I would be more intersted in taking my kids to a group situation - instead of in-room sitting. Has anyone used the Kinder Care day care facility? What is this like & do the kids enjoy it? How about the Child Care at the Dolphin or Swan ....must you be staying there to participate? (we will be at the WL) Thanks for all of your help!

We have used the in room service. The kids had a blast. The lady was like a grandma.. She came with a bunch of toys..
I have used the child care at BW wih our oldest daughter, but she was over 4.

use KinderCare.
I've heard they are great!
Here's some info on them for you.:
Sitters can be scheduled to begin their sits from 6am - 10pm. They are allowed a 30 minute travel time with a four hour minimum. I think the price for 2 kids is $12 or $13 per hour, plus gratuity for the in-room sitting. Kindercare also has a daycare on WDW property which is an alternate form of care. You can call 30 days in advance and they do book quick from what I understand.
For the On-Site daycare :
407-827-5437 : Their hours of the on-site daycare are (I think) 6am-9pm monday thru Friday and 6am-6pm on weekends.
For The In-Room ChildCare:
407-827-5444.
I actually have my 2 children at a KinderCare in New Jersey and they are great! I have them in full-time daycare there and we love and trust the care they receive.
Good Luck and have a great trip.

We did KinderCare in December - it was great. Note though we did call them to tell them we were running late, but they didn't tell the sitter, so she was just waiting in the hallway for us!

Hi!
Those of you who have used Kindercare recently, could you recommend a sitter to me by name?
You can email me at ladyandtramp@triad.rr.com
Thanks!

None of the WDW group childcare centeres take kids under four. It has to do with their state day care license. Kindercare and Fairy Godmothres will come right to your room. Both are licensed and bonded. I've used Kindercare and been very happy with them.
If you do'nt want a stranger in your room, your only other option would be to bring along your own babysitter from home.
And BTW, if they suspect a kid is under four they are very good about finding out. Saw them ask a kid at the Harbour Club, and when the kid answered emphatically that she was three, they told the parents, sorry, she can't stay. Parents tried with the "But she's 3 1/2" thing, but it was no go. They won't jeopardize their license.

I just spoke with Kindercare & they will send out a sitter from 7 AM to 9:30 PM. You can have someone sent out later than 9:30 PM, but they charge an extra fee.
For those of you with lots of kids -- this is one place where you get a break! Current rates are:
1 child - $12/hour (+ tip???)
2 children - $13/hour
3 children - $14/hour
What a deal :)
We plan to try them on our next trip.
