Well I finally finished up some of the Autograph Cards I have been working on over the last few weeks. I uploaded 68 of them to a photo bucket account.
I am hoping this link works so I don't have to post all 68 of here. This isn't a complete set. Heather did quite a few of them already and they are in her thread called Autograph Page designs. In addition, I believe she is posting more this weekend? Here's the link.

I am working on a few more and hope to post another 10 this weekend. According to the list I am using, there are still about 50 more to do.
I learned a lot doing these and :rolleyes1 hopefully the next ones go easier then the first ones I did. :lmao:

I did them with my Mom in mind. She is 80 and is joining us on our next trip. My niece & Nephew in law (coming home from Iraq in January) and their 3 daughters (3 1/2 yr old twins & an 8 year old) are going to WDW. They are staying at the Poly. We (Mom, Hubby, & Sister) are going for part of their trip (and staying in a 2 bedroom either OKW or BW). When I asked my Mom about her expectations for this trip (she is in a wheelchair and tires easily these days). She responded "I want my great grandchildren to have good memories of me". I figured if I could get some of these cards signed (while they were getting cards signed) I could include them in a photo memory book. That way, years from now they will look back and see their "Mee Mom" on a trip that was fun for them. So this really was (and is cause I have about 50 to go) a labor of love. I am hoping Heather posts some this weeknd and they are ones I don't have completed. :lmao: :lmao:

They all look fantastic - and I completely understand the learning curve involved. Great job sticking with it - now (like you said) they will only get better and easier to create.

The only thing I noticed though is that Ariel is the only one that doesn't have her name on her page. I wasn't sure if that was intentional.

The Arial was intentional at the time as there was discussion going back and forth as to if you needed their name on a card you were going to have autographed. I need the names otherwise I won't remember them. :lmao:

I've been downloading the other designer's autograph pages without the names and I was hoping to stay consistent one way or the other :rotfl: throughout the books I'm creating.

Fairy Aunt Mother - I wasn't planning on doing them without the names. I kept the names on so I would know all the characters. At 59 years old, my memory is not the best. :lmao: Plus they are still playing with medications (recent hospitalization) and I think that's impacting the memory too. :confused3 The good news is I am up half the night doing autograph cards.
I posted the cards as Jpgs so I don't think you can make any changes. However, if you had some in mind I would email you off the ufo files and you can change them. Or you could wait a while & I will do it next weekend?

I decided I was being mean spirited by not deleting names, resaving and then posting. So all except one or two are done. I still have about 30 more to do.
I need clip art for some, I know nothing about the power rangers so if someone can find clipart for them and identify the clip art, I will make the cards. Also, I am trying to find out if Terrence and Shaker are the same Country Bear & then I will do that group. Penny

Here's one that is near and dear. It's Scoop. :cool1: I am an advid pin trader so I knew I had to do one for him. The problem was a photograph with other people in it (that I didn't know). So I covered them up. Now here's hoping I see him at least once in Feb. If not, I am sure he will be at the AK pin event in May.:yay: :yay: :yay:

These are so great. However, everytime I try to save and print, I get a small black dot. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried from this thread, from photobucket and by emailing from each.

Where are you seeing the black dot?

I've saved, resized and created a PowerPoint document with the pages. I've printed a sample of a few pages and I don't see a black dot anywhere.

Could it be your printer? Or are you seeing it on the screen as well?

I haven't tried to print them. When I try to open them onscreen, all I see is a black dot. When I look at the file, the dimensions say 0 X 0. Actually it says that on all but 2 (Ariel and Scoop).

I have tried to download the full size from photobucket and from the thread itself. I haven't had any problems with any others (the ones from Heathers thread and website or the tshirt transfers), so I am kind of at a loss as to what's going on. When I look at the properties of the files, it looks like there is no information at all.

I did a few autograph cards of Giselle from Enchanted. I also have Pip on the card (and in gif). Also, I made a few gifs that are there also. I uploaded them in JPG. I have all of my pictures in UFO also. If someone wants one or two of the UFOs, let me know and I will email them.

