DD and I are taking a quick 2 nighter to BC on 11-18. This is our first trip as DVC members. What can we expect? Do we check in at a different location? Do I need to bring my membership card? Also, we don't even close until 12-10. Has anyone every had a problem checking in before their closing date? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

if you could make the reservations and have - don't worry about it.

I always bring my reservation confirmation - don't need it - I just bring it - just in case of trouble.

you need your blue membership card if you are using the free valet parking. but you don't need it here. the self parking is closer to the BCV.

there is a separate checking in that BCV is trying. but it is only open during certain hours.

the bell services have offered to take members to this place. In your case I might just take them up on the offer. explain that you are new to DVC when they take your luggage.

if you are flying and using DME - just ask one of them to help you.

You will need your membership card if you want to take advantage of any of the DVC discounts such as the $100 discount for APs, dining discounts, etc. Here are links to information about some of the discounts:

DVC, AP and DDE dining discounts (http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/disc_dining.pdf)

Other DVC and AP discounts (http://allearsnet.com/pl/disc_other.pdf)

There will be a pamphlet that lists your Perks. Be sure to take a few minutes to look at it and plan!

Your key should have DVC member on it, and that may be enough to get many of the perks.

Have a great first visit!!! We did a short 2 nighter for our first trip also!!!

Those were interesting links. I searched All Ears for the same info about Disneyland and had no luck. Is there a pae somewhere that lists those discounts?
