Ok here is where I will start my very first trip report. I am caving to intense pressure from my peers so I thought i would set up shop just to make myself commit.

I do not have time to do this justice right this second but in the coming days I plan to whip this baby out!

Here is the cast:

:cool2: Me: My name is Shawna, I'm a 33 year old SAHM. I've been married 10 years to a wonderful man I met while working at WDW. We are huge Disney freaks! I'm also known as the official friendly nonviolent stalker of the Disneyland chat thread. Do not fear me!:rotfl2:

pirate: Dh: Jeff. Was lucky enough to get my attention back in the good ole days. :rotfl: Came to WDW from KS and met the woman of his dreams (and nightmares!!!) :scared1: He's nuts about anything Pirates of the Caribbean and could be on that attraction for hours on end if they would let him. oh I want to point out that I would never spread his ashes here so not to worry! :lmao:

princess: Dd: Morgan is 7 and is the reason for this particular trip! She takes dance several hours a week as well as cheer and gymnastics. This girl wants to do it all and unfortunately has a mom who only has 24 hours in the day! She is in 1st grade. She is a true princess and considers Sleeping Beauty her close, personal best friend. princess: She is a Hannah Montana Mega Fan and loves anything geared towards "tween" girls which she still is a couple years away from! Try telling that to her though.

pirate: Ds: Jake is 4 and is a rogue pirate if there ever was one. pirate: He is a wild man with a good heart and a crazy sense of humor. Jake is in preschool and will be in kindergarten next year. He's very shy but is awnry once you get to know him. He puts up with all the girl stuff pretty well. We tried to balance all the pink, glitter and sparkles with some manly activities as best we could on this trip.

Ok there is my introduction. More to come!

OK, we've run into a shortage on the underlayment for the flooring we are installing so while Jeff runs to Home Depot I will continue.

The main reason for our DL trip was so that Morgan could finally dance with her studio at Disneyland. The first trip they had planned was Presidents Day, then spring break, then Labor Day, Columbus Day and finally Veterans Day was the last reschedule. To say these girls were anxious to get over there is an understatement. They've had signs up for about a year promising their chance to shine at Dl and now they finally got it.

Let's backtrack a second. Morgan's birthday was in August. I heard about 2 weeks before her birthday that Hannah Montana tickets were going on sale for her Nov. 9th Phoenix concert. PERFECT!!! She was having a Hannah Montana 7th birthday party complete with a stage and karaoke singing. Everything was geared toward being a pop star! This was the ultimate birthday gift for a 7 year old fan. :cool1:

Here is Morgan in the pink top with her arm up at her rock star Hannah Montana birthday party!

http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff39/yzada/hannah%20montana/WHOO.jpg

I bit the bullet and purchased the fan club membership and held my breath the morning of the presale to see if I had a chance at good seats. I totally thought (stupid of me now!) that we would be within the first few rows. I mean I had the fan club card in my posession and the fan club presale was several days before the general public got a chance at tickets so I felt my odds were great at getting what I wanted. Boy was I wrong! :lmao:

Ok 1 minute to the presale, I'm breaking out in cold sweats I'm so excited to see her face when I present her with......Row 4 section 227 TOP BACK CORNER OF JOBING.COM arena! OUCH! Ok that must be a mistake, let me try that again. Same tickets and not only that but I could only get 2 not the 4 that I wanted. It was clear my dream of having Morgan and 2 of her friends be up front like you see on Hannah's tv show were gone. No reaching up and giving a high 5 or being pulled up on stage to dance and sing like in the Bruce Springsteen video's! ;) Ok well who cares we'll bring binoculars, right? I only got 2 tickets so it was just Morgan and mama. That would have to be fine.

Here birthday comes around and as soon as she realized what I gave her she almost fainted. I swear the girl fell on the ground and had this dumbfounded look until she got ahold of herself and started screaming hysterically, jumping up and down like a monkey around my living room. I was so excited for her. Truth be told I couldnt wait either. I actually like that show and I do like the Jonas Brothers music. Ok things were good at this point we were headed to Disneyland over Columbus Day and Nov. 9 was a month afterwards so things were going smooth. WRONG!!!

3 weeks before we were to head with her dance studio to Disneyland they changed it yet again to Nov. 10. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I was so upset. Had to cancel hotel, PS's, rental car (my van is getting up there in miles!!) It was a pain. The night they changed it I bolted upright in bed scaring Jeff half out of his mind. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: OMG!!!!!! Morgan dances the day after the Hannah Concert. We were told we would have to check in at 10am in DL!!! :scared1: How were we going to do this. There was only one other girl who had Hannah tickets at the studio and I figured that wasn't enough pull to have it changed back to the Oct. dates. YIKES!!!

Ok well, we'll figure something out. Everyone had suggestions from selling the concert tickets to skipping dancing at Disneyland. Ok, while I could have gotten a lot of money for the tickets (I hate that by the way but I wont get into that right now!) I couldn't do that. This was Morgan's birthday present. We were both looking forward to going. I didnt think that was fair and the DL thing could not be canceled as she had been told she was going for so long I just didnt want to take that away from her. Ok, so Jeff and I decided we needed to go to the concert, drive home, get an hour or so of sleep, wake up and drive to DL in the middle of the night. :scared:

Alright, now back to just before the trip. Its gonna be a huge weekend. :yay:

If you are familiar with Phoenix we live in SE Gilbert. Jobing.com area is in Glendale or Peoria (???:confused3 :lmao: ) way over on the west side of town. We figured the most time effective way to do this trip was to drive over with the whole family and the boys would do something while we were in the concert and leave from there instead of losing 2 hours driving to the east valley and back again to head to CA. Make sense? yeah we kind of thought so. :confused3 :rotfl:

The week leading up to the trip I had been frantically searching for my camera. I have no clue where it went to. We seriously looked everywhere and I didnt want to go without it so I figured we could slice our DL budget by a few hundred dollars and head to Costco to buy a camera my friend recommended. She has the Panasonic from there and the camera and the memory cards came to about $350. Not exactly what I wanted to spend hours before heading to DL. Oh well, wasn't going to think about that til I got back. This is the first huge chunk of money we throw down unexpectedly, there would be more.......:guilty:

Ok so its Friday morning Nov. 9. We need to pack, get the rental car, print the Hannah Montana tickets, take my dog over to my moms house and well LEAVE!!! :yay:

I finished packing everyone while my son was in preschool. He got out at noon so we headed for Enterprise to pick our car up. We had reserved a full size car. Well, unfortunately they only had left a PT Cruiser which we thought would be fine. I had never ridden in one and I had heard they had tons of room in them. Again this is what I had heard!!! So it was fun and a little zippy driving it home to our house and I opened the hatch and almost fainted :scared1: :faint:. Ok, that was a bit dramatic but this car had no room for luggage. :rotfl2: Well, it had room for some luggage but not for OUR luggage. Why didnt I think of this at the car rental place??? :confused3 So I have to rethink our packing, check weather.com and see its going to be in the mid 70's while we were there. That is COLD to us so I know we needed long pants and long t-shirt and everyone who has been to CA knows it gets downright freezing at night so we had to throw in sweatshirts as well. I figured we could buy hat and gloves at night if we needed them this time. Yes, everyone from up north can collectively laugh now.

