I'm going to tape this on our golf cart and at our cabin, so if you see me...SAY HOWDY, please refrain from pelting me with eggs, rotten tomatoes, or broken beer bottles. I made this without my name as well, so if youd like to SAVE PICTURE AS... to your computer, just add your own name with any PAINT or other photo editing software, it should fit perfectly on any letter size paper, although I'm using glossy, and you might want to put it in a page protector to save it from wet weather. I figured this would be much easier to spot at the sites than the little "alien green disney paint chip samples from home depot". I hope to see some of these when Im there!!! I was PM'd about the Disney font that I wrote my name with...you can download that for free from many locations on the web...just type in "Free Disney Font" and you'll have lots of choices, just make sure to save it in the same folder as the rest of your computer's fonts. I've had some other "how to" questions as well....feel free to write me if you need some help, I honestly dont mind at all. It maykz mee fill lyk Im iz smort!!! :o) ....OH, and YES, you CAN also type in "FW MENS CAMPING, BEER AND KUNGALOOSH CLUB" on it anywhere you like!!! LOL

Thats exactly right, and it DOES usually come in a zip....I forgot to mention that in your PM breick. If you dont have a program to unzip stuff...again, FREE software...just do a search for "free WinZip".
NOTE TO ALL:If all of this is just confusing...don't be embarrassed, some people just dont get computers, so if you prefer, drop me a PM and I'll add your info to the tag for you and email it to you as a bitmap...all you'll have to do is print it out.

I'm still getting used to Window Vista. I have to switch between XP and Vista both at home and work depending on which computer I'm on. Vista has a right click extract all feature. Thanks for your help.

Im not a big Vista fan either, but all of my computers run it except for one that Im still running xp on......to be honest, I really really miss Windows'95...it had a great Phone answering/fax/recording program, and THAT photo editor was AMAZING!!!

Thank You Thank You!! Our local Home Depot is 20 miles away, only a Lowes here. Is ok to hang it even though we just joined? Like I said I'll bring some Smirnoffs and I'm hoping to bring the Vodka sours. I just want time to sit and enjoy one. We'll be the site with all the kids. Now all knowing one, :confused3 how do I add a profile or a signature line? I must do some more research on the intro thread to inquire.

princess: princess: pirate: pirate: princess:If you look at the top of each page, you'll see links to user cp, chat, news,DIS home, etc, well USER CP means USER CONTROL PANEL, edit signature for Signature editing(obviously), and EDIT PROFILE to edit your tag and other cool little things. If you want pics in your sig, you must have them hosted by a site such as PHOTOBUCKET.COM, or SHUTTERFLY.COM, theres plenty of them out there. just play around with it, you'll figure it all out.

Thanks for this sign! I printed it the night before we left.

We returned about 1 hour ago from our trip. We put the sign in the back window of the camper on the way down and on the inside of the windshield of the suburban while parked at our site. This was MUCH easier than coloring in the car on the way to the Fort which was my original plan.

OK, Rog, I'm resurecting this one because I can't figure out how to change the font on my paint software. Maybe mine is just lame. I can't seem to do anything other than little bitty words in standard type. Do you have any secrets? I'm also lousy at posting photos. I have snapfish or fire or something and I just can't figure it out..racka...fracka....ergh!:headache:

So you see, I'm a damsel in distress...would you help me?:cutie:

By the way, I like your new avatar. Much less frightening than that other Aladdin one.

After you download the font (and un-zip it if it is in a zipped format), you need to place it in your C:/windows/fonts folder. Then it will be available for whatever program you use to add your name to the picture.

PolyPix...those are the instructions for downloading a font into you computer and being able to use it wherever you like....but if that doesn't make sense to you, let me know what city and state youre in and I'd be glad to do it for you and email it to you or post it here for you to right click and save.

That other avatar was Chernabog....from Fantasia, not Aladdin,but I could see where he resembled the genie towards the end when he got all giant and evil looking! Never noticed that before.

When you are typing in your replys in the little box that pops up, if you look at the top of the little box that youre typing in, you'll see whats looks like a little post card.Yellow box, 2 mountains, sun in the upper right corner...see it? Click on that and it will open another box that will ask you for the pictures address: which should be something to the effect of "snapfish.com/polypix.picture1.jpg" or something vaguely similar. Again....because you're sooo cute :rolleyes: , if ya can't figure it out, email 'em to me at bigdaddyrog@charter.net and I'll post them for ya.

