One day IOA ticket ?

We're staying at Pop 1/26-2/3.

I want to spend one day at IOA and I've got a couple of questions.

It looks like AAA only has discounted tickets for two park up to 7 day admission. It's more than I need or want. Does AAA have a 1 day/1 park option?

Universal's website has a 67.99 price for 1 day/1 park advance online purchase.

We hope to go on Sun 1/27. I'm not sure if I'll need express passes. It didn't look like I could purchase them online with the tickets. It said there weren't enough available for that date when I tried to add 1 day/1park express passes (19.99) to my shopping cart.

Are there only limited number of express passes sold per day? Is this how they keep the express pass lines from becoming just like regular lines?

I've read that you can add them when you get to he park if it seems like you might need them. We plan to arrive well before park opening and hit as many of the big attractions when we arrive.

What's the opinion of more experienced IOA fans? will I need the express passes?

Hey Barb! I think you will LOVE IOA as most of the homies do! Since you're going at the end of January, I doubt you will need the Express Passes but you can always get those at the park...if the lines look too long. Since you are getting there at opening, you should be good for a few hours before the crowds start arriving around 11am or so.

Thanks for the advice. That's what we'll do.

I've been to IOA & US once each back around 2003 or so when I was a FL resident. I wasn't impressed with US, but IOA instantly became one of those places where I was determined to return.