Well I finished my Autograph Book. My original idea was to my Autograph Cards that I could put in a photo book for both my Niece and my mom after our trip. We are going on a 4 generation trip 2/4/08. My niece is taking her 3 children and my mother (their great grandmom) is taking another trip to the World. :cool1: As the twins are only 3 I wanted to make a photo book that they would look back and remember the trip they took with their MeeMom. :goodvibes My DH (the photographer) will take a picture of each of the girls & MeeMom getting autographs and then I will get two cards signed and one of them will go into each book with the pictures of everyone with the character. I wasn't sure how I was going to carry them around the park since I printed 2 each of about 175 characters. :scared1: I know we won't get more than 15 or 20 autographs, but I wanted to be prepared for anyone we might see. :lmao: I had the cards in envelopes but that became cumbersome. Then I found a 100 page 4x6 photograph book for $1 in AC Moore. I bought two of them and put the aurtograph cards in the book alphabetically. Since I carry my pin bag with me anyway, I will just carry these books in the bag. Once the Autographs cards are signed I will move them to the empty pages in the back of the book and take them out when I get back to the hotel. I can't wait. :love:

I finished my journals :worship: & thank you to the person who did them originally and now all I need to do is my tshirts and door decorations.

The autograph pages are terrific, and I can't wait to make books for my DDs 2 and 5 for our trip. We leave Feb. 7, so we'll be there part of the time with you, Penny! I don't know if I'm the only one having this problem - but trust me, I am NOT complaining! Penny's 4x6 designs are coming out nearly 5x7 measured from the outside of the frames, while Heather's are 4x6 measured from outside the frames. So I printed all Heather's at 5x7 and they are very close in size now. Just thought I'd note this in case this is happening to anyone else. But they did such a great job playing off each other, that the pages all go together great! Thank you Penny and Heather! Y'all are da bomb! :worship:

After spending hours and hours doing these cards, my nieces decided they wanted the books they could buy in the hotel.:lmao:
Then they spent very little time getting autographs, so I stopped carrying the cards and then they spent the day getting autographs. So I decided I am going to use the cards in the photo album we are making without the autographs. :confused3
I figured that maybe I would try and get some autographs myself on the trips that I go down by myself. :cool1:

Hi Penny. My family met you at Crystal Palace last week. I can't tell you how excited we were. MyDH & I are on the boards every day and to actually meet another Diser was one of our vacation highlights. :cool1:

Hey there. I was going to post to find you. The kids had the greatest time. I have no children (long story short, wasn't able to have them) so my niece Jennifer (the mom of my great nieces) was spoiled by me. I am her godmother and she is much more like me in temperment than my dear sister. We both are drama queens and show our emotions all over our sleeves. :lmao: Anyhow, I was ok with the kidlets wanting their own books, it made it easier on me trying to find the cards.
Mommy had the greatest time (as you saw). Seeing her great-grandchildren at Disney is a wonderful memory.
Jim was a photograph taking fool. He took cloase to 1,000 pictures. :rolleyes1 That was great because we got about 600 great photos. Thanks to a wonderful collegue Bryan (husband of Jennifer) participated in the flag ceremony at MK on Tuesday. While I cried for 1/2 hour straight it was so moving. :cloud9:
Now back to meeting you. It was the topic of conversation at our table. it was like, Wow, Aunt Penny knows "people". People made us cool tshirts, people recognized Aunt Penny and someone set us up to do the flag ceremony. That must mean Aunti P is a Dis VIP. & I let them think that. :cool1: We didn't see any other disers except for you & I wish I had remembered to send Jim to your table for a picture. Thanks again for stopping us. It was so nice to meet you. & I hope you enjoyed your trip. Jim (DH who is not a Disney nut like me) said he had mixed feelings about this trip. It was too commando for him (ressies for breakfast and dinner and meeting people every morning to open the park). As he was the designated pusher of my Mom's wheelchair and the designated picture taker he didn't get much slack time. However, today while looking at the pictures, he said he was glad he went.

I love, love, love your LTT cards. I was a bit on the fence as to whether or not to eat at LTT on our next trip, but your cards have sealed the deal--we will go for sure!!! I brought about 75 of your cards on our trip in March and they were a huge hit with the characters. My DD4 loves her book and looks at the pages all the time. She was very nervous about meeting characters, but having them give her "special attention" because of her autograph pages really made her feel proud and confident. Don't know if you got your answer so I thought I would try. It depends on how many books you make. I was able to do 3 books on the best print setting on 1 full cartridge. So however much your ink costs. 2 of my books were large and the last was prob half the others size. Got them all bound, cut, and front and back cover laminated for about $25 total. I have seen some people getting them done cheaper than that as the laminate gets expensive but I want to make sure they don;t get messed up. Hope this helps

I don't remember what it cost me? I went through one 1/2 cartridges for shirts, journals & cards. I didn't have them bound, I put them in a photo-book I got for a $1 at the Dollar Store. :goodvibes

