What are your photography plans for the holiday weekend?
We're down in Mexico in the Playa Del Carmen area at a resort (Barcelo) for the week. My wife sliced her ankle on some coral yesterday (8 stiches), so we'll probably take it easy for a couple of days.

Let us know what you think of the Barcelo - we're there in Feb at the new Palace section.
Sorry about your wife. I always wear water shoes when we go to Mexico because I know that there is a lot of surface coral near the shore around that can't be avoided. Hope it wasn't fire coral!
You should at least have time for some nice sunrise/sunset images there.

I supposed I could do a self portrait of me up to my elbows in stuffing. :confused3
Hope your wife is doing better Mark. :goodvibes That doesn't sound like much fun. Is she in much pain?
Looking forward to seeing your photos from the trip.

I'm the wrong person to review the resort. I'm just here with extended family. I don't drink, don't like smoke, and start my day at 5:00 AM. These aren't good attributes for person at an all-inclusive Mexican beach resort.

I've heard there is "great" snorkeling at the resort and I know you do stuff underwater;) so maybe you can come back and let us/me know what you think. And, if there are any kids that go to the kids club, would love to hear about that.
I am sure you will come back with at least a photo essay:lmao:

AK then Trail's End for us!!! AK is open until 8:00 the whole time we are there, so I am hoping to get some evening/night shots over there.

Mark, sounds like you'll be coming back with some interesting pics. What a great way to spend TG surrounded by family and photo ops! Wishing DW speedy recovery. Hope she had some fun before the coral incident. Now she has a good excuse to laze around the pool.:)
We're hosting TG here this year for family and friends. DS flying home from college in Orlando will be a "Folgers moment" but skies here in the NE are dreary no "Kodak moments" I'm afraid.