Ok I'm out of smiley room so I must continue in another post

Alright so we finally got everything we needed into the PT Cruiser. Jake kept calling it Herbie the Love Bug.:lmao: We head out the door to get Morgan from school and we are on the road. Unfortunately there is a ton of traffic on I-10 because of some Nascar Race I think so it took 2 hours to get to the arena.

If anyone from Phoenix has not been to the Jobing.com area and shopping area its beautiful. It was such a neat area to walk around in. I cannot wait til Margaritaville is open. I think that would be worth the drive over. So here we are 2 girls being dropped off for the concert of the century. Ok the concert of 2007! We turn the corner around the building and look into the plaza. OMG!!! All we see are pink and sparkles. yep a sea of pink sparkles everywhere.

Here is what we first saw.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000037.jpg

She freaked out at the huge MileyWorld bus parked out front. They had a large pink balloon and a purple tent. Ok we had to get a few pictures in front of that bus! So cute

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000035.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000036.jpg

We make our way around to the other side of the bus and learn that the mileyworld.com fan club members can be entered into a raffle if they get into a special line a mile and a half long. Sounds GREAT! So we get in this line and it takes us about an hour to get up to this sign.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000038.jpg

When we were in line a vendor came over selling glow sticks and programs. Of course we HAD to buy these so there was our first concert purchase of the night. Wouldn't be the last.

They give you tickets for various things we never won but it was worth a try!

In front of the bus they were going karaoke and announcements and making video's for Miley of each city they were on tour in. Also, there was a cardboard cutout you could take your picture in front of. Then later a woman came out and it was Miley's Grandma and I guess you could take your picture in front of that as well.

So we head over to the merchandise tent outside. This line was nuts. Everyone was beating the after concert rush I think. We waited another 35 minutes to get up to the front. I had origionally planned for Morgan to get a Hannah Montana t-shirt. Ok so then I get caught up in the moment and I said she could get a Jonas Brothers t-shirt as well. I start acting like a teenager because I was just so excited for her. So we are almost up and she could not decide on the shirt to get for Miley. Ok, well I suggest the one with the cities listed on the back of it but she wants the pink one of course. No cities listen on that one. To me a concert T-shirt has to have all the cities listed on it. Ok I'm old school! :rotfl: So, then the girl in front of us gets the Best of Both Worlds tote bag. Darn but that thing is cute. I'm racking my brain thinking why do we need another tote bag. Hmm no obvious reason why we need it but no obvous reason why we DONT need it either! :rotfl2: that's the way I think! So here is what I say when its our turn. "We'll have the pink Miley shirt, the White Miley shirt with the cities on the back, the pink Jonas Bros shirt and the tote bag please" Remember I was just going to get 1 t-shirt and possibly 1 Jonas Bros t-shirt that was not preplanned! Morgan looked at me with wide eyes and a little bit of doubt at what I had just done. I said "Dont worry about it sweetie this is your first concert". Now for the record, my first concert was to Michael Jackson. My dad had box seats and I clearly remember my mom dressing me up in a white sundress with a bright green frog on the front!:rotfl: I didnt get a t-shirt let alone 3 t-shirts, a tote bag a glow stick and a program. Does this look like a happy girl or what???

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000042.jpg

Alright we head inside and go up to the top of the world to our seats. Had a hard time finding section 227 as it was in the worst place in the building but it didnt matter we were there! Here she is waiting and our view before the concert.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000044.jpg

Like our nice dinner of hot dogs???:scared:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000045.jpg

Actually that picture was zoomed in quite a bit. I was experimenting with my new camera in most of these so if they aren't clear that is why. I kept changing the settings on it! I really have no clue how to use it!:thumbsup2

Alright lights go out, music starts and holy moley was that place loud. Thousands of screaming little girls! Morgan was freaking out when the Jonas Brothers came down from the ceiling!

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000046.jpg

I could get pretty close with my new camera!:thumbsup2

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000048.jpg

Ok a little dark but here she is with her glow stick during the Jonas Brothers!

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000049.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000050.jpg

They were great and kept the crowd entertained. I was impressed at how good of a show they put on. So the Jonas Brothers play for about a half an hour (I think?) and then there is a little break. One good thing that I loved about this is that it started on time. Most adult concerts I have gone to start like an hour later than they are supposed to. I guess when the crowd has to be in bed by a certain time you better or else you will be singing to a bunch of little snoozing girls!:lmao:

Ok so here it is, the lights go down and the music starts playing "Rockstar" which is actually my favorite Hannah song. This was so cute the way she came out. She was in the huge light up box that descended down from the top of the stage. She looked like a go go dancer with her shadow in that box but it was tastefully done and very cute.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000056.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000057.jpg

Morgan was about to :faint: That girl was so excited I thought she was gonna pee her pants. It was great. Sorry, but selling my tickets for $1500 would not have been worth this moment. Priceless. It was like the commercials.

So here is her first outfit

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000061.jpg

Ok here was me trying to get a picture of Morgan with the stage in the background but she doesnt show up. You can see how far away we were. She could see everything with the binoculars though

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000065.jpg

Everything was very cute with bright colors. You know I have to give her credit because she sounded really good. Sometimes concerts disappoint me because they dont sound anything like they do on the cd but Miley sounded very nice. Also, everything was very age appropriate, bright colors, decent dances. She seems like a great girl with her head on straight I just hope she stays that way.

