For a while now I've been picking up the magazine from the UK, Digital Camera. I've found the photography to be quite compelling, and have enjoyed the magazines focus on helpful instruction. Additionally, most issues come with a CD that provide step-by-step tutorials on photoshop tasks. As I am a photoshop idiot, these are very nice.

Yesterday I picked up another UK magazine (which I believe is from the same publisher) named Photo Plus. This is directed at Canon users, and is almost entirely devoted to instruction.

I'm a bit of a magazine junky (no, I won't tell you how many I get delivered) but these two are real standouts and I thought I'd call them out.

I agree with Digital Camera World. The other one's I really like are Practical Photography and DSLR User. Both are UK mags. I usually find them at the Barnes & Noble in Burlington. The B&N in Braintree doesn't have as big a Magazine section. Haven't checked out other places in the Boston area.

I pick mine up at the B&N in teh Prudential Center -- and the 5% discount with the B&N card makes it cheaper than a subscription :thumbsup2
