Will Teppan Edo be a part of the 2008 Dining Plan?

We love Teppanyaki and want to eat at Teppan Edo, but I heard that it might not be on the Plan as of now. Any info would be great!

Can't definately confirm it but a couple of people have booked ADR's for 2008& been told that Disney are expecting them ( & others) to sign up to the DDP.Not the confirmation that you were after but like you we are waiting for the final confirmed list.

I called yesterday and made and ADR for Teppan Edo, for May, and the CM said "Just so you are aware Teppan Edo is not on the Dining Plan" That is all she said, I didn't ask further questions because we aren't doing the DP, but I just thought I would tell you what she told me...

Right now, the information isn't exactly consistant. When I booked our ADR for Jan, I was told it was on the plan. When I called the Monday before last to check if the updates were available yet, I was told it wasn't. When I called last week, I was told it was. But other DISers are reporting getting just the opposite answers during the same time frame, and we're all eagerly awaiting an official update from Disney which is has been far too slow in coming.

So the answer at this point seems to be "Who knows?" :confused3

Disney has posted a revised brochure with an updated list of restaurants. All the previous missing restaurantsexcept Teppan Edo, Tokyo Dining and Tutto Italia now show as participating.

Disney doesn't have any reason to improve compensation to the restaurants. The restaurants may try to go without accepting DDP.

I don't think it looks great.

They're not listed as participating restaurants in the 2008 brochure. The original 2008 brochure didn't list any of the non-Disney restaurants but the brochure that just went up lists other non-Disney restaurants but doesn't list those 3.

According to a supervisor at Disney Dining, the three that are missing are still listed as "pending", which indicates no decision has been made either way. Hopefully they'll be added soon. She recommended I call back Dec 1 to check again (little does she know I've been calling every Monday for a month! LOL).

I'm too waiting for them to be added to the DDP. I called on Saturday to check my ADR's for March and the CM said nothing yet as of last Friday. She said don't cancel yours just yet though!! That gives me the indication that they are almost ready to sign on the dotted line.

After the DIS unplugged review I'm thinking of changing my reservation anyway.... I was so excited. :sad1: We love this style of cooking, I have a 3 year old I thought would really like it but now....maybe it would be best to change. I guess waiting a few more days couldn't hurt....:confused3

Now I am confused. I just made an ADR for Teppan Edo for our trip in 2 weeks because I assumed they are on the ddp- was I wrong in thinking this? The cm I had didn't tell me otherwise- can anyone confirm that they are on the plan for this year? :confused3

Teppan Edo is part of this year's 2007 DDP. Hopefully, they will be added to the 2008 plan as well.