The Jonas brothers came out with her and sang We got the Party and then while she switched to Miley Cyrus they sang Year 3000. That is such a fun song. The whole place was on their feet singing. Even the moms and some dads too! Morgan was happy because she thought they "forgot" to sing it when they were out. Here are some of her costume changes and the Jonas Bros again.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000072.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000075.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000098.jpg

Ok this was really cute, this was how they brought out Miley Cyrus.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000104.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000106.jpg

picture of the jumbo tron.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000118.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000132.jpg

This was the only time Morgan made a comment about how far back we were because we could not get confetti. I said seriously that bothers you and she said yes she wanted some of Miley's confetti. :confused3 :rotfl:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000140.jpg

This is where she sang Best of Both Worlds. She said I'm gonna bring a friend out to sing wtih me and Hannah was on the jumbotron doing the same dance steps as Miley. This really confused Morgan as she understands its the same person but she said it was a Hannah song and Miley should not have been singing it. I said well they are singing it together, get it best of both worlds. That didnt register too well but she finally gave up trying to comprehend and enjoyed the song.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000146.jpg

I thought this was silly.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000150.jpg

She left after that and I had to explain to Morgan what an encore was because she said "hurry mom lets beat the traffic" and started to get up! :lmao: She screamed and clapped as loud as she could for about 5 minutes before Miley came back and sang "I miss you"

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000162.jpg

jumbo tron again but I like this picture

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000165.jpg

And Morgan had me take a picture of the horse that was on the screen behind her.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000167.jpg

It was a great concert and Morgan said she never wanted it to end it was the best night of her "WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE" :rotfl2: :goodvibes

The concert let out at 9:30pm. I would totaly buy tickets again for this but I would try to bring my son along as well. There were some preteen boys in front of us and they really had a good time. I think they were there for the Jonas Brothers mostly but they were standing up and dancing just the same. Jake would have liked it too.

So we head out and stop once again at the merchandise booth (do you see a trend here???) to get Jake something. Even though it was a girls night he does like the Jonas Brothers and Hannah so we decide to get him a Jonas brother poster. After a quick change into her Jonas brother shirt and one last picture by the bus we are on our way to meet the boys.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000169.jpg

Turns out they balanced all the pink outside the arena with a trip to Cabellas and spent a few hours in their shooting arcade and looking at manly stuff! :rotfl:

Ok a quick bite on Dysart road and we are off to Disneyland at 10pm! :yay:

Ok I totally forgot to mention before we left for the concert and DL dh smelled something terrible in the garage refrigerator. Well unfortunately it went out. We had a ton of meat in there that started dripping blood down the front of the unit and onto the floor. Well, we HAD to take care of that so we haul what we can into our kitchen freezer and have to take the rest over to moms house. Some of it was too warm to be saved. :headache: So now we need a new refrigerator on top of the camera oh yeah and other purchases......:lmao:

I LOVE that Morgan was confused by Miley and Hanna singing a song together! When that happens it's like a little reminder that, even though they seem so much older sometimes, they really are only 7yo! What a blast she had, and you really loved making it happen and sharing it with her!

So it's after 10pm and Jeff has decided he is going to drive. Usually when we go to DL we leave about 3-4am and get there when the park opens. I love doing this as the kids sleep in the car and wake up about a half an hour from Dl everytime. I'm a morning person and I cannot sleep in the car so I've always driven while Jeff and the kids sleep. Well, Jeff is a night person so he figures he would be the better choice to drive.

Jeff works crazy hours right now since he opened a new restaurant. He's always tired so I was a little worried about this plan but having me drive was riskier. I tend to fall asleep at night when I am wide awake and will do things as if I am awake but will not remember them the next morning. Didnt think driving like that was too safe. :scared1:

So Morgan and I are like this :hyper2: :chat: :hyper: in the car talking about the concert. You know when you get out of a concert your ears feel like they have cotton in them and you cannot hear anything. Well, that was us and apparently we were practically yelling to Jeff and Jake the details of the concert! Like they really cared. Anyway, they plug the movies in and I TRY to sleep. I cannot do this very well. I checked the clock and Jeff at 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30. Am I the only one who wakes up at the same time every hour??? Well, I have to admit I didnt really go to sleep but I was resting and everytime it was exactly 30 past the hour when I looked at the clock and interrupted Jeff listening to the Ipod to see if he was ok. Very Strange. The trip over was restless. The kids are used to sleeping with reclining van seats and so they were uncomfortable. I squished a pillow up and tried to get comfortable. This never happened. The PT cruiser quickly became my enemy. It was not the best car to stretch out in.

Ok, the dance studio had booked rooms at the Raffles Inn but I wanted something within walking distance so we got the bunk bed rooms at the Park Vue. Can't beat the location and the price was right. We've stayed there several times and have not had any issues. I couldn't get the entertainment rates at the HOJO's and everything else was sold out on Veterans day anyway. Remember we had to book just a month ahead of time on a busy holiday weekend because of the change. In Oct we were going to stay at the GCH because we got great rates. I was really looking forward to that but we didnt want to swing it with the rates available in Nov.

So we unload the Cruiser. From now on I'll call the cruiser Fred. I dont know why I chose Fred but he just looked like a Fred. Yes I'm talking about the car. :rotfl2: We throw Morgan on the top bunk and Jake on the bottom. Jeff and I crash in the Queen bed. I forgot my pillow, the one I used in the car was Jeff's and he was not about to share. So I was stuck with the hard hotel pillows. I didn't sleep very well and woke up about 6am to get ready to head to the park. I knew Jake would not sleep in no matter how little sleep he got so I had planned on he and I going to the park at opening and let the cranky side of the family (Jeff and Morgan) sleep in. Our time to meet was changed to 2:15pm so they could rest up. I ddint want her to be sleepy when she was dancing. Now normally we would never think of sleeping past park opening but in this case I thought it was best. Jake and I planned to take full advantage of the morning though. :yay:

After jelly toast, half a banana and some milk Jake and I are on our way. Oh yeah my sunglasses are in Fred. Shoot we have to go back or else I will be squinting all day long. I've always thought its a good thing big movie star sunglasses are in style right now because I have very light sensitive eyes.:cool2: I can protect them and look cool at the same time. :lmao: :thumbsup2 So I sneak back into the hotel room to get Fred's keys and unlock him. I grab the sunglasses shut the car door and hit the lock button on the keys :scared1: BEEEEEEEPPPP!!!! WOW Fred has some lungs! That was LOUD! I had left the door open to the hotel and we were parked 3 feet from it! Luckily they didnt wake up. Jake grabbed the keys and made Fred honk again because he thought it was funny. So now we have a honking Fred and a laughing Jake. We've got to leave before they wake up.

