Ladies,
I'm thinking of upgrading to the new cricut machine. If I do that I will need to sell my little bug. I was thinking of placing an ad at my LSS to see if anyone wants it. My question is what do I price it at? I have the bug, 4 brand new cutting mats and a font cartage that I would sell as a set. I want to keep George, so it will be another cartage. What do you think?

I'm no help. I use both my bugs. I like the smaller one for the fonts & things that are 5" or smaller because the mats don't cost so much to replace as the larger ones. I was going to sell the little one, but I've convinced my DH it is better to keep it. ;)

I sold mine because I just wasn't using it- plus I wanted some new cartridges. ;) I sold mine to a good friend for $90 not including a cartridge. It had everything else including a new package of mats. Good luck!

Ok, AWM.... Can I use the smaller mats to cut smaller things in the big bug?

NO!
I thought I could too, but it doesn't work. The little ones are too narrow and they slide as they go through. They are too wide to turn them the other way to work.

You have to use the big bug's smaller mat - the 12x12. Which makes for a lot of wasted space to me.

Yes, you have to use the bigger mat, but you don't have to cover the entire mat with paper. It is possible to use smaller paper on the big mat. You just have to arrow over to the new corner and push the button 'set paper size'.

Also, you can put in the mat with either end first, so as to equalize the wear on the mat.

I have both bugs and use both, I love having two bugs. I don't know what to say about selling yours. I know you can get them new now for $124. Good luck.

After talking with DH I think I will just keep the little bug and ask for a big bug from Santa....
