View Full Version : Where should we stay?
We are planning our 1st trip to WDW in June. I watched the planning DVD, but they all look like good choices. Because we are coming from CA, this trip is getting expensive fast, so we don't want anything fancy. There are 8 of us: me, dh, ds9, dd5, dmother, dfather, dsister, dneice5. What do you guys suggest? :confused3

I think all Disney resorts are wonderful, but if you're planning a budget trip Pop Century seems to be very popular on here. You would need two rooms which could by adjoining.
Some don't like the value resorts, but we spend most of our time at the parks so the values fit our needs (Clean place to sleep, shower, and eat an inexpensive quick breakfast.) Your 9, 5, and 5 year olds would probably like All Star Movies too.
I personally think you can't go wrong with any of the value resorts.

I've been twice and stayed at value resorts both times. AS Music & Pop. Loved them both. All the resorts are beautiful but I think the value resorts are more 'Disney themed' than the other resorts. That's part of why I like to stay there. When we go next year, I plan to stay at AS Movies. The beds are also comfy :cheer2:

You might want to look into renting DVC points and staying in a Disney DVC suite. We're paying $168 per night for a BoardWalk standard studio which has a 'fridge, microwave and toaster. A larger unit which would handle your party would be more, but you'd get a much nicer place than any Value resort and save $$ by having some of your meals right there. Unless I'm wrong, you'd need two rooms at a Value resort anyway, so a DVC suite might be close in price to those. There are DVC forums on these boards.

Thanks for your ideas. It looks like we are leaning towards staying at pop. Now I just need to make ressies. The decision now becomes, do I get my package from AAA or Disney?
