Just back yesterday! We went to Raglan Road on Friday for a 5:45 ressie. They took us right on time. There were 13 of us and the concensus was that we were all disappointed with the food. One of us had the Chowder, which actually came out with no broth. Strange? It was muscles on a bed of crab meat. Then I got a chicken dish, which ended up being sausages. The menu didn't seem to match the plates. We didn't leave until 8:30. We thought the service was very slow. We brought our desserts back to the room. I do have to say, the bread pudding was absolutely fantastic! Overall, we were all a bit disappointed. Anyone else have the same experience?:surfweb:

Raglan road has been getting quite a varied response here on the Dis. It is one of the most inconsistent places I have read about. Although most complain the service is slow.

Thanks for sharing your experience. My DH and I dined at RR in September and enjoyed our experience. Lately though the reviews have been not great. I am very sorry to hear this and hope it gets better.

Your meals do sound weird:confused3

I am so sorry you thought your chowder sucked! I had this dish in August and it was absolutely awesome!

It's not really meant to have a lot of broth in it since it's "not bleedin chowder!" :)

I have been to RR twice now and loved it once, found it mediocre at best the second time.

I hope they aren't getting too full of themselves-- assuming the great crowd will be drawn by the band and dancer so that food and service can be left hanging.
