New Camera?

Im saving up to get a really good camera. I have a Cannon Powershot now and its not that great. The pictures just arn't good quality. Any suggestions for a really good camera, I wouldnt want to spend over a thousend. But if the best costs more than that I think my parents would meet me halfway with the money.

Oh and if you think your camera ia good, could I see a picture from it? Could be any picture, of anything, trees, animals, ect... I just want to see the quality of pictures.

It works really well in the dark. Except in Peter Pan alot of them are blurry and there are kinda ghosts of the characters but it's like the lighting.
Snow white and Pooh and all them turned out really well though.

My brother uses a Nikon Coolpix. It's not one of the thin ones from the Kate Moss ads, it's one of the more normal sized ones. It takes good pictures.
He mostly uses a film camera though, which are his best pictures. The Coolpix line are usually great, my dad has one that takes good pictures, it's just old (so it's slow).

I would recommend to stay away from Fujifilm. I have one, and it hardly works now. If you do decide to buy from them, go higher up the line.

For Digital I use A Canon Powershot A75, It's not the greatest camera, but I've learned how to work it and I can manage to take some alright photos

For non-digital I have a canon, but I have NO clue what model it is because it's from like 1987 or something! It's SUPER old, but it's takes GREAT photos!

Anyways...I totally want one of those hardcore nikon DSLR ones, but they are totally expensive!!

honestly sometimes it's just a fluke when i get a good pocture, but if you really just have to fiddle around with the settings.
for close ups, definitley use the macro setting (i dunno if your camer is the same, but for mine to put it on macro all you have to do is press 'down' on the little arrow keys and a little flower pops up in the corner, that is macro)
I did read alot of the little manual that came with it though, so that might've helped me out.

And as for focus, just press the button half way down before you snap a photo to let it focus properly (i havent expiriemented with manual focussing yet, just auto, but letting it focus for a second really helps) and if you don't like the focus, just let go of the button, and try it again.

I dunno if that'll be helpful or not :confused3

So that's what the flower means.
The flower is the only way I can take pictures. Somethings wrong with my camera, so unless it's on Macro setting, my pictures are blurry and worthless. Sometimes I have to turn my camera on several times before the setting comes on, and sometimes it says ZOOM ERROR and stops working.

i generally just stick with nikon.. i wouldnt recommend sony because they tend to have a yellow tint to them indoors

my dad just got a nikon that is amazing. 11 megapixels and it can take like 3 pictures a second. it can also take crystal clear pictures in the dark without flash. the problem is its a big camera and it has the lenses that screw off soo if u want an insane ammount of zoom u need 2 buy an extra lense. i also have a kodak easy share c768 and its really good.

i use a samsung digimax D53x with a 3x physical zoom and a 2x digizoom. it has 6 megapixles (all you will ever really need unless you're a hardcore fashion photographer)