Ok crossing the street we are on our way!!!!:cool1:

I tend to fall asleep at night when I am wide awake and will do things as if I am awake but will not remember them the next morning. Didnt think driving like that was too safe. :scared1:

OMG I sooo do this too! This is why my sick dh is really nervous if I have to drive at night on Tuesday.

I also do the whole waking up at the same time like 7 times in a row! It drives me crazy, and Dh too. haha He always asks why I just dont sleep. There is no need for us both to be sleep. Hey, I can't help it.

In the past we have had AP's. I love having AP's. Again let me say I LOVE having AP's. We are planning a 2 week vacation to WDW next year so we decided to skip the AP's for a year, which is turning out to be 2 since we could not go as soon as we planned:sad2:. Usually my Disney math includes AP's and discounts at hotels and restaurants because of them. Not now. We have no will power and would throw last minute trips in on a whim. I'm very spontaneous and Jeff just goes with the flow as a good husband should. ;) . I realized the only way to restrain and actually save for WDW was to give this luxury up. Since I decided to do this I have gone on just as many trips though. Oh well!

We purchased the Magic Music Days tickets through the dance studio at reduced rates. They were actually pretty good so we didnt mind. I think a 2 day park hopper pass was $86 each. Not bad. Jake kept wanting to know where the ticket with his picture was though. I miss them too buddy. Someday again!

He's so excited to get some alone time with mama. He is a mommy's boy and this was the best thing he could think of. I told him he could dictate what we did as long as we could pick up fast passes along the way.

I don't have a ton of pictures from Disneyland itself because we have been there so much I just dont think to take them.

Jake at this point is jumping up and down when we get to the turnstiles. :yay: He told the CM taking our tickets that its HIS morning til his sissy wakes up and comes over! :rotfl2: The CM asked what he was going to do first and he said "Topia" then he turned to another CM and asked to give him the honorary citizen badge. Sweet!:thumbsup2 This is HUGE for him to say anything because he's so shy. (Dizzy, I know you dont believe that!:lmao: )

As we walk under the bridge we see the signs posting that they are taping and that Josh Grobin would be there. UGH!!! Not to Josh Grobin but when I was a CM at WDW I HATED taping days. Everything is all jammed up like crazy and you cannot get anywhere. We head straight for the lockers. I've got Morgan's dance bag with me and our sweatshirts so I get a large locker. We see some of the girls from the studio and one asks us if we left Morgan in Phoenix. Yes we did was my answer! I think she sort of believed me!

Quick story about the lockers. This time we didnt have a problem but you know how they have a warning not to overstuff them. Yeah well, um one time my brother and I decided to test that warning and in a large locker we stuffed 8 sweatshirts and 2 blankets along with hats and gloves!!!! He threw his body weight into it to get it to close but we could not get it to open. We had to go to City Hall and have someone come over to unlock it for us. The nice CM kept apologizing saying they were having trouble with them all day. She could not help but laugh when she figured out it wasnt DL's fault the locker wouldn't open it was OURS. She said she had never seen anyone stuff that many items in a locker and we should have gotten 3!!! She was really nice about it and I'm sure had a good laugh when she went back.

So we walk up Mainstreet avoiding all the camera and stage setups with the little fences around them and see a huge line around the hub. I'm not exactly sure who it was for Josh Grobin or later I learned I found out that the High School Musical cast was there. :cheer2: I figured it was Josh at this point so we veered to the right avoiding the lines and headed towards autopia.

20 minute line to Autopia 1st thing in the morning. This line always fills up but at least its not the Nemo line. :scared: They wanted to do that but since we were there earlier in Oct (see what I mean about the trips and the lack of AP's-----no control!!!) and we waited an hour and a half 1st thing for Nemo we made the decision to skip this one. Ok Autopia, my son loves this. So here is Jake standing in line waiting.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000170.jpg

I cannot wait til he is old enough to reach the pedals and really drive. Does anyone ever make bets on what color car you are going to end up with. We do this all day at the park. Helps with the line time. We really don't bet I guess since there is no prize if you win but we do get the pride of knowing you picked the right one. Well, I suck at this game. I picked the purple and blue changing color one. I always pick this car, its sweet. Why can't I EVER get this car???? Jake picked the orange. We got orange! I thought the orange looked like it needed to be in the body shop for a good week but he said it looked like it was a fast car. Quick picture before I jump in to take over driving!

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000171.jpg

We're off. He leans over and asks if I could take my hands off the wheel so he could steer. Absolutely. Gives me more time to take pictures anyway! He's never wanted to do this and this time he had a blast steering the car and trying not to crash! This picture cracks me up because he has a nervous/excited/I dont know what the heck I'm doing smile on! :lmao:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000174.jpg

Here are some pictures I'm testing my camera out on during the very bumpy ride. :rotfl:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000172.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000173.jpg

Alright after Autopia we head to Space Mountain so we can get some fastpasses. I ask if he wants to go on it now and he shakes his head no. He loved this last month but was a little nervous about it this time. I figured it was early in the morning. So we can only get 2 fastpasses due to our 2 sleepy heads with the other tickets but I decide we'll come back and get 2 more since the return time was 10am. Not too bad yet.

Jake's favorite ride has always been Buzz but this time he did not want to go on it either so he chose Astro Orbitor. The line was about 10 minutes for this. Here is a pic before I awkwardly get in here. Does anyone else feel like they are going to fall on their faces entering and exiting this rocketship??? I am SO clumsy I just know I'm going to fall out head first one time.
:rotfl2:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000176.jpg

His expression looks like he's afraid I'm not getting in and he's not sure if he likes that or he doesnt!

Seriously this ride should be listed under Big Thrills. Even though its on the ground now I still feel like I'm going to fall out. Jake was going up and down repeatedly. Down is the horrifying! My side still hurts from being in the down position from this thing!!! I'm always squished against the side. I love it though. Lots of fun.

