If a person has a June use year and has banked points, am I correct in assuming the banked points are good until May 31st? Also, are there reservation restrictions - such as how far in advance you can make the reservation? Can the points be used at one of the hotels as well as the DVC units? Thanks:)

Banked points are good for any trip taken during the use year into which the points have been banked and for a June use year that would be until May 31.

They can be used for a trip like any other points -- can call 11 months out at home resort or 7 at others and they can also be used for the Disney Collection hotels.

Just to be sure you understand, May 31st is inclusive. You may make a reservtion that includes May 31st as a night, with a check-out date of June 1st.

Another banked points question: If I have banked my points (2007 use year) for a 2008 vacation and then wish to do something "unexpected" during my 2007 use year, will I have to borrow from 2008, or will they give me back some of my 2007?

Now want to take 2-3 day quickie trip in Dec 2007 (great airfare deal). Can I book it with 2007 points or can I borrow from 2008?

Don't have to go, just thought it would be fun for DH and I to get away for a couple of days.

Don't have to go, just thought it would be fun for DH and I to get away for a couple of days.Banking and borrowing are "final" transactions. You cannot "unbank" those 2007 points. You can borrow 2008 points for a trip in your 2007 UY. If you end up cancelling that Dec '07 trip, you cannot "unborrow" the points. They will stay in your 2007 UY and expire on July 31st.

:flower3: Thanks!! Roundtrip airfare under $200 each! And don't really care where I stay, so any of the resorts would be fine. Would love to see the World for Christmas and maybe do MVMCP.

I rather doubt you will find any rooms available for this December in any of the resorts - December is probably the one month that books up the quickest - and you are only a month out - DVC is often booked up this close most of the year. Your best chance would be the middle of the month and Friday and Saturday because of the higher points.

But you never know until you try - just don't get your hopes too high - and don't buy the airfare until you find a room.