Here's the first ones for the Character Meal at Norway. Mary Poppins was dressed in the white dress when I saw her in February, so I made a gif of her. However, she may or may not look like the Mary Poppins you get to meet. So if that's an issue for your children, I also made one of the only two other Mary Poppins clip art I could find. I will be doing all of the other characters in clip art, not real people. Gifs are sooo time consuming.:badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Feel free to use them, that's why I posted them. I print them on 4x6 cards. you do need to line them up in a print program as some are bigger than others, I am not sure why that is. Some people make them into a powerpoint, but i don't know how to do that :confused3 . Just go to the photo bucket account (following the link). Click on them to make them bigger and then save them to your account. You can print them from the photo shop site but I have never done that & I am not sure how they will turn out. :confused:

Hi Penny,

I have been having a go myself at designing some autograph cards for the meals we have booked. I have done some for the Cinderella Meal at 1900 Park Fare. (apparantly it is now called 'Happily Ever After Dinner'). I know you said it takes you ages to do them (now I know what you mean!!), so can really appreciate all the hard work you have put in. Would you like me to post them. Don't want to if you have already done them, or you would rather do them as you had mentioned it.

Please, please post them. Even if I decide to do them (and I do have some ideas for them) it is great for people to have choices. I started doing this because Heather was doing it. I had so much fun I kept on. I was out of town last weekend, and the weekend before I was getting my pin listing caught up. Now that it is caught up, I will have some free time. However, it takes me forever to do a card because the writing has to reflect the character and I have to try out 23 fonts and see what looks best, and etc., etc, etc. (showing my age from the King & I?:lmao: )

Yes, it is almost done, but I wasn't happy with it so I am going to work on it some more this weekend. I use photo impact and they have some great frames. you can color them any color you want as well as changing the width and shadow of them. :goodvibes

Why thank you. Feel free to use any of them. In fact I hope lots of people use them as they took me so very long to make, I want to feel it was worthwhile. I also have a folder for no names on the cards as some people wanted them that way. Also, if you want any of them as a t-shirt, let me know. I made the tink one into a Making Magical Memories shirt and it is posted on my site along with a few other Making Magical Memories. My Sis has a thing about the children's names on their shirts as they are very trusting and would go with anyone who called them, so I did most of my shirts without names. :goodvibes

Some people said they were having trouble printing the cards. I have never tried to print them out from the site? however since people were saying they had problems I went to try it. I went to the site and tried to save as and it came out as a small dot after I saved it? I am not sure why it came out as a dot? :confused3 I then went and hit the resize button and made the picture bigger then I right clicked it to save it? I then opened it up and went to print it and it did not come out as a dot or blurry. I printed the cards on 4x6 cards.
I carried them in a 4x6 photo album that I got at the $1 store (I needed 2 books as I had 150 cards, each book carried 100 cards). I put all the cards in the book in Alpha order. when I needed a character, I pulled it out. I had a spring clip on the book so I clipped it to the photo album so I wouldn't have to carry a clip board for the characters to sign on.
Hope this helps and there will be no more dots? Penny :hippie:

Penny~Thank you SO much for doing these. We are doing several characters meals, and I can't wait to use these. I also love your idea of storing them in a photo album. I had been trying to figure out how I was going to do this because I wanted them unbound so that I can use them in my photo albums after the trip. I'm definitely stealing that :thumbsup2 !

People were asking me what I meant with the photo albums so I am posting pictures of what I mean.
Here's the photo album open to the pages. The books I bought in the Dollar store had 50 pages and held 100 autographs. I had 3 copies of each autograph in each slot. I imagine that if you only were carrying one autograph card of each character, you could put two or three characters in onr photo slot. I filed them alphabetically and filled a book and 1/2.

Here's a picture of the book closed. Note the spring clip at the top. I left it there so I could use it to hold the card in place for the characters.

They are all fantastic as usual. I have been doing some of those missing ones as I need 3 books for this trip and I was trying to make them all different!! Yes I have all my invites from Natalie and I have already personalised all of those and printed them. I have also used some of her journal pages and some of Kims (kfawver). These are almost ready to go. I am getting there slowly, but still a few months to go.

I don't go until the middle/end of Sept. The BBQ is fun. It's over in Ft. Wilderness. The characters dress up like cow folks. Mickey, Minnie, Chip Dale and Goofy. There is a roping show. A fiddle show. Lots of dancing and eating.

dumb question here but do these take a lot of ink with the back ground designs? I am trying to decide which autograph pages to do.

