I've just had a great  Would anyone mind if I do a journal box with 2 squares for one of my groups? If they work :pixiedust: they will be quite versatile if you don't want to use them all on one page:goodvibes

ETA the other will probably be a box & tag

I haven't started, since I've been finishing up other swaps and projects. I want to get them done before I go to WDW on the 18th, but I have to make cards for my Grandma's Christmas present. I bought a pack of 50 and I haven't even started yet. So we'll see how well things actually go.

Can I say I am really happy this is single elements and small groups. It should be pretty easy when I get down to it.

Mail call! Mickster and Jango's arrived today! Everything looks fantastic!

I am also very impressed how you managed to get everything into that little box. I have those boxes, but I have never had luck with them. I'm sort of spatially challenged. I just sent out a swap where I was only in one group and I couldn't make the little box work for me.

R-Peter Pan

Because we all know that I am a glutton for punishment, I'll help out bigsis and take over groups F and M. I'm going to do the same themes that she had picked.

hopemax
12-13-2007, 12:20 PM
P was just a group of me and BigSis so we could just drop it all together. And, umm, it was an "extinct" attractions group, so I had suggested the Living Seas WITHOUT Nemo, not with Nemo. :cutie:

I also was going to mention that cortzcards was the person who had volunteered to angel in Susie's swap and didn't, and I notice she hasn't been around for awhile, so her spots might need to be angeled too. She was in F, H, M, N.

I can do BigSis's I and N groups. Themes the same, but I may change elements.

AlexWyattMommy
12-13-2007, 12:33 PM
Guess we should drop P if it's okay with the hostess. Sorry about the mix up, I just really like Nemo. :rotfl:

I'll pick up Cortez's N and keep the same theme.

You can do R-Peter Pan. I haven't started it yet. Spend all night looking for clipart and nothing caught my fancy. I don't need to have any of those rides, so it'll be better going to someone who can really use them.

I'll PM too you so you get this.

Thanks for all the check-ins! Sounds like we are moving along.

For my own progress, I'm almost halfway through my groups. Now that I'm almost done with my Christmas prep, I should have more time to finish these up.

happypooh - That sale sounds fantastic! Deals on Disney are always a huge plus!

Susie - I would be totally happy with whatever you make, but if you're looking for suggestions, I have absolutely nothing for Flights of Wonder or anything to do with Rafiki's Planet Watch. If only that last AK swap wasn't during a busy time for me - I missed out on so much good stuff!

Sorry I missed the Dec. 13 check in. My dad had a heart attack and had to have quadruple bipass that week. Needless to say - I wasn't thinking of the swap at that time. Anyhow, he is in rehab now and we hope he's home soon!
I plan to work on these this week and they will be in the mail on time. :goodvibes

Merry Christmas all! I'm trying to enjoy today but DH has pneumonia and DS has a fever - hope he doesn't get the pneumonia too...and so been real busy trying to "do the holiday" and yet remember the real reason for the season....so need to pack all the swap stuff off the dining room table and make room for dinner! Will get back to it all tomorrow!

I know I'm not in this swap but I always check in on everyone...
Knovak.. glad to hear your dad is on the mend... continued prayers and pixie dust headed your way..

Happypooh~ prayers and pixiedust that everyone has a speedy recovery and that DS only gets a cold and not pneumonia...

If anyone needs anything please let me know.. I'm a great cyber-support gal!

knovak - So sorry to hear about your Dad! I'm so glad he's doing better, though!

happypooh - Hope your family is on the mend quickly! I'm sure these were stressful holidays for you.

Susie - try not to pull your hair out! It'll turn up!

Thanks to all who have checked in so far. Tomorrow is the last check in date. We're just about a week away from the mail by date, two weeks from the due date. Hopefully everyone is on track to get everything in by the due date. I'm still plugging away at my last few groups and busy admiring everything that has come in so far!

My DH is still sick...he got worse last night after having a weird allergic reaction to chocolate...great...I now have officially got the worst allergic family in the world! So he's coughing really really badly....ugh...but I'm thankful that I'm ok and my DD is ok and my son is on the mend...and in terms of scrapping best of all I got my printer to work!!! I have to get all this done before we leave friday. Celebrating my son's 3rd bday during DH's business trip..the chef at AKL is awesome and has a bday cake made with no wheat or dairy or soy or potato (or about 8 other ingredients!) Just hope DH gets better so we can go!

Mine went postal. I went to the PO after it was closed. The parking lot was empty. We have a machine that you can use 24 hours a day to get postage. As long as your package fits in the box there you can go whenever. It is nice.
Well anyway it went postal. Now to work on the MGM swap.

Do any of the carts you have have the train track on them?
The Mickey & Friends has the train icon. You can make 1-1/2 to 2 inches of those to put on photo mats or journaling boxes.

hopemax

I remembered the engine on M&F, but it didn't really remind me of the WDW, a little too cartoony. But I forgot that My World has an engine too. That one looks better. Plus there is what they call a fence but looks more like track to me. I also have a sizzix border that is train track, but it doesn't cut well, and I wasn't looking to trying to use it.

Off to see what I can come up with.

