I am in the planning stages for a family of ten vacation to Orlando, Walt Disney in December, 2008. That is correct, ten member. Please put forth your best suggestions of where to stay.
4 kids and the rest are adults, that act like kids.

I'd recommend VWL. That sounds perfect for you given your information.

I am also going to be attending December 2008. In a conversation with MS, they indicated that the 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas is extremely busy for DVC - not the general public. The holiday weeks are also very busy.
Their recommendation is to book your home resort. Trying to get into another DVC at the 7 month window is difficult, but not impossible. They also strongly recommended day-to-day reservations.
It sounds like you are going to be in need of a GV and there are a limited number available and go quickly. If you home resort is SSR, there are 36 GV's available. Good luck!! :santa:

You'll need either a GV or a 2BR with an additional studio for that many people. I found the 2BR/1 Studio solution was perfect when I went with a party of eight to OKW. It's a lot easier to secure than a GV. MS was able to put us all in the same building, so it worked quite well for us.
It all depends on how many points you have and want to spend. I agree that you should try at your home resort rather than waiting for the 7-month window elsewhere.

What is your home resort?
You might be better going with the 2 bedroom, 1 studio suggestion. As often seen on this board, people end up dropping out so you would have more flexibility.