It's hard for me to remember/judge. I printed out a lot of stuff when I went in February, and then again in May. I may have gone through about two cartridges for over 30 shirts, magnets for the doors, 2 autograph books, 3 photo books with narrative and some clip art printed (not photos), 5 epcot passports (3 little, two 8 1/2 x 11), invitations, 4 tote bags, & a partridge in a pear tree.

Wow Penny, you must have a great printer. I am on my third ink cartridge and all I have printed out is an activity book pages and two autograph books, 2 shirt designs, and 1 passport. My printer is sucking the ink

I printed some things in draft mode, but mostly in regular. I did two shirts in the best mode. :goodvibes I also printed on 4x6 cards, which might not eat up as much ink as other types of paper, like photo paper?

For the power rangers, if it is not too much trouble, can you make 1 for each ranger and put Red Power Ranger, Yellow Power Ranger, Blue Power Ranger, White Power Ranger, and Yellow Power Ranger on their respective cards??? Or if you can't find their own clip art, their name on one of the cards with all the rangers in the background? Hope that made sense.

General Info: King Louie is the ape who wants to be a human! He is from the classic 1967 Disney movie The Jungle Book. At Disney World, he gets out, but he seemed to be more common in past years. He seems to make frequent appearances at Animal Kingdom, usually in Africa near where the path to Asia starts. This location is near the big drums that you can play there. Sometimes he is also in front of Animal Kingdom. He could pop up at MGM near the Big Hat. He is also known to meet in Magic Kingdom in Town Square (courtyard after entering the park), but he doesn't seem to be there much anymore. Sadly, many a child is disappointed when they meet him, as poor King Louie can't sign autographs, as his hands just can't hold a pen! Animal Kingdom is definitely the best place to find him.

Now I know why I have a picture of Elizabeth with BaLoo and King Louie, but only BaLoo signed her book. For the past year and half I thought the heat at AK just got to me:rotfl: . Please don't worry about doing a King Louie sheet; you're doing enough for me with letting me copy the sheets and making her title page. For her page, Elizabeth picked the very first one listed on the photobucket autograph cover page section. Not a problem. I also updated my character listing so it is a little more accurate and found that I was missing about 6 characters as well as the 6 fairies. I did some research and the Narnia ones I was planning on doing can wait as they won't be signing anytime soon except for Prince Caspian. I aslo found out that around 10/26 the following fairies should be signing. Tink, Silvermist, Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta. I have finished Tink, Fawn & Rosetta & need to do Silvermist & Iridessa. I am also going to finish them by doing Prilla, Rani, Lily & Vidia.:goodvibes I will do that this week sometime. I also hope to finally get back to my email. :) Penny:hippie:

The characters that are outstanding are Anakin Skywalker, Marie (Aristocats), Pincess Leia, Rabbit, Eva & Wall-E. Apparently, Disney no longer has Chip and Dale at the Cape May character breakfast. They were replaced with Donald. So sad!!!! That will be our last meal the day we leave!!! Hi Penny,
Apparently, Disney no longer has Chip and Dale at the Cape May character breakfast. They were replaced with Donald. So sad!!!! That will be our last meal the day we leave!!! I just finished decorating my clipboard for autographs yesterday, so other than this one page, my autograph assignment is complete!!!

Can you create a Donald page for the Cape May breakfast please? Thank you!!!

Thanks for Donald, looks great!! We leave on Sunday Oct 19. I've got all the index cards printed and my clipboard decorated, so we'll see how our first experience with autograph signing goes. I'll report back after our trip on how it all went.

Someone posted in another thread that Donald was now in Cape May so the Donald ones were changed (see above). Someone else posted that the fairy Godmother, Perla & Suzy moved to CRT. I really like the autograph pages you have with the images in the background. If you could do one for L & the T, I would appreciate it. The famous spaghetti scene would be great - but whatever you come up with will be fine!

I should ask too - are you doing these in Photoshop or Illustrator or what??? I should really try playing with designing more! We're also doing the Dine With Shamu on our upcoming trip and I want to come up with something for the trainer(s) to autograph. I just don't know the best place to start!

I would be glad to do one for L&T. I will do tomorrow night or Saturday morning. I use Photo Impact. I did a step by step task analysis (the special education teacher in me is showing) :lmao: for someone else. It can be found here. I would certainly be game to try one for Shamu, but Mickey/Amy does non Disney DISigns and is great at it, so you might do better going with her?

I played a bit w/Shamu in Photoshop tonight. I'll compare your PI notes to what I tried in PS. I think it's fairly similar. I even figured out how to use the "cookie cutter" tool to create the frames! I might get the knack of it in a few more attempts - and "oh, no" a new hobby for me! (Like I need one!:rotfl: )
