Or these? (I don't quite understand the difference in the two...)

I know skirtsports has one, but they are more expensive and the capri length usually fits me like a pant length since I'm so short. I'd have to alter the skirtsport one...

Hard call. They are cute- I can't tell the difference either, but maybe it's the materials?

I bought the track pants that are on clearance at Nike. I like them, but they are long. I've worn them out and about, but it's been too hot for running in them. I tend to be nervous if it doesn't say "Running" but I'm new at this cold weather exercising thing, so I don't know if that's a valid concern or not.

Can you try them on at Phipps or some place? I ordered the same size shorts and pants from Nike. The shorts may have to come out after a few more LRs or with a very long shirt:scared1: , but the pants are almost big- irritating! Oh, and I'm sure it's colder there, but I've been fine in shorts in about 45 degrees as long as I layer on top.

Best of luck, clothing scout!

It looks like to much material for me. I don't like to much 'stuff' and the skirt is to much for me. I wear a pair of tights when it's cold, and usually that's good enough. I did buy a wicking pair of 'long johns' at Sam's and will try them under my tights if it gets really cold.

I think that the clothing companies go to far with 'fashionable' attire for exercise clothes. I don't need fashionable, I need FUNCTIONAL !

Hmmm, tough to say Shan. Cute for yoga, but all of that around the waist, plus a waist pack for your water bottle might be a bit annoying.

I've learned to get over how I look in running tights because, well...they are just the most comfortable thing ever. I'm not sure how cold it gets where you live, but at the end of the day I find tights to be the most comfortable in cold weather running. I agree with Beth, function over fashion!

You won't know until you try though!

Hey,

I have seen women wearing clothes in races that look like those. I sometimes wear a skirt (but they don't have spankies) over running tights and it doesn't bother me at all. I really like to do that for trail races, ....uhm, when nature calls and there isn't anyplace but nature to go....well the extra bit of skirt is handy. It's a neat trick I learned training on my country roads.

Anyway, I have seen them in races! If you like the extra coverage go for it. Afterall, it isn't about fashion, it's about your comfort!

I guess I need to just go try some running tights on. I have a leftover tummy that I'm very self conscious about and I thought these would cover it up. (I love my skirtsports cause of this.)

I bought two pairs of Champion pants at Target that are capris and fit me like pants, but they are already fading out after just a couple washes. :sad2:

I don't think I could. Plus, the sarong(sp?) part would probably emphasize my spare tire too much.

Shan, I got these, and used the WISHD discount. They have been great so far. I go out whenit's been about 25 degrees & I've been okay. They do seem a bit long, so the leg might be a bit bunchy for you.

Thanks Stacey. I just don't think I can do tights. :lmao:
I tried on a pair of Nike tights the other day and given I'm so short I had to really bunch them up, plus I felt like I looked like a frog.

I was looking at the Sugoi Energy or Nebula pants. I'm wondering if these can be hemmed? Does anyone have either pair of these?

I love wearing tights, but because of some extra fluff, I forgo wearing them.
With the sarong type skirt covering I will be able to wear tights and also cover up the fluff!!!
I tried a pair of tights under my gym girl and loved the way my fluff was concealed. I will be keeping an eye out for some ready made skirt tights to try!!

Erica:)