Next he decided he wants to hit the Mark Twain Riverboat. Well, he really wanted the Columbia but it wasn't sailing yet. I was like ummm honey, Mark Twain IS a lot of fun but there are No lines and No waiting at many of the more popular rides don't you want to do that? NO WAY was his answer. So here we went on this. There were a total of 17 people on this boat so it was like we had it to ourselves.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000177.jpg

I thought this was cool with the splash landing in the picture

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000178.jpg

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000179.jpg

And he loves trains so we had to take this one.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000180.jpg

After the Riverboat we head over to Pirates. He LOVES pirates and so does Jeff and I felt a little guilty about not waiting til they came over and go with them but I seriously knew we would be on this ride multiple times over the 2 days. Jake is so cute on this because during the first drop he grabs my arms tight and snuggles close to me. Then when it immeidately gets lighter he pushes me away like he doesnt know who I am and holds his arms up and screams down the second drop. He always grabs the fog where Davy Jones is and throws it at the scene where the guy is drowning.:confused3 :rotfl: Of course there is nothing in his hands at this point but he insists this must be done each time and I have to do it with him. Oh another cute thing is my kids always hold their arms up at the end of the ride while going up and let out a quiet little scream when you go over the little bump of a hill at the top! :rotfl2: That cracks me up and usually does everyone in the boat. First timers get ready for something thrilling when they see them prepping their arms for this and this ride with Jake was no exception. The guy behind us held his arms up too and then commented on how that last drop was the most exciting of the ride when he saw what it was! :rotfl:

Ok end of image limit so I am going to head to bed for tonight. More tomorrow!

Ok everyone, my floors in my house are finally done!!!:yay:

I'm sitting here with hot chocolate because its 80 degrees out and I'm freezing! A girl's gotta be realistic!;) :lmao:

On with the TR.

So we exit Pirates and I ask Jake what he wants to do next. The train. Of course, why couldn't he pick something like BTMRR (my favorite!) or ANYTHING that had a line later in the day. I try to convince him but he reminded me that it was HIS morning. Ok, ok they train it is. We choose to leave the stroller in New Orleans square as this will be a round trip voyage. I lke the train when its busy in the park you get to rest. I kept thinking of all the short lines though. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: He gets a little nervous during the Grand Canyon and the Dinosaur part. I love the music when you are passing the grand Canyon. Its catchy. We make it through off at New Orleans square and I ask what he wants to do again.

I say "Jake what next, HM?" leading question I know but I'm not a lawyer I'm a mom so I'm allowed!!!:lmao:

He says "Is it the one with presents?" (meaning Nightmare Before Christmas)

"Yes, its with presents" I respond

Jake looks thoughtful and shakes his head "if it was the one without the presents I wouldn't go because it is a little scary for you but I'll go with the presents in it"

I say "Scary for me?"

He says "Yes, I dont want you to get nightmares and cry"

"Alright tough guy lets head out, thanks for thinking of me.":lmao: I forgot last couple times we have been to DL have been without daddy and he did get a little nervous on HM.

The line was huge. Always is this time of year. We could get more fastpasses at this point and I had planned on getting them for Space so we could have 4 altogether and ride later in the day but I decided Jeff and Morgan were on their own. We grab fastpasses but he chooses to stick the line out anyway. It took about a half hour so not TOO bad yet. I love the holiday makeover of this ride. I keep singing the song "Kidnap the Sandy Claws la la la la la" Oh great now I have that in my head now!!!

Isnt Sally at the end great? I wish I would have taken a picture of her. Next year!

My phone plays Edna's "Message for you Darling" when I have a message and it just went off so I check and sure enough Jeff and Morgan are in the park now looking for us.:cool1: Finally those sleepy heads woke up. It was about 11:30am.

I guess they watched part of the high school musical Christmas taping. Fun!

Jeff of course wants to go on Pirates. Well since it had been about an hour since Jake and I were on it I figured he was due to ride it again. Same thing but with both kids this time. Hold close to mommy down the drop (Morgan is a little more brave so she just touches my knee) hands up on the second drop, grab the fog from Davy Jones, throw it at the drowing man and hands up again on the way back up and over the little hump with a tiny scream. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :lmao: When we get off we decide to do the Tarzan's Treehouse. I wish I had a tree tall enough to build something like this in my yard. Its pretty cool and my kids LOVE it. They could spend an hour playing with the makeshift instruments in the "camp" afterwards.

I zoomed in and took this picture of Morgan up in the treehouse.

Here is the waterfall. I was toying with the camera to not make it blurry

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000182.jpg

Jake decides he wants to go on Splash. Morgan DOES NOT! I put that in caps because she is screaming she doesn't want to get wet. We decide to split up but this time girls vs boys. Jake and Jeff to Splash. Morgan and I to Indy!

I have not been on Indy in a couple years. Morgan has been afraid of it in the past because she thought the ball part was real. she learned this from commercials and the posters of it. Jeff took her in October and she said she sort of liked it but was a little scared. Now she wants to go on it again. This was her choice. The line was 40 minutes long and we decide to stick it out. She almost chickened out when we were boarding but buckled the seatbelt instead. I like this ride. I had forgotten how bumpy it was but it was fun. I look at Morgan and she has her eyes shut tightly with her head bobbing all over the place. "Morgan, open your eyes its so cool" She says "I will when the ball comes but nothing else" :confused3 Strange. I kept telling her to take a peek but she refused. then she said her neck was hurting. Then I tried to tell her that if she kept them open she could anticipate the way the jeep was going to go and save her neck but it didnt work. She opened her eyes slightly on the ball and screamed and put her hands on her face. She was almost crying by the time we were walking out in line saying she was NEVER going on that again. Her neck still hurt her pretty bad so I rubbed it a few minutes outside the queue. I starred over at the Riverbelle wishing it was open. I missed my Mickey pancake this morning. Its our favorite place to eat breakfast. Shoot.

The boys were waiting for us by the Rivers of America and they were not too happy either. Jake was freaking out. See he has been VERY lucky because everytime he goes on splash he just gets a little wet. This time they got SOAKED! There was still water dripping off of their jeans! It wasn't all that warm for us desert rats either. Jake was curled up in the stroller. This would happen the 1 day I dont bring an extra change of clothes for him. I seriously considered going back to the hotel he was miserable. Then I considered buying something for him to wear but Jeff talked me out of that brilliant idea. We always buy clothes out of necessity and this trip we were trying hard not to. He doesnt want to go back to the hotel (neither do I, waste the park time!!!) we decide to hang out by the Rivers of America and dry off. The sun was out and although it wasn't warm I was hoping we could get some good dry time in.

About 20 minutes later we decide we better go grab some lunch before Morgan needs to get ready to go backstage. The boys still were not completely dry but it was getting better. They wanted pizza so we head over to Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. There is a HUGE line just to get in the door so we patiently wait. It was about 15 feet from the ball. :scared1: I was shocked. Oh yeah I guess it WAS lunch time. I'm used to eating in the off hours to avoid this!!! I love their oriental chicken salad! Its so good. I think they just call it the salad of the day or special salad but its been the same salad for years there. Its really good for lunch as it fills you with healthy food but you don't feel stuffed all day long. Jeff has the chicken caesar salad and the kids each have pizza. Morgan eats like a teenage boy so she gets a big slice but jake gets the kids pizza. Cute Mickey plates.

