert.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0821.jpg
I told the kids to wait ouside while I check in.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0822.jpg
Once I checked in I was told to wait in the living room so I did. I got the kids and we sat inside.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0823.jpg
Watched some tv.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0824.jpg
the table.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0825.jpg
Here is the other area. The people who were here got called so we moved in there.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0826.jpg

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0829.jpg
It was a cute place. Well after 35 minutes we were finally seated. I forgot to ask for a table with a tv like someone told me to do but here is our table.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0832.jpg
Yes we got a tv.
So we all ordered shakes except for Tiny becasue kids are not offered them.
These shakes were so good.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0830.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0831.jpg
I had the pot roast and the kids had fried chicken. Tiny had a hot dog probably.
a napkin.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0834.jpg
This basket had our silverware and when we sat down Cousin Patty asked for the basket and handed it to Jake and told him to set the table. :rotfl2: he did too.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0835.jpg
The shelf where the tv was.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0836.jpg
Now the food. The kids enjoyed there's. I was a little hesitant because of some bad reviews but this food was delicious. I finished everything on my plate.
someone else did not and was told to.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0841.jpg
Tiny was hysterical at this also.
So she tried to feed Tiny some of Jakes chicken.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0840.jpg
Then we got the viewfinders and Sissy and I had the brownie sundae's and Jake had a regular sundae.
I was surprised the food here was delicious and the service was so much fun. Now the reason it was our favorite meal was the service. Cousin Patty was great and if I go back I will ask if she is working.
I think I left her a 40% tip.
Then we left.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%204/012208_0837.jpg
Went back to hotel and got ready for our next day.
Goodnight Sissy.

Glad to hear that you had a good time at PTC, it really does look like a fun time. The menu is not much to my liking though so I'm not sure that I will ever eat there. The kids certainly look like they enjoyed the meal as well.

Good stuff Scott! Keep it coming.
We had dinner at the Prime Time on our trip, but it was totally different than yours. I won't hijack your TR with the lengthly details, but it was not what I had expected at all. Our server did not "play his role" at all, which was very disappointing. That was the whole reason for picking that restaurant.
Oh well, just means I have to go back to give it another try!!

I'm glad you had a good time at Primetime. We're booked there for March 17th, and I'm planning on trying the fried chicken. The pot roast sounds good, but I just hear so many people talk about the chicken, I've got to give it a try.
Last time, I had the meatloaf, and since I was deathly afraid of being chastised by our server, I ate the whole meal. I was purely miserable after eating that whole plate, but I wanted no attention brought on me, so I ate it. I had thoughts of hiding some of it under my napkin, but I was afraid I'd get caught at that, too.
Anyway, we're going again for the sake of our friend who is going with us this time, since she was also a child in the fifties. We think she'll really enjoy it.
Your pictures say you guys are having a good time. What a good cousin you are!

after we got back the kids called there mother and I called Biff. My camera I noticed had hi-light on and I needed to take it off. He helped me thankfully and then he informed me about Heath Ledger. What a sad story that is. I liked him, good actor.
I really need to check my notes more often, the girls ended up swimming for 30 minutes then showering and then going to bed.

We ate there is 2005 and were not to thrilled with it. We waited over a hour and did not have that great of a CM. Dh dinner was not good well, and they served us dessert will he was eating his dinner. So I guess we will have to try it again and ask for Patty.

Well I found out the meds Tiny and Jake are taking is because they r both bi-polar according to my Uncle. Maybe that has something to do with there moods.

