I made a ressie through CRO and was told I could guarantee my room with a credit card and no deposit. When I received the confirmation it stated the total amount of the ressie, said guaranteed with a credit card and also said Deposit Amount Due: $.00.
Well, it's now three weeks later and I just realized that it also says, in small print - Total package amount is due by 5/31/02. This is exactly 21 days prior to our trip. When making ressie and on two subsequent calls, I confirmed that this was not a WDTC ressie and therefore would not have all the weird cancellation policies.
I just called Disney to question this and was informed that they need something to hold the room, so if they don't get a deposit, they need the total amount due 21 days prior. With two little kids, I'm not comfortable committing all my money that far out, they told me my other option would be to charge my cc for one nights deposit. I went for that option.
