Just wondering what time the storyteller/ campfire is? And are they one in the same? What else should I plan around for dinner at Jiko. This will be "resort day" Thanks!

Outside, at the Arusha Rock, are nightly African storytelling next to a fire pit. Njoki from Kenya and Thabo from South Africa are 2 of the storytellers. If you have the opportunity, take the time to speak with these folks (and tell them Deb said hello!).

A booklet describing some of the African art in the Lodge is available at the Front Desk.

There is a Lodge Lobby tour every afternoon at 3:30pm. It lasts approximately one hour.

It was 6;30 when we were there in January. The cool evening and the fire went well. I am glad we didn't miss it.

FYI: We stayed in june & because of the dailey rain storytime was held in lobby. I just remember late afternoon.

Does anyone else remember the time? I am wondering if it will be later in the summer....I know that the campfire/movie at FT. Wilderness is an hour later in the summer. Thanks for all the great replies...

We will be there in March. If nobody replies by then, I'll try to remember to ask if the times change throughout the year and if they do what will they be in the summer. Hope that helps.

When you check in you are given a sheet with the layout of the hotel on the back is all the current information, storytelling times, tours, pool games and other activities. Im sure times will change with season. When we were there in January Storytelling was at 6:30 and lasted approx an hour. Its great, try not to miss it !