I love the little mermaid. We didn't go see it on our last trip so I hadn't seen it since I was 12, but we went at Christmas time when we were there and I about froze to death between the "wind and the rain" that they make in there. I loved it though...just next time i'll put on a hoodie or before I go in. I had forgotten about these effects. Sounds like you had a great time at PTC. I would like to go there, but I don't want to be scolded and stuff like that. I don't take kindly to being told to eat my food and what not. Woke up at 7:15 am and went down to do laundry. It was peaceful in there and quiet. 1 other person came in and then left. The dryers say 30 minutes for $2 but 50 minutes later it finally turned off.
8:45 am I call the room. No answer.
I call back and Tiny answers I say " tell Jake to wake up and take a shower" and she said ok.
The girls took showers the night before.
So I get back and fold the laundry and then take a shower.
10 am we went to Riverside Mill to have breakfast and by 11 we are at Animal Kingdom.

Hmmm you dogsit? What a fun job! I'm thinking of getting another dog this summer. We had a beagle. He was diagnosed with cancer and had to be put to sleep 3 days before Thanksgiving. I'm thinking it's time to give another beagle or two, or perhaps a shephard a new home. We shall see....

The safari? Dinosaur?
Great pics, it is a photo dream. You really can't go wrong taking pics at AK
Sounds like you had a great and productive start to your day...looking forward to the rest!
:)
no the whole park is a nice place for photos.
Nice pics Scott. You definitely got a lot of pics of things I didn't notice when we were there!
thank you. I didn't have little ones to watch as much as you. I just had to say every few minutes "is Tiny here" that was it.
The safari?
i will say, ooh I cannot say. wait and see.
Okay...man I was behind!!! I took a day off though and now I'm back!
Glad you had a good time at the PTC....my family always picks the SciFi so I need to make the wrong reservations one time ;) and try it out.
I'm sure the server makes or breaks the meal so glad you got a good one.
Did the kids make fun of the 50's decor? I'm sure my parents would love it in there.
My Ds always swims wherever we go that has a pool. I don't think it matters to kids what the temp is!
Love these set of AK pics too. I love all the details and pictures are an awesome way to take you right back to that place!!!
Can't wait to see what is next and looking forward to the remaining 61!
glad your caught up.
We might have done Sci-fi later in the week.
No the kids loved the way it looked.
:rotfl2: they did not care if it was cold or warm, they wanted to swim.
actually 59 now, i combined 2 installments on the last one.

Great pictures!

really cool pictures, scott!
i'm going to guess dinosaur, since you didn't get on it last time.
we'll see!
btw, that's weird about the reviews of little mermaid, and the heely's and that. i didn't find them distracting at all. we did think that there were a LOT of songs in the beginning, but we still really loved it.
in fact i can't wait for the soundtrack to be released. i think it's soon now.
have a great day! also, what day was this at AK?
thank you.
close but you will find out later tonight.
I have seen 4 reviews that were not favorable to it.
Thanks Scott! There just may be a cameo appearance (eventually) by everyone's favorite cousin!:rotfl: (or uncle, he'll answer to that too right?)

Now let me take a moment and tell a story of a bad parent a dad to be exact. Now I told Tiny she had no choice but of course if she did not want to go one of us would have sat off. Ok back to story, this kid was HYSTERICAL. Crying, screaming "NO". The father looks at him and said "don't be a baby you have been on it before". I thought "Ok maybe that is why he is hysterical."
All the way into the film part we heard him.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/day%205/012208_1703.jpg
Then after the film and all the way onto the ride he was hysterical. The CM's asked if the father was sure. His response was "he will be fine, I am not sitting off because he is scared."
My jaw fell to the floor. The kid was 6 or 7. He also told the kid to shut up because he was scaring the other kids on the ride. A few adults said they were scared and they ridden it before. Jake looked at me and said "he get's father of the year award."
The cm's gave them there own vehicle. I think it was a ploy for that in the pic at the end the kid was loving it.
It was sad.
So we get on the ride and I sit on the end and so does Jake. I tell Tiny to remember it is fake.
It was a fun ride. here is our pic................

Loved your AK pics and updates....too bad that guy was being like that to his kid...I really hate seeing that....we saw that this past Jan. too, the parents were forcing their kids on a ride, and when the one was crying in line, the dad told her to stop crying as she is ruining everyone elses time, & they don't need to hear her cry...just a shame....Can't wait to see what you guys got up to next!!

