Silly Marathon Weekend T-shirt question

All, I registered for the 5K in January... With that you get a t-shirt. I put down an XL. After recieving my new brightly colored lime-green WISH shirt (yea!), also in XL, I'm afraid an XL will be too big.

For those of you that have raced on Marathon weekend, can you give me an idea of how the shirts fit? Do they shrink any???

I can speak for last year's 5k event :)

The shirts are cotton (not technical) and run just a little big, but they will definitely shrink (especially if you let me do the wash!)

And just to clarify...the shirts for the Half, Full and Goofy are all technical shirts. The 5k is the only regular style cotton one.

How do the technical shirts fit? Are they unisex? I ordered a M, but I'm wondering if it may be too big... Do they let you swap at the expo at all?

Leana - I ordered an XL last year and wished I did a L. I asked about swapping and they told me I would have to come back at the very end of the expo and see if there were any left. I didn't think mine was too large, it is roomy but comfortable.

I switched out last year for the Goofy. I said they told me upstairs that it was ok becasue there was a screw up :rolleyes1 and after a quick glance, I got the different size. Trust me they have plenty of shirts as all the no shows don't get there shirts(this is from an RD)

I'd say the shirts are "roomy" as they are "guy" size. They do not distinguish sizes for women and men and use the men sizing.

They are a womens tech shirt. No men sizes are avaiable for us guys. My DW got 2 of them. They were really nice.

BTW:The Go Red For Women 5K(the day before the 15K) is uni sex cotton t-shirt.

How did she get two? Also what are the sizes like? I usually run in a Nike Large, i'm uk size 12/14 (so i think US8/10?) Have ordered a medium so hope it's ok

I ran the 15K and got a womens small for her. She got her own shirt and mine. I think they run just like all other womens sized shirts.
