Best way to get songs off my ipod due to PC crash!

My laptop crashed a while ago and my DH's ipod was registered with it so all his songs have disappeared, well they're still on his ipod!

Does anyone know an easy way to get them back on to my laptop?

Have you tried Googling it, Jo? My technical DS says it def can be done and gave me a long explanation about changing the iPod into a hard drive!! :confused3

Easy solution.. Install ITunes on your Laptop, connect ipod to your laptop.

Sorted Done that but it will erase all songs already stored on my ipod which I'm trying to avoid :goodvibes

No it wont do that.. Once you fire up itunes, it will search for your ipod, then load the files from your ipod into its folders, even if it did wipe your tunes, You still have the folder in itunes..
Ive been using ipods since day dot & never had this problem yet..
The other way is, DONT install itunes, connect your ipod to pc & it will see your ipod as an extra drive..
