Hello,

First, thanks to all who have helped me so far. I am new to this and I am learning alot. This is great.

My questions is this:

Has anyone used Web Certificates for discounts. Are they worth the effort?

I'm assuming you're talking about earning WebCertificates through various rewards programs, and then using them to pay for part of your trip.

If that's what you mean, then yes, I've done it and thought it was very worthwhile. You might want to post on the Disney Rewards board and I imagine you'll find a lot of people who can respond to your question.

Yes we earn webbies and take the webcertificate Mastercard with us to pay for meals etc. Works well. All of us have accounts. My son carries his with him on vacation. That is how we handle his spending money. Teaches him to budget his money and become responsible. Best is we do not have to be with him or worry about him carrying cash.

used the WebCert M/C last trip actually took the card to the Disney Store and cash in for DisneyDollars.


No problems there.

I've never got the plastic card, I just got to the website and write down my MC number and exp date when I want to buy something over the internet and plug the info in.

First, I want to say WELCOME to another CT DIS-er! :wave:

I have the plastic card and I love it! I've used it both online and in stores & restaurants. It has worked out great for me. There are 3 of us in my family doing rewards to earn webbies. We all deposit them in one account, and then spend the results on something we want to do or buy together. I also use this card when I shop online so I don't have to give a regular credit card #.

I used ours a a number of places online for our trip. We used it to by the disney club card, buy our tickets, reserve our rental, and pay on our hotel (booked through dreamsunlimited.com). I never had any problem with it.
