We're planning our trip for January!!:cool1: We're reserving things seperately with the hotel, flights, etc... (not doing a package deal)so...my question is would we be eligible to buy the dining plan? I think it sounds just right for us and wonder if we can since we're not doing any sort of package deal. Thanks for any advice!!

No, it is for package deals only or DVC members.

I don't believe you can..to purchase the dining plan you have to buy the magic your way package with at least a one day ticket...someone correct me if I am wrong.

You either have to purchase a Magic Your Way package which includes lodging, tickets and the dining plan for all guests OR you can purchase the dining plan if you are staying on DVC points (or other reservation through MS) at a DVC resort.

Without buying a Magic Your Way package, the only way a non-DVC member would be able to get the dining plan would be to rent a points resevation at a DVC resort from a DVC member. It's actually a pretty economical way to stay in a Disney resort, so you may want to check it out. There is an entire Rent/Trade board dedicated to the subject.

You don't have to book your flight or rental car through Disney. The package can be room, dining and just a one day base ticket.
