Been a member for several years and have been at holiday time. Our plans for our next WDW vacation changed, so now we have decided to take a trip next holiday season, and possibly bring guests. We would need a 2BR.

If you had your choice, where would you stay? For this case, let's assume you could book at any existing DVC, which means, don't worry about home resort vs. non-home resort. I just want to see where you all would stay. (for this example, again, I say DVC resorts existing at present on WDW property).

First choice: VWL hands down

Second choice: BWV

But that's just me....YMMV. ;)

Well, Granny picked my first and second choices...if you needed to know a third, it would SSR. I think that DTD is a destination in itself in December, and I would be happy to walk there.

PS. We haven't stayed at AKV in December...but we are trying it for 1 night this December...I am lured by the cost of the weekend night in a value studio. Maybe I'll have a new December order, but I doubt it.

I don't know which DVC but I can't wait to find out. Next December (2008) will be our very first DVC stay and we plan to stay at our home resort SSR. :cool1:

Hopefully in the coming years we will be able to stay at all the DVC. My next pick would be VWL and the BWV. :woohoo:

Once again, Granny sums it up nicely. It seems the atmosphere during the holidays is great at VWL. I would love to stay there at least for a few days but I think the demand will be too great, even at seven months.

Our home resort is BWV. The EPCOT area is nice that time of year because New Year's Eve is so crowded. You can walk over and enjoy the fireworks.

Xmas is on a Tuesday which means an extra-long break for those of us that work in education which could be an extra-long DVC vacation.

First choice is VWL; second choice is SSR. I think VWL feels like christmas while SSR and its proximity to DTD and the hustle and bustle there are both great.

I'm sure you will see many photos of the great trees in the main lobby and VWL atrium and other decorations from around the resort. :)

I know, AKV doesn't seem like a logical Christmas choice, but we love the place SOOO much....

We're actually planning a December '08 trip ourselves...We'll book AKV day by day at the 11 month mark (while at WDW, I might add, for our January trip) and then try to switch out/waitlist of VWL at the 7 month mark.

I doubt we'll get VWL....that timeframe is pretty popular, but we're gonna try.
