I was sitting at my desk last week when our city computer person called me. She wanted to know if AT & T could use my photos for the cover of the local phone directory. I was thrilled when she e-mailed me a copy of the new cover. Now whenever anyone from the Barberton/Norton Ohio area uses their phone book they will be looking at my work!:goodvibes

generally for corporate headshots, portraits..etc, , the business gets the rights to use the pics for any advertising or general purpose they need., so if they submitted the pic with their business ad, the photog wouldn't need to be contacted..

I never submitted them! I just got a call, out of the blue, from the lady that handles our city's computer system...AT & T must have approached her about obtaining pictures, from our recent Mum Festival, for their cover. I had taken the the photos and posted them on a shared drive with other departments so she thought of me!:goodvibes She called and asked me if it was okay and I said, yes, but make sure I get credit for them!;) I'm anxious to get my phone book now to see if I did, indeed, get credit somewhere!:)

And, yes, our city founder's name was Ohio Columbus Barber! The statue was just dedicated a month ago.

From someone who grew up in Akron and Stow! Oh man...I miss the Barberton Chicken!!! Weused to get some Wite House everytimewe went home, but my parents recently moved out of state!!! I will miss it!
