Here is a satellite view of WDW. You can move the screen around and easily zoom in and out on various areas. SAB is just to the left of the starting point in this view.

Help me please! Where's the lazy river part? I'm lost with aerial views, DH often tells me that there's some such landmark when we're in the air, and I just don't see it!

Ahhhh....So is the LAKE in the top of the picture??? Sammie and vonpluto, am I getting it? If so, then I was looking at it from an upside down standpoint.
Thank you for your help!
Bobbi:goodvibes
PS. Another question...what is "sinking sands?" Fun?

Yes the lake would be toward the top of the photo, the bottom going back toward the building.
Sinking sands was at one time an area that when you walked through it you "sank" down into the sand. I had been told they removed this feature. :confused3
Not sure about it being upside down. It is simply an aerial view if you were looking at it from the resort. You can see the pirate ship and slide near the beach at the upper portion of the photo, so that is the beach area.
In the lower right of the photo you can see the edge of Yachtsman's.

Sammie, Sinking Sands were working last time we were there (9/07) however, Bubbling Bay was non-functional with no plans to revive it. One of the lifeguards told me it was disabled due to visibility issues. The bubbles obscured their view of the bottom of the pool which is apparently a no-no. There was a giant floating basketball hoop over the area on our last visit. I was sad to see this feature not working but I guess I can understand the safety issue.

Thanks, maybe that was what I remembered, and had the two confused.

You probably were remembering correctly, I've found Sinking Sands operation to be very spotty. It was working last time but our 2 visits before that it wasn't. I think the filters get clogged and it's sort of a toss up as to whether it will be working or not. Oddly enough I found a spot of sinking sand in the 5 foot area over by the windmill last time in addition to it's normal location. I stepped in it and was suddenly over my head in the water! Had I not known what it was I would have been really freaked out.