After this we split up again. I need to get Morgan ready for dance and the boys need some manly time together. They are headed for Pirates Liarpirate: I secretly wonder if they will come back for Morgan's performance later in the day. Morgan and I head back to the locker to get her stuff. We find a quiet spot where those old little boats used to be across from the Matterhorn to do her hair and makeup for the performance. We took our time and she chased a few ducks that thought we were eating. She saw some of her dance friends pass by and screamed at them then looked at me and said "I can't believe so and so is HERE the same time we are" :rotfl: "Ummmm ok Morgan, did you forget your studio is dancing here???" She looks thoughtful. "Oh yeah" Like I'm putting makeup on her to see the princesses or something. :lmao:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000183.jpg

I have to drop her off at 2:15 under the Toon Town bridge. All the girls are excited and a little nervous. After a hug, kiss and a wish for good luck she is on her way.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000184.jpg

Ok, I have an hour and fifteen minutes before her show. At this point I COULD meet up with the boys ORRRRR I could skip it and go shopping. :cool1: Which do you think I did???? Well, the shopping Gods were not on my side because I wanted to go down Main Street to Clothiers but it was blocked off.

Here was the stage in front of the castle. I think they might have taken part of it down by the time I took the picture. See Melody, SNOW. :rotfl2:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000185.jpg

I went to Adventureland and checked out some of the Indiana Jones stuff there. Not finding anything there I wanted I wander over to New Orleans square and play with my camera a little.

I head over to BTMRR on my way to the Carnation stage and try to take a picture of the train moving with the different settings. Cool, its not blurry like my other attempts have been.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000188.jpg

Meeting up with the other parents, we patiently wait for the girls to come out. Jeff and Jake come just in time. I'm still palying with my camera trying to find the right setting to take pictures.

This Cat in the Hat dance is cute. It was easy for the new girls to pick up before Disneyland so they went with it. Here are some pictures.

It was a lot of fun watching her dance. We headed back to Toon Town to pick her up afterwards. The lights had just flicked on for IASW and we were excited to get on the Holiday version again. I actually love this ride especially at the holidays. It gets me in the mood to decorate my house!!!

When I was playing with the camera I leaned over to dh and whispered "It seems that high sensitivity works everytime" meaning the camera of course. Well, he responds "What are you talking about me or the camera?" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I said "BOTH"! ;) :rotfl:

I love that ride at Christmas. So festive! Ok then we decide to split up again because Morgan needs to eat again before she goes backstage for the dance workshop. We head to the Club Buzz area. Is it still called that??? I have no clue. :confused3

She orders the PB&J uncrustable and I order a turkey sandwich without the mayo and that takes a half an hour to make :scared1: . Mental note not to do that again. It wasn't that great anyway. Because the sandwich took so long we rush back to the Toontown bridge to meet up with the group. OMG! I realize I left her dance bag back in the Club Buzz eating area. We have 8 minutes. I leave Morgan with one of her friends parents and take off.

Disclaimer: I'm really sorry if I jumped over your stroller or knocked you down during my mad dash to get the backpack and get back to Toontown. It wasn't personal I HAD to get that bag or she couldn't go back and dance.

ok ok I didnt jump strollers or knock anyone over but I was aggressively maneuvering through the park to get that bag. It had her shoes inside and they said she couldnt dance without them. OMG I'm totally out of shape. Geez I need to get back to the gym because this run wore me out. I was sweating and panting so hard when I got back I thought I was going to pass out but I MADE IT!!!

After she left I had 2 hours to meet up with the boys. I made a quick swing by the castle and shot this terrible but somewhat cool picture. Obviously high sensitivity didnt work this time. :rolleyes1

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000237.jpg

A little better, I'm trying to get the partners statue but I cannot find the right setting to light it up.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000238.jpg

I meet up with the boys and we ride Buzz. Now I know this sounds like a fish story but I really did well and FORGOT to email my picture. Yeah Yeah I know. Jeff always does well on this. I score somewhere in the mid 100,000's and have occasionally hit 200,000 but this time I sat in the buggy alone while the boys sat in the other and I hit 347,000. Jeff got about 120,000 I cant remember exactly I just know it stunk! Jake got 6000 not bad for a 4 year old! I turned my buggy around so he could witness this glorious occasion. We did Star Tours and guess what....Pirates again. Hug mommy, arms up, grab the fog, throw it at the drowning guy, arms up and little scream over the tiny hump.

finally, yes finally I got to go on BTMRR!!! I rode by myself which I hadnt done in years and that was a lot of fun because I wasnt trying to squish one of the kids. This is my favoirte ride and in the dark its awesome. What happened to the goat though? It was there last month....I think. We were in the back and I had a blast.

Well, it was time to get Morgan. They taught her a cute Mary Poppins dance. She was a chimney sweep. She really wanted to be one of the maids because they wore nice dresses she said.

We head to fantasyland and ride Peter Pan (half an hour line, not too bad), Dumbo, Casey Jr and Mr. Toads. We did the teacups and boy did Jeff spin us fast. As I am getting older I realize I cannot take spinning too much. Its fine to spin it a little but I was getting really queasy. Ugh. I begged him to stop but he of course spun it faster and the kids laughed at me. The kids were really upset Alice was down. They like Alice and Jake calls it the funny ride. :confused3

Next we hit the Matterhorn. This too is another good one in the dark. Morgan does not like the Snow Beast in it but I taught her to roar right back at it and that helped a little. Nemo looks awesome from the Matterhorn especially at night. I'm really glad there is something in the lagoon again! :thumbsup2

After Matterhorn we go do our fastpasses on Space Mountain. Somewhere in the day they had gotten theirs but I cant remember where. Jake does not want to go on this again. He loved it last month and sat in the front and thought it was cool. Maybe he's developing a little fear. Well, we were bad parents and made him go on it anyway. :rolleyes1 I'm not going to say he loved it but he did LIKE it. Enough for me! I love that thing. Sitting in the front feels like taking a chance with your life. I expect to get my head lobbed off at any moment!:scared: Good Times!

Next they want to do....Guess What.........The park is about to close and what do you think they want to do......pirate: Again!!! Ok so hold mommy, arms up, grab fog, throw fog, arms up and little scream. I should videotape this display! We've got just enough time to ride BTMRR once more!!! Again very cool at dark and a great way to end day 1!