OK. Maybe it is just the day I have had, but I am perturbed. I could have used an uglier word. Anyway, I have Snapfish thru Comcast and Snapfire thru Dell. Neither will willingly give me any web address I can use in the "little yellow pic with 2 mountains and a sun!" Dis boards is not my issue. I can post avatars and countdown tickers, etc with no problem whatsoever. My issue is most likely, that these programs that have come with services I have purchased are the minimum offered and really no good at doing anything. :mad:

Phew, just needed to get that off my chest. I will continue to try. In the mean time, I really don't have anything in particular I wanted to post. I was attempting with a very cute pic of DH and DD11 dressed as pirates on Halloween. It's not essential, but I'd like to share:goodvibes

Is there a smiley for screaming at the top of your lungs and then throwing your computer through the window?

I have downloaded and unzipped waltograph and a few other disney fonts. They are not showing up on my computer anywhere. I put them where all the other fonts are. I tried the otf and ttf. Neither are working. ttf it says is not allowed even though there are a few other ttf fonts. otf it accepts but then it doesn't show up as a file or any any programs. I have vista and ms office 2007. I am so angry right now. I put it on my desktop a while back with no prob. It has now disappeared from my desktop as well. I am trying to print stickers for the kids backs with my cell number on them.

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I would also like to print one of those signs. HELP!!!!!!

Keep in mind that after you unzip the font file and place it in the Fonts folder you need to install the font. IIRC, you right-click on the font file and select Install Font. I'm on a Vista PC new (new here at work, I'm piloting for a Gov't agency. My recommendation is NO FREAKING WAY but they never listen) and can't get it to work most likely due to security issues. I believe on my XP at home I used the Fonts applet in the Control Panel to install the fonts after unzipping the Waltograph and Waltograph UI folders under the Fonts folder.

OK BigDaddyRog, if I beg *really* nice, I want a site marker too! TBG here threatened my life about installing any more fonts on this machine... it seems that apparently having over 1500 fonts on it *really* slowed it down.... so he spent an entire weekend uninstalling all except those that I need. Seems like I'm a computer semi-literate.....

I printed out another one, but it's like.... "green", not "lime green", and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change the color.

Please take pity on this semi-literate.... *sigh*

Im not real sure what to tell you about the color variance.Maybe if you open this up in a photo editing program and went to brightness/contrast you could lighten it and that may make it an "alien-er" green...but when I print it out its not as bright of a green on paper either...although I found that using glossy paper did improve it some. PPixie...I only ask for the hometown/st now, and that just to put it on the marker...its a nice conversation starter when people see the sign close enough to actually read it. I quit with the email because someone said the virus protection was claiming that the sign may have a virus and wouldnt allow them to open it. I like sending via email because it can be sent as a bitmap instead of you copying it as a jpeg, so its much sharper AND I dont have to upload it to photobucket to post it to you here...so it WAS to save me a step....but its actually easier for me to upload it to photobucket than it is for me to give instructions on how to turn off the virus protection and then download the pic and then turn virus protection back on. So now I just post the signs on the board. Nope...Im not hacking into you computer or stalking you from across the street looking through your window....btw are those victoria secrets or those JCPenny knock offs your always wearing when you pass the window? :)J/K...here ya go.

I don't know if my chair would support us both, plus, my dd4 likes to ride in my lap. You would have to fight her for a spot. And even though she only weighs 25lbs, she can hold her own. She has to be against all of the bigger kids around here. I think ds8 is scared of her. :scared1: I really think she could take you. :mad: She doesn't like to share me.

I am still trying to figure out a way to attach them. I am thinking laminating them and then riptying them to the wheels, of course Mickey would get quite dizzy.:sick: I'll see what ds16 can come up with.

Mamaloya....your 25 pounder sounds like my 25 pounder....she's 5 and still sleeps in our bed...we know thats not exactly healthy for our...um ... excercise routine, but I dont have the heart to kick her out since mom had to go back to work and she started kindergarten...she has social anxiety and was always with mom untill last year. We just have to get more creative with our alone time now. Cherish it while it lasts...because, well...you have as much experience as I do....it just doesnt last long enough, does it?:sad1:

And....(and OH, I KNOW I"ma get a flaming for this)but, **** is the most degrading term ever created, seriously......Im all about female degradation, I can high-five with the guys, and spit and swear, even drunk-flirt with women WAAAYY out of my league...but I will never use the term ****. It just aint right.

I don't know. I guess I shouldn't have used it. I can't stand the term either. It has become part of the workplace lingo, thanks to American Pie. DH knows it gets to me, which is probably why he used it in that particular scenario to begin with. He was trying to make an impression on naive little me. :eek: Suppose it worked
