I would appreciate anybody's feedback as to whether you can use your BCV points after March 6 to book a DCL trip in the fall?

Thank you

I am new SGTPET but my understanding was that we could use BCV points just like anyone else uses their points as long as the arrival is after August 1st. I believe (like I said, I am new so I could be wrong) that you could book now for DCL using BCV points as long as the cruise is after August 1st. The March 6th date is strictly for booking at BCV.

As long as you don't need to borrow some of next years points, you should be able to book March 6th, for a cruise starting after August 1st.

If you're going to need to borrow (like we are), you'll have to wait till closing to borrow those points and book your cruise. Closing is scheduled for June 1st, but since this is a Saturday, June 3rd is more realistic. Also, there is no way that all the pre-sales can close on the same day. These have to all be taken to the courthouse to be "closed", and I'm sure there's a limit. So it may take a few days to work through the back log.

So what if I borrow points from my vwl points for next year, but when my bcv contract is active can I switch my BCV points into my VWL Contract, does that make sense?

DCL is considered an exchange. If you use the VWL points to book the cruise, you cannot later switch to use to BCV points for the cruise instead.

Thanks, that is what I thought.