I've figured out what I'm doing. I just hope it looks okay when put together. If anyone from group I is reading, do you scrap 12x12 or 8.5" x 11"? I will try to make everything fit the smaller size, but I think it would look better 12x12.

PS, AWM, I just saw your "edit," What did you say that was bossy? I was exercising when you originally posted, so I didn't get to see it? And now I am curious? :rotfl:

I have to apologise to everyone - I have finished miyuki, 1st haircut, autopia, dream with mickey and halfway through dumbo, mgm hat, finding nemo, monorail, cooling off and know what I'm doing for peter pan (a paper dolls rendition) but there is no way I can finish all of it in 40 minutes before we have to leave for the airport. I haven't slept in 24hours trying to get it all done and also pack. I really really wanted to get it all done before we left but instead will have to bring this with us to florida. If I can get all the pieces cut out then I could assemble while on vacation but if not then I need to ask if it would be ok for me to send this a week late..we don't get back home til the 13th - I have the 14th off work so I could work all that day and get it all done and mailed. If that is not ok then I will most likely need angels for peter pan and whatever else I don't finish. I should know in the next few hours. Please tell me if its ok and I understand if it isn't. Sorry again...it's just been real bad with both DH being sick and DS...plus I angeled for the 8x8 calendar swap and got real stuck on doing snow white and tried to be fancy with an apple on the edge using the cricut design studio which took way too much time. I am sooo sorry. If it's not ok then I will just mail what I have finished. I hate to be flaky..sounds like I have dandruff and need head and shoulders!

happypooh - I'm not sure if you're still home or have left for the airport already?

If it's okay with the others, I'm inclined to say if you're pretty sure you can get them finished on the 14th, go ahead and mail late. You have so many groups that angelling any unfinished ones would mean a delay anyway.

If anyone has any major objections to waiting, just let me know.

Hi everyone..we got back after midnight last night and I had a rough night last night as my DD has pneumonia too now but I managed to work on finding nemo and the MGM hat - it was quite funny I thought as my son (he's 3y) commented that my mgm hat didn't look like the one at mgm - I had to ask why and he said coz there is no mickey hand there! I was pretty impressed that he remembered that detail and felt silly that I didn't! So I have to go look for a mickey hand to add to that paper piecing and finish up on the others. If I can get this done tonight and tomorrow am I can mail tomorrow night...I still am trying to get peter pan to work - he looks a bit odd as a paper doll so i may have to rework him. I managed to despite everyone around me having pneumonia making a trip to mouse memories and got paper and stickers for Dumbo and got some cuttlebug disney stuff. Just an FYi which you all may know already is that there will be some new cricut disney carts coming out in the spring or early summer..I think they are going to announce them sometime at some exhibition in feb. If anyone has ideas for peter pan please tell me!

Rats...no craftrobo here. I'll have to look for a coloring book and see if I can do a paper piece without the help of my cricut! Great job Rebecca!

I want that file! (Just kidding...) Can you, I guess, in a PM, tell me how you do that? It probably took you forever...

Actually if you can find a clear coloring page online it is really easy- Thick lines are better than thin ones for making paper piecings. First you download it as a bitmap. If things seem to connected together i will bring it into my Photoshop Elements and take out some of the lines by adding white paint- Everything needs to be defined. Then you open up robomaster and load the image in (it works best if you save it as a bitmap but a jpeg works also). Then have it autotrace. When it autotraces it does both sides of the tick lines. Take the outside piece as your mat and then you have all the other sections to work up from. I actually hand traced some of the pieces of this one because they wouldn't come out on the coloring page- The one I got for Darth though I got great pieces without having to hand trace. I always use the spline (the rounded one) to hand trace unless it is a straight line. I sperate the pieces and change the colors so I know what to cut them with and then cut out and ink and piece together.

Noe that I have the file I can make more in about 25 minutes including the cutting time- I can make up to 4 at once with the size paper I have so that isn't bad. Originally doing the file took a few hours though.

Thanks! I've already done some of that for my pieces in the MGM swap. I want to do a Little Einsteins logo for the Elements swap, but I only have Clipart. I'm going to see what I can do with that. I probably need photoshop, but I'm going to try my best! :) (I really am enjoying the Craft robo! :) Thanks for your advice...)

Yeah, that storm trooper knocked my socks off when I opened it up!

Thanks for the update, happypooh. Let me know when it does go postal.

Mine are postal express so you should get it by noon tomorrow. I did take some photos and will try and post later. I'm not happy with one of my elements and will think about it more and if I come up with anything I'll resend those to the individuals in that group (the shows/parades one) with dream along with mickey - too much stickles. Not sure I like stickles much. Any tips for using it?
I like the monorail element as I got to use my cuttlebug mickey emboss/cut plate for the first time and enjoyed using that. Sorry again for holding this swap up...am now starting on the next swap as I don't want to late on that one!

I did receive Happypooh's items today and swapped everything out this evening. I decided I'd rather go to the post office with my tower of boxes when no one else was around, so I used the Automatic machine to mail out everything except for the 2 UK ladies. I will go back tomorrow during the day to mail those out. I'll start the return thread so you can let me know when they arrive.

Thanks for being such great swappers! I think you will all be happy with your packages. Thanks to those of you who sent goodies, too. It was not necessary, but appreciated!