We head out the gates avoiding the shops on Main Street. I'll be back I vow. As we approach the hotel we hear Fred. Great, the panic button had been hit in my purse when we were in range. Will this car ever shut up........haha UGH. I pray Fred doesnt get lonely outside and honk for us to come check on him or something while i collapse on the bed again with the hard pillow......

Never in my life have I ever wanted to go to Disneyland at Christmas. (It's utter madness! The crowds! People get rude and cranky in crowds!) Until now, dang it.

Those photos are sooooo cool! Disneyland is beautiful at Christmas. Wow! But crowded, right? Give me something! :faint:

I'm glad the dance stuff went well. And that you didn't knock over any strollers or old ladies in the bag-fetching incident. Whew!

And that darn Fred... :sad2:

So... Then what happened?

Ok now I have my bearings. Day 2 to follow.

AZMickeyfans
12-07-2007, 04:10 PM
Alright, Day 2

So we wake up around 7am and head for breakfast. Unfortunately since the Riverbelle was closed we decide to grab bananas and toast from the continental breakfast. Well, it will have to do.

Normally we would be in line at 7:15am if the park opened at 8am but we decided to approach this trip differently and didnt cross the street until 8:30am. :scared1: Yes, we slept in missing that prescious half an hour when the park is quiet. We'll have to deal with it. We did everything backwards. No getting to the big rides in the morning, no rushing here and there. I have to say it was kind of nice though. Probably never will do it again but it was nice!

So we enter the gates and my horse obsessed kids want to ride on Big Red's Carriage. Ummm ok. Usually first thing in the morning we would be pulling them to Nemo but what the hey right? So dh pushes the stroller down Main Street while we ride on Big Red. Man, that is one pampered horse. His hair is softer than mine!!! Here is a picture. Jake wouldnt take one because he was a little intimidated by him.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000243.jpg

Beautiful Horse.

Ok, so we decide we want to do something big before heading over to DCA. We chose Big Thunder. I could ride this all day. After Big Thunder we hit Pirates AGAIN (hold mommy, arms up, grab fog, throw fog, arms up and little scream over the tiny hump:sad2: )Now DCA is open and we head over there.

Jake announces that he is big enough to ride on ToT. We have not taken Morgan on this because she is a afraid of everything but Jake is a brave boy. So he and daddy head over to ToT. What do Morgan and I do??? SHOP of course. We were in Animators Palette. I think that is what its called. They have really cute figurines by Jim Shore in there. I wanted to buy them all! I was eyeing a new snowglobe too that I put away in my memory for later.....

So Jeff calls and says they are off. Jake wasn't too sure if he liked it or not but he chose not to go again with me so I figure he was a scared but tried to be brave. We headed to Monsters Inc. This movie used to scare the kids to death. Everyone else thought it was funny but it produced nightmares in my children. They still dont really like to watch the movie but they will go on the ride. Roz must have been having an off day because she asked Morgan if the boy sitting next to her was her brother and then she said the same thing to the car behind us. :confused3

Here are a few pictures we took in the car before.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000244.jpg

After Monsters Inc we decided to go to Muppets. The kids have not done this in a long time and Morgan thought the cannon was real last time so we have skipped it a few years in a row. We got there in time for the preshow which in my opinion is really the best part of the whole show. I love reading the scrolling sign. :rotfl: This is better at WDW (do they still have it there???) because the exit is like the end of the movie. In DL you dont see that.

There was a group of dancers performing on the stage next to the theater so we watched them for awhile. They were good but mostly hip hop and Morgan doesnt like hip hop so we moved on.

I forgot to mention we grabbed FP's for Soarin' so we head over to do this next. My family loves Soarin'. I have to say its in my take it or leave it catagory. I dont know why. Its really pretty but it just doesnt WOW me like it does everyone else. :confused3 I know.....flame me if you must!!! I'm a strange cookie.

The kids were begging to go to the Redwood Creek Challenge playground. This thing is AWESOME. I love all the rope bridges. I'm all over it whenever we go. Jake was tall enough to do the zip slide but he wouldn't go. I was testing out my camera on Morgan on it though. Not fast enough to get great pictures but I have some.

Next we decide to head over to Paradise Pier area. We get FP's to Mulholland Madness!:scared1: and head to Jumpin Jellyfish. My kids like this ride and I find if you look over between your legs its a little scary!

Next, Morgan wants to ride the Orange Stinger. Ok when I first went on this a few years ago I wasn't expecting much. I thought it was your typical swinging ride you get at a local fair. Well at least to our family it is so much more. Does anyone else feel like they are going to fly right out of there and its a gamble as to weather you make it out of the orange peel or not? I seriously think this everytime I ride. Like Oh man what if I shoot out and don't make it into the water. :lmao: Ok maybe I'm a little twisted but the up and down motion this ride has while spinning is really intense. My stomach was in my throat the whole time! Here are some pictures of Jeff and Morgan. Again I was messing with the camera trying to get an action shot but they were coming too fast so I kept getting random people.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000251.jpg

I dont know whose feet these are :lmao: but you can see the strike zone if your swing were to disengage! :rotfl2:

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000253.jpg

Ok now its Mulholland Madness time. The kids sit in front. We hold on in the back. I like this ride A LOT but like everyone else I feel like I'm gonna fly off. Its a little unnerving as a parent to have your kids up front but hey, thats where they wanted to be!!!! :lmao: I feel safer in the back! :lmao:

Now we check our watches and we have to head to a PS at the Blue Bayou. The kids and I have been there but Jeff never has. He kept reminding us of how we have come without him in the past and he has missed out. I THINK he wanted us to feel sorry for him. It wasnt working!:rolleyes1

So we head back across the plaza into DL and I had to grab a cotton candy. Am I good example or what? Cotton Candy before dinner. Yummy! I realized we had a little extra time so we went to see the Jedi Training Academy. We had never seen this before. I had always just passed by thinking Jake would be scared of Darth Vader. Oh man was this entertaining. He said next time we are there he REALLY wants to do this. So cute. There was this one little girl who looked very serious when she approached Darth Vader. I mean she was going to slay him down no matter what. The Jedi guy(forgot his name) with the microphone was trying to get her to respond to something Darth said to her but she just looked very stern at him with a tight grip on the light saber. The jedi said "Stand back, she means BUSINESS" It was of course funnier when it happened. That girl was about 4 years old and very tiny. She was so cute.