I love the little smiley's holding up the date cards. Where did you get those?
Dinosaur is a scary ride. We went on in a bunch of times and almost every time we had a kid that would be crying or scared once the ride started. I really enjoyed looking at everyone's photos afterwards. Too funny! I could seriously stand there forever and look at the pictures of people getting scared on Dinosaur.

I would of made them...you made them go on the rest of the stuff. :thumbsup2 I would of pulled rank. Have you seen it before if not your missing out! It was a great show! Can't wait to hear more. :goodvibes Hopefully you didn't let Jake waste his money at the gift shop.

Scott,
I'm :rotfl2: at the Dinosaur picture. Do you think I should make my kids go on it?? We probably won't go to AK :sad2: since we only have 3 park days and want to got to Typhoon Lagoon this trip. But I love AK and might try to fit it in. Jake's pics are great too.
Your PTC updates was also great! I just made a ressie for there in March. DH really has been wanting to go there for a while.
I asked Biff if he wanted to do the water parks in September and he said I want to see Disney, not water parks. :snooty: excuse me I said. We will do it probably 1 day next time.
Hope you get a fun server.
great update! i LOVE that picture at the end of dinosaur.
sissy is hiding in tiny! :rotfl:
it is pretty scary, even if you know it's fake.
:rolleyes1 too bad i don't have the picture from when i went on it with friends a few years ago. i didn't buy it, because i didn't want to remember how scared i was!
Thank you.
yes the tables turned on that ride. Tiny had a good time making fun of Sissy.
I would have liked to have seen that.
Hey Scott!! Great updates once again, I am glad that you guys liked PTC (See how far behind I got again??!!lol) We really enjoy it there too, such a unique experience!
Thank you.
it was very fun.
In MK we walked by a family and this mother was screaming at her kid about leaving a $10 toy in the restaurant and losing it. This kid was hysterically crying and was only 3 years old. :sad2: just say u lost it you are not getting a replacement, why scream at a child at Disney especially one so young, maybe the mother should have been watching more and all this for $10.
Oh man! I LOVE Dinosaur and you know it! There's just something about it that makes me start laughing halfway through the ride. I think it's because I'm getting thrown around and it's so hard to hang on! And I know you LOVED my pose for the pic! :cutie:
I do remember your pic. It wasn't long ago your report.
I enjoy it. I do like the Indiana Jones ride better in Disneyland.
:thumbsup2 More great pictures. I'm sure I will be like Sissy in ours.
Thank you.
:rotfl2: be brave.
Dinosaur. The ride that scared the crap out of Alec. :lmao: Did you buy that photo?
poor Alec.
Yes I did and I had to scan it in.
Great Dino pic. It was probably a ploy by the father and son but you never know.
you never know but either way he was a horrible man.
Great dinosaur picture. Too funny that Sissy was scared but Tiny loved it. :rotfl2:

I will next time I go see it.
I made them do something coming up soon.
I think by the end of the day they were all broke.
I ended up buying them all crocs.

Then Tiny because her sneakers were ripping. :confused3

At this point the kids came back and said the line is too long. This is what annoyed me the most. The wait time said 25 minutes.
Ok quick let's get through the gift shop. Jake is wanting to waste his money.
Up next will they get on PW or will we just leave. ......
Aren't you glad you didn't go in summer when the lines are really long?

i hate when you hear people yell at their kids at disney (well, anywhere really), aside from the occassional " you must to listen to me." i'm really guilty of that one, but i believe there's a great reason for saying that.

I'm not Scott but I want to answer anyway...haha.
Indiana Jones at Disneyland has the same ride vehicles as Dinosaur. But it's a totally different theme, of course. I really enjoy both rides...I don't think I could pick which is better. Except I do LOVE the Indiana Jones movies a lot.

I really don't know. I suppose I'd probably go with Indiana Jones over Dinosaur. I just asked the husband and he agrees.
