A question to those of you who take back to back cruises .... How does the day where you disembark and embark on the next cruise flow?? Do you have to go through the whole reservation shuffle on the second cruise or are you allowed to take care of that before you disembark the first cruise? I'm liking Barb's thinking about getting two days at Castaway and seriously considering this. If you can manage to book the same cabin, can you leave your luggage onboard or do you have to pack and unpack again? I'm thinking that the customs regulations come into play here, right? Any help or suggestions from those in the know are appreciated.:D

I do not know the specifics. We are sailing back to back in October on the Magic.
We do have the same cabin booked for both sailings. I do believe we get to leave our luggage on board. As far as getting off and getting back on again, I don't know. I hope we get to stay on the ship, but I have heard varying stories.

What we have been told is that we will probably be able to remain on the ship, but that could change due to Customs regulations. We are doing three in a row, with the same stateroom for each, and I will post a full report when we return. We kick that trip off on Labor Day weekend, and the thing I am looking forward to most is THREE days at Castaway Cay!!

We did back to back last September. We had conflicting stories about getting off or not every time we asked the question. We finally found out on the last night of the cruise. We went to the de-barkation talk and had to ask Jim (I think he was cruise director). At that point they decided we could stay on board. We also had the option to get off like a day in port.

I hope we get to stay on board. But if we don't, we will live.

We also had the option to get off like a day in port.
Does this mean that you could just show ID and have your key card swiped and get on and off as you pleased?

From what I can remember he said it would be alot easier for him to explain the procedure for staying on versus the procedure for getting off. We told him we wanted to stay on so he was glad about that and didn't bother explaining the getting off procedure