time for dinner We were told we were a little early to check in for our PS's so we headed to the Court of Angels to take some pictures. The kids wouldnt have it. Well, Morgan would but she said she was tired so she just plunked down on the step.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000278.jpg

We wander through the crystal shop and the Nightmare Before Christmas shop to see whats new since we were there last. Well, we killed enough time to back to the Blue Bayou. Ok I've eaten here 3 times in recent years and have gotten a water table each time. We've never asked for one. I notice they tell people who request water tables that it will be an additional 45 minute wait. I told Jeff to not ask for one and we will probably get one. Sure enough we were on the water. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. I'm a really picky eater so I'm not all about the food though. We order Crab Cakes for appetizer. Wow only 2 small ones came out. I was thinking we might get at least 4 but oh well. Dh loves these so he eats them both. We both ordered the MOnte Cristo and the kids ordered Mac and Cheese and the Monte Cristo PB&J. I always thought riding in the Pirate boats that the restaurant must be really quiet but when; you are sitting in there its pretty noisy. It just doesnt carry to the ride. Everynow and then you can hear someone heckling you from the boat. That is always amusing. Jeff didnt know what to think of the Monte Cristo but really loved the crab cakes. I enjoyed mine and the kids liked theirs. The fried PB&J was kind of strange looking though! Well, we had to get the Flying Dutchman so we ordered 2 to share. I would consider going just for this next time! AMAZING DESERT!

So here I am loaded with the flying dutchman and cotton candy and I'm ready to go!!! What do you think Jeff and Jake pick to ride next? pirate: You know the drill by now. Same routine as always. :lmao:

After this we go back to ride Pooh. I keep looking for the moose heads behind the doors that are supposedly there but I have not seen them yet. Anyone else? We ride Haunted Mansion one more time. Even typing this out I have that song stuck in my head. la la la la la lalalallalalalalalALALALA

:rotfl2:

Ok, Matterhorn is up next on the to do list. Did that and headed to teacups. I decide I've had it with spinning so I pass. Jake passes as well to be with mama. When they were in the little holding area Jake decides he wants to go. Um Ok. what to do. I could have Jeff come over to the fence and hand him over when its their turn to go but I was afraid we would get in trouble. That would have been more sensible than what I actually did. I was standing in that little cutout area in the corner and I could have handed them directly over the fence with no bush interference but like I said I was afraid to get caught. So I go around to the line and there is that hedge that looks like a castle wall. Its about a foot and a half across and the line is lower than where I am. hmm what to do? Well Jeff is calling for me to toss him over the hedge! :scared1: Not going to do THAT exactly but I he leaned out with his hands out like a dive and I passed him to Jeff. He grabbed his arms and I had his legs. He slithered out of my reach safely into Jeffs arms. Another mom was standing on my side of the fence about 5 feet away busting out laughing. She said it looked like the hedge had swallowed him and it was the funniest thing she had seen all day. I guess it did look kind of funny.

I was eager to experiment with the camera again anyway.

http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r149/Jsstrube/P1000285.jpg

I never really got great pictures of them spinning with the lighting just right. These were the best.

After the Teacups we decide to head back to IASW again. Its so pretty we dont mind.

Usually I stake out Fantasmic! seats but we decided to skip it this trip because of time. We have always had 4 days or so in the past. We did watch the fireworks though. They were really pretty. Then we grabbed some popcorn and headed for the tiki room. Jake passed out in here and Morgan was dragging so we did another no no on our usual vacations and we left before closing. It was freezing and with everyone tired we just decided it was best. We said goodbye to Main Street as I carried Morgan back to the hotel piggy back style.

That night I didnt mind the hard pillows I was so tired. Fred didnt make a peep all night. Maybe he was learning to be quiet! :rotfl:

Ok the next day we wake up around 9am. We are not going to the park today:sad1: so we take our time packing Fred and getting ready. We have shopping to do! Jeff is a trooper as he will always say yes to any Disney purchases. If its Disney money it doesn't count right? So we head to Jamba Juice for Breakfast. I am ready to face the day with my matcha shot and Berry Fulfilling with an energy boost behind me. Let the shopping begin.

The kids had picked out some cute ornaments in the parks We head to get those first. We had 12 ornaments total. Then I HAD to have the Green glittery sign that says Happy Holidays on it. Oh and I had to have the rope Mckey shaped jingle bells decoration even though Jeff swears I had it at home. (I didnt) It was very cute. We usually get one of the holiday village houses but I couldn't find them and was upset I didnt grab it on Main Street when I was inside. OH well, next year. So we go for a snow globe instead. Jeff and Jake are wandering through the boy sections and they each pick out a hat. I find a new cute Christmas Snow Globe with a train going around it. Perfect! Jeff got a new pirate shirt and the kids each got a toy. Jeff also got a new Pirate flag for the garage. Apparently one pirate flag hanging in our garage is not enough! pirate: Morgan grabbed a new t-shirt so Jake had one too. Then they got the giant spiral lollipops that would eventually become weapons in the car! :scared1: I'm looking at the bag I have and figuring this up in my head. Jeff sees me doing this and he says hes going to step outside while I ring it up. He doesnt mind spending money as long as he doesnt know how much it costs him. You should have seen us all walking across the plaza. First through security and out the other side balancing mounds of merchandise.

We get to the parking lot and the same thing hit Jeff and I at the same time. Fred. How in the world are we getting 7 bags 3 of which are rather large into Fred. This is a packing challenge to say the least. I contemplated ditching the stroller since we only use it at DL anymore but Jeff wouldnt let me do that. Oh man this took an hour to rearrange and squish everyone in for. THEN we headed over to a discount dance supply store that one of the other dance moms had told us about. We were there for over an hour. Morgan scored on the dancewear here. The total was about what we spent in World of Disney.:scared1: Jeff retreated to the car when they started ringing the stuff up again. I came out with a huge bag of dancewear and supplies at cheap prices!:thumbsup2 They were easy to squish in cracks in the car.

Needless to say it was a packed trip home. I will NEVER rent a PT Cruiser again. We were so cranky by the time we pulled into our driveway. We all poured out of the car when we opened the doors!

This was a fast trip and much different than our Must see everything attitude of the past trips but it was fun. Spent way to much money of course but whose thinking of that now??? :lmao:

Anyway, thanks for reading my quick trip report. Sorry for the delay in getting the rest of it out. MELODY are you satisfied????:rotfl2:
