Hi there!

We just got back from our marvelous holiday - I'd like to share it with you all:goodvibes

Please be gentle on me - its only my second attempt at a trippie......ok here goes.....

I'll start by introducing myself - I'm Karen, just turned 40 but I act like a 6 year old:goodvibes . My hubby is Neil and we have a son, Ellis - age 7. We're from England, so if you dont understand any of my jokes just post a :confused3 and I'll try to explain my sick sense of humour to you.

We've been to WDW several times but this year we were cruising too:cool1: .

I found the "meet" thread for Oct 20th before I had even booked. I met a really great bunch of dissers on there and we chatted regularly....(ok, I admit it - I was on there all the time:rolleyes1) - you'll see photos of most of the group later.

One couple whom I know you all know well from her brilliant trippies and food reports - Brenda and Jason (Oybolshoi) had to sadly pull out, so rather than not go at all I offered to take her mascot - the one and only Plankton!

Here we are....this is a photo from day 5 -me (Auntie Karen), Planky and Brenda(Planky's Mom).

Day 1 - Saturday 13th October

Ok, we arrived on the 13th October from Manchester, England with Virgin. A relatively painless experience and smooth flight. The double collection was a pain - waited over an hour for the suitcases at the second point but we were soon on our way to the first hotel - Holiday Inn I Drive. We've used it before, the rooms are big and theres a big enough fridge for beer, wine and cheesecake. It has an iron and ironing board and microwave too.

We didnt upgrade the car this time as it was going to be sitting in a carpark for most of the time so we just got a PT Cruiser which fitted all of us and our luggage perfectly.

We quickly unpacked and headed off to Bennigans for dinner.

Heres hubby Neil and my munchkin Ellis

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020016.jpg

Then it was back to the hotel and we got Ellis tucked into bed and we werent far behind him.

Snoring by 9pm! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Not bored yet? - ok then:thumbsup2 - read on to day 2:banana:

Day 2 - Sunday 14th October

We woke at 5.15am and had tea and coffee in the room. Once we were all bathed or showered it was straight to Walmart for supplies.

We bought wine, beer, cheesecake, cornflakes and milk and a few other bits and pieces. Back to the hotel to offload the shopping then we were off to Animal Kingdom.

We did quite a few rides, ate at Rainforest cafe and watched the Lion King show. Heres some more photos!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020011.jpg

On the way home we stopped off at Downtown Disney so I could get my annual "fix" of ornaments from the xmas shop. Quite a disapointing shop for me this year though - I usually spend about $400 in this shop - this year I could only manage to spend $75:eek: - I either had the ornament already or didnt like the new stuff. I might add at this point that this made my hubby a very happy man for several reasons - 1. He didnt have to pay for them all, 2. He didnt have to carry them all, 3. He didnt have to throw away as many clothes to get them in the suitcase to go home.:rolleyes1:

Heres some photos he took while I was shopping.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020031.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020033.jpg

We went straight to TGI Front Row and had dinner and a well earned pitcher of beer. Geez - it was sooooo noisy in there - some game was on and from the sound of the crowd in the bar they were doing well:confused3 - can you tell I dont know the rules for your games:lmao: - heck! - I dont know the rules for our sports either:confused3

We were all tired at this point so it was back to the hotel for cheesecake and wine/beer/chocolate milk and we were asleep by 9pm - jet lag:rolleyes:

Thats all for now folks..... tune in for the next intstallment soon.
Hope it hasnt been too boring:rolleyes1

Day 3 - Monday 15th

Once again we were up early - 5.45am. After a relaxing brekkie in the room we headed off to Blizzard Beach. We got there for opening. After riding the family raft ride about 5 times I settled down on a sunlounger while Neil took Ellis to the kiddie area, then we all drifted round the lazy river.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020019.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020020.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020026.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020023.jpg

We left at 12.30 and headed to Premium Outlet mall.....I wont go into everything I bought, but lets just say I made up for the disapointing xmas ornament shop;) .

We went back to the hotel and rested. Today we had reservations for Le Cellier at 4.30pm, but no-one felt like going, so we didnt bother. I was miffed that I didnt get to try the cheese soup that I had heard so much about, but more on that later.

We ended up eating later at Black Angus steak house - I had my usual filet mignon - delicious! And their sweet bread - oh my god! - I could eat 100loaves of it. We headed home and had cheesecake and wine in bed. Luxury!

Day 4 - Tuesday 16th October

Ok, did I mention this report is more like a photo trippie? Not much typing just loads of photos? - No?...ok...I'll mention it now....prepare yourself for photos:rolleyes1 ...lots of photos:rolleyes1 ...

Today started off badly:sad2: - Tonight we were going to MNSHHP for the very first time.:yay: We were all looking forward to it.:yay: Ellis was getting dressed up as a pirate and we all had our trick or treat bags waiting to be filled.

We were getting ready to head to Magic Kingdom when Neil asked me where the MNSHHP tickets were............................erm............... ..................

:scared1: - Holy cow!.........they were back in England:scared1:

Yep! - I'd forgot to pack them:sad:

As a desperate measure I decided to head to DTD to guest services to see if they could help me. I didnt hold up much hope - I didnt even have the serial number off the back of them or anything. I had bought them off the disney website months ago and had put them somewhere "safe".....they are so "safe" I still havent found them and we've been home 2 days:rolleyes1

Anyway, a lovely lady at guest services simply printed me off new tickets once I had explained what I had done.

Isnt that brilliant! Just like that!...Hey presto! - new tickets!:yay: - to say I was chuffed would be a major understatement:woohoo:

Phew! - panic over....after all that stress I needed to shop so we did a bit in DTD and then went to LBV mall.

AFTER A FEW HOURS OF RETAIL THERAPY.... back to the hotel. I had a long bubble bath while Neil took Ellis to the hotel pool.

All ready for MNSHHP by 5pm so off we went - tickets safely in Neils wallet:rolleyes1

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020068.jpg

We had a great time. It wasnt too busy, the candy lines were short and I managed to get the cd's that 2 fellow cruisers wanted - (Hi Cheryl and Lindy Loo:wave2: - hope you're not still humming that "Boo to you" tune:rotfl: )

We got a great spot for the parade. Right near the front behind a kid in a buggy...fab:thumbsup2 ...or it was until right before the parade started and the parents decided to buy the kid a huge balloon and tie it to the handle right in front of my face:rolleyes: ...I sooooooo wished I had a pin that night:rolleyes1

The parade was brilliant (what I saw of it) and then we made our way out of the park and back to the room for more cheesecake.

Tomorrow - an early start:scared:

Day 5 - Wednesday 17th October.

The day of meetings!

Today was a great day:cool1: - I met a freind off the Dibb and then loads of friends of the Dis too!

We had an early start - I had a Keys to the Kingdom tour booked with a friend off the Dibb and had to be at the Magic Kingdom by 8.30am so we were up about 6am.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020244.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020246.jpg

We dont often get to the parks that early - there was hardly anyone about - the place was empty

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020252.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020248.jpg

Heres Bev - my Dibb friend.
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020256.jpg

The tour was great - I wont go into too many details so as not to spoil it for anyone doing it but it was well worth the money and 5 hours of fun.

I met Neil and Ellis afterwards at 2pm as planned and we did some rides together. It was really quiet in the parks - most rides had no wait!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020317.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020320.jpg

The updated pirates is brilliant

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020267.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020276.jpg

Just a bit of info I learned on the tour - the person who carved the head for the Jack Sparrow is the student of the guy who did the Walt and Mickey sculpture in the centre of MK infront of the castle (see photo of Ellis above).

And then we watched the parade

We then caught the disney bus to Martha's vineyard in the Beach club resort for our 2nd meeting of the day.

It was great:banana: - I must say I was a bit nervous about meeting everyone but I needn't have worried - they were all lovely and welcoming and we were soon chatting like old friends.

Let me introduce you to some more of our group - we call ourselves the Konked Koolers -

There was Cass and Rob - it was their wedding anniversary that day
There was Brenda and Jason - it was Brenda's birthday too
then we arrived,
then Chris, Hazel,Jess, Ryan and Rosie arrived too.

We all had a great time........and then another guest arrived............

Yes! - Planky!

Brenda pulled him out of her bag - I think I squealed with delight:rolleyes1 - sad I know but I had been looking forward to being his auntie for ages and when he wasnt there at the start I thought Brenda may have changed her mind. I think Cass may even have taken a photo of me with my arms out ready to grab him:rolleyes1

Heres a group shot of us all

and heres a shot of Planky's Mom and Dad
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020323.jpg

and here once again, now in the correct place - the "handover" photo.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020321.jpg

Does Brenda look nervous? Maybe she had every right to be if you had seen some of the things people were posting on our thread about what they intended doing to poor little Planky:scared1: - have no fear Brenda - Auntie Karen is very protective over her Nephew Planky:goodvibes

More to come folks....just need to start a new post for some more photos

Ok, where was I?

Oh yes...we were all in Martha's vineyard.........

the story continues..........

We chatted for a while longer then Cass and Rob had to leave - tickets to Blue Man group.

Then Ellis got tired so we had to leave too, so we all said our goodbyes and I left with Planky safely in my bag:woohoo:

Ellis was really worn out by now so we decided he would grab him some quick food and head back to the room.

Now,..........have I mentioned yet that Brenda is a real foodie? - you all know that already if you've read her trippies (if you havent read them.. why not?..they're waaaaaaaaaaaay better than this one:lmao: !)

Anyway, that night she was heading off to the french restaurant to celebrate her birthday with Jason. We were wondering if Planky was also into his fine dining?:scratchin

Just to be on the safe side we thought we'd better take him somewhere REALLY SPECIAL for his first night with us, so we took him to

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020328.jpg

DRIVE THRU McDONALDS:lmao: :lmao:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020327.jpg

hey Brenda! - fine dining for us too!:lmao:

The queue was long, so Planky occupied himself by taking the car for a spin round the block

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020324.jpg

Ellis couldnt wait for dinner any longer and fell straight to sleep in the car

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020330.jpg

Lucky for Planky! - he got to eat Ellis's too!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020332.jpg

Earlier in the week we had been to Animal Kingdom and had a go on the fair stalls....do you know the one I mean? - you roll a ball into a hole and the horse/camel/whatever moves along....anyway I won first prize and this is what I won....... Planky and he got on like old friends

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020334.jpg

That is until dessert arrived and then Planky ate the lot and wouldnt share

5 slices, all washed down with a nice cold beer.

Well, we were all tired, so once we'd prized the spoon off Planky we had a slice each too and then we all went to bed.

Tomorrow - Planky goes shopping, then to MGM!

Hi Auntie Karen! Your group shot turned out better than ours did, although we have a lovely picture of you and your family (and that scoundrel, Plankton). I'll post it here later tonight if you don't mind.

We had a great time meeting up with you that evening ...

PS. Plankton seems to like traveling... he's still not home. :rotfl2:

Post away! - thanks for reading Brenda:hug: - Planky should be with you soon...he was enjoying spending time with Auntie Goose!

I'm so jealous! It looks like y'all had a great time. Now that we are home, I regret not pulling my kids out more days of school and meet up with y'all too. That double dip is looking better and better, huh? After this past week of weather, though, Chris and Hazel may not ever want to be on a ship again!

Keep the pics coming, Karen. Your trippie is great!:thumbsup2

Double dip (KK2;) ) sounds great to us!

They should be back soon - they fly back straight after they get off. I hope he'll be on to tell us all about it.

Plankton loves fine dining and drinking ... but he's a lot like his mommy in that a greasy cheesburger and extra salty fries sure taste good sometimes, too!

One of his (and mine) all-time favorites is Friday night pizza and beer. :thumbsup2

Alright ... I'm going to get some work done now. :guilty:

DRIVE THRU McDONALDS:lmao: :lmao:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020327.jpg

hey Brenda! - fine dining for us too!:lmao:

The queue was long, so Planky occupied himself by taking the car for a spin round the block

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020324.jpg

Ellis couldnt wait for dinner any longer and fell straight to sleep in the car

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020330.jpg

Lucky for Planky! - he got to eat Ellis's too!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020332.jpg

Earlier in the week we had been to Animal Kingdom and had a go on the fair stalls....do you know the one I mean? - you roll a ball into a hole and the horse/camel/whatever moves along....anyway I won first prize and this is what I won....... Planky and he got on like old friends

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020334.jpg

Day 6 - Thursday 18th October

Shopping then MGM

We woke up to find Planky staring out the window

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020339.jpg

He commented it wasnt a very good view then got dressed ready for Animal Kingdom

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020340.jpg

Sorry little guy....been there already, today is shopping and MGM

after a quick rummage through his suitcase

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020348.jpg

he found his MGM outfit

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020342-1.jpg

or should he ditch the hat and go with the autograph book and balloon?

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020347.jpg

Decisions, decisions:lmao:

We finally got to Florida mall. We shopped til we couldnt carry any more (dont ya just luv the dollar being two to the pound£....erm....actually most of you probably dont:rolleyes1 )

Once again it was fine dining for us ....in the food court:goodvibes, then we took the shopping back to the room

Planky did rather well for shopping himself!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020336.jpg

Then we were off to MGM.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020356.jpg

It was a quick bag check and Planky was frisked:scared1:

I think I made this mans day! - I asked him if he minded me taking a photo - I dont think anyone has ever asked him before - he was so chuffed to be asked!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020357.jpg

Thats all for now folks...

I'm off to download MGM photos to photobucket - tune in later for Planky's Sci-fi adventure.:goodvibes

We got through the turnstiles

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020358.jpg

then headed to Rock n Roller coaster

I tried to tell Planky he didnt need his own red guitar and that he would NOT be able to jam with the band, but he insisted.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020362.jpg

Yet again Planky ordered himself a pint. He didnt even need I.D.!
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020365.jpg

After dinner we headed for Tower of Terror. Only a 10 minute wait. Now forgive me trippie readers, but I would not let Planky ride......... - I soooo wanted to get a photo of me holding Planky as we dropped but I was too scared incase I let go:scared: that I chickened out, so he stayed tucked up safely in my bag. (Brenda breathes a sigh of relief)

then we did Fantasmic. We didnt arrive til 7.40 and there were still seats!:scared1:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020391.jpg

Then we headed back to the hotel and went straight to bed.

We went on Test Track

Heres Planky in the queue

Then we did the living seas - he was hoping to find some of his friends but we didnt spot anyone he knew

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020413.jpg

Then Ellis and Planky got eaten by a shark named Bruce

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020419.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020420.jpg

Now, do any of you remember we had dinner reservations for Le Cellier but didnt go and I was sulking over not getting the soup? Well, you can get it from a stall outside *** of the Food and Wine festival - yippppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:yay: I thought...........

SATURDAY 20TH OCTOBER

AKA - Cruise day!:yay:

OK, the day we've all been waiting for - cruise day:yay:

I was awake most of the night gazing at the clock til it got to a reasonable time and I could start waking Neil and Ellis.

I ran my bath, made coffee and tea, had my cheesecake for brekkie and woke up the lazybones.

Once bathed and showered we packed the remaining toiletries etc and Neil did the run down to the car with the luggage.

We said goodbye to the hotel room and checked out.

Straight into the car and a quick stop at Walgreans for some throat stuff for Ellis - he had lost his voice the last couple of days - no pain or discomfort or anything but we didnt want to take any chances, so we bought one of everything off the "throat" shelf and quickly back to the car.

Petrol next:rolleyes: ....why oh why do we have to fill up today:confused3 - couldnt Neil see I was almost bursting to get on the road to the port:confused3

Ok, petrol sorted we FINALLY head off on the right road - only 30 minutes behind schedule. With a bit of nifty foot work on the gas pedal we nearly made that up on the journey down. ;)

Uneventful journey.....until we got to the bridge near the port........

I squealed, I squealed and then I squealed some more.....there it was!

I could see it:yay:

Camera ready I took about 50 shots as we got nearer and nearer.

Oh geez you're all thinking...50 photos of a ship getting bigger in each one - great:rolleyes:

Dont worry -

I'll just post one:goodvibes

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020426.jpg

FOR NOW:lmao:

We got to port and Neil pulled up at the kerbside to drop us and the luggage off.

First people we see - KK'ers! - AFEG - Chris and co.
Next people we see - more KK'ers - Cass and co!
Then I spot Nancy's hubby Chuck -another KK'er!

I kid you not - the first bunch of people I saw were all KK'ers.

We handed the 2 cases and rolling cooler to a porter, tipped him well to make sure they didnt get lost, and then Neil was directed to the car park while I took Ellis into the terminal.

We go through bag check and up the escalator. Right at the top theres a lady waving with Mickey hands. I wish I had my camera ready to snap Ellis's reaction, but alas I didnt. I bet mine was equally daft:rolleyes1

By this point I'm scanning crowds looking for green bracelets and KK tshirts.

So is Ellis.....every 30 seconds he's pulling at my t shirt shouting "look mom! another KK'er!"

We go to the desk and they check our paperwork and tell us to join a rather long queue. I mention that I'm English and I thought I had to join a different queue but she said no, I'd be fine in that one. Neil re-appears and joins me in the queue.

Just at that point I spot Heather at a different desk checking in. She's at the desk for Non-USA.

Then as if by magic Jeff appears! our table mate! The Non USA desk is empty so Jeff asks if we can check in and she says yes!

We duck out of the other queue and check in really quickly. I'd done most of it online so it was really speedy and she hands us boarding card number 7:rolleyes: .....7?........7?................I wanted number 2:sad1: ...oh well,...... 7 it is then:rolleyes:

All I can think is "if we hadnt stopped for petrol.... "

Jeff asks us what number we got and I reply "7". He replies "No you're not ...you're a number 2!:yay: " and pulls out a spare number 2 card.:yay:

Now let me just pause for a moment and tell you about Jeff.....He knows more than anyone I know about the cruise...he was my very own walking talking travel guide:hug:

Even before the cruise he oganised my Palo rezzies, my dining rotation, and loads of other tips for which I'm eternally grateful. If it hadnt been for him I'd have missed out on half of the things onboard, so here's a great big thank you to Jeff

THANK YOU TABLE MATE:hug:

Ok, mushyness over.....back to the story....

We left the queue and from then on it was KK MADNESS!

Let me explain.....

Jeff had organised us all to wear green rubber bracelets so we could recognise each other....Cass had made us a fab logo for us to print and make t shirts...half the terminal had green bracelets and KK T shirts on:lmao: - wow! - It was brilliant!...people were turning up every 30 seconds introducing themselves..... (I'm bad with names but I think I did ok on the day - did I KK'ers?)

It was hugs all round for everybody - what a fab start to the cruise.:yay: It was great to finally meet people I had been chatting to online for so long.

Then I had chance to take a few photos

Of the ship in the terminal

Of Mickey

Of the ears doorway

they'll be on the next post - I've run out of room for photos

Did I tell you that I didn't get one decent piece of cheesecake the whole holiday. Have to recify that in August.

Re-cap - We've just got onboard and had our photo taken...

we then head to Parrot Cay for lunch

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020460.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020459.jpg

I must say this was a lovely respite from the overwhelming excitement..I actually took a breathe and chilled for about a minute. The buffet was lovely and we sat and relaxed for a few minutes.

Then, of course, excitement took over again and we went to explore the ship a bit and find the kids club and check Ellis in....I had done most of it online, so it was just a matter of sorting out his medication with them, talking through their procedure for allergies etc and getting it all labelled and then getting the pager. I felt totally comfortable with Ellis being in there.
We spent a bit of time in there and Ellis checked it out and then it was almost time to go to our cabin!

Our cabin!...sorry! - stateroom!:rolleyes1

It was ready just after 1.30pm.....so in we went!....

Just as we were going in we met our room host - he asked how many bags we had and then went and found them - we had our luggage within minutes! -now thats what I call service! I had heard of people not getting their bags til 6pm etc so I was really pleased ours had come early.

So in we went....

The first thing we saw was a lovely cheese and fruit platter and a bottle of red wine! Heres the cards that came with it. It actually reads "Blankton":lmao:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020476.jpg

Courtesy of Planky! (Well....Planky's Mom and Dad) - thank you so much Brenda and Jason - it was very kind of you, totally unsnecessary but very much appreciated.....and absolutely delicious! - you know I adore cheese - especially the mouldy stuff - I stuffed it in like I hadnt even been to Parrot Cay:rotfl2:

We took some shots of our room before we started unpacking ........ it would never look this tidy again:rolleyes1

and then I started unpacking....we had bought loads of stuff...too much....but somehow it all fitted into our little cat 11 no problem at all. For 2 adults and a young child a cat 11 is absolutely fine and big enough:thumbsup2

I managed to finish unpacking and have time for a glass of wine and more cheese..........

..........And then it was time for the KK Official Meet - 3pm by the Mickey Pool.

Next episode - meet the KK'ers:banana:

Thanks for the great pics, Karen! Jason and I are really getting a kick out of seeing them all - it's so nice to be able to see everyone having such a great time.

BTW, is it wrong for me to plug my own newest food report for those people who want to see what Plankton was up to before he joined you? We've got some pretty funny pictures going if I do say so myself. Just let me know ... I can always plug shamelessly somewhere else... don't want to take away from your fun.

Looking forward to more!

Also ...

I'm glad you liked the cheese platter but I'm verrry disappointed. That's nothing like what I expected it to be based on the one we had a few years back - I guess DCL really is cheapening things up.

And ... that was not the message that was supposed to be on your card. I asked the CM when I placed the order if the message I dictated would be included and she promised me it would.

Bah!

It was supposed to say: Those two cretins I live with made me send you this as a "thank you." Hope you don't choke on it.

Our food was great and the company even better.

The show tonight was "All aboard - let the magic begin" - it was great!. We then headed back to the room - Ellis went to bed and we had more wine, beer and cheese and studied the Navigator for tomorrows events.

Hello everyone! I'm one of Plankton's demented "owners." If you enjoy seeing / reading about his adventures, or if you just like good food and drink, please come over to our food review thread. It's a fun time with lots of good humored DISers and you'll have a chance to see what Planky was up to before he joined Karen's family.

Here's the link:

Sunday 21st October - A.K.A KEY WEST

We awoke after a lovely nights sleep - I liked being rocked to sleep by the boat.

Neil took Ellis to Topsiders to get him some brekkie while I showered and got ready - we were off to Palo for brunch with Jeff and Suz!

Here we all are

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020520-1.jpg

Heres my very own travel guide - AKA Jeff!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020518.jpg

and his lovely wife Suz

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020516.jpg

Neil

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020517.jpg

and me!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020519.jpg

The food was excellent - I cant remember much of the menu, but I remember the grape and cheese pizza - oh my god! - georgous!!!! - you've gotta try it.
There were also lots of seafood dishes:scared: -ewk - dead bodies on a plate - not my kinda thing but the others were happy to chomp away.

It was a great start to the day and we watched from Palo as we pulled into Key West.

Other KK'ers were in there too - Rose and Bob, Paige and Rob, Linda and Wayne - quite a mini meet!

We fetched Ellis from the kids club, got changed and headed off ship to Key West -

I can describe Key West in one word that day

hot!

I was melting as soon as I got off the ship.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020521.jpg

We walked to the Pirate Soul Museum

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020528.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020529.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020526.jpg

bought a couple of t shirts and then headed to Southern Most Point ....on foot:scared1: Yeah - I can hear you all laughing.... I thought I had read you could walk it:rolleyes: - well, yeah! - you can ...but you'll be nearly dead by the time you get there.

We walked, ................and came across the Blond Giraffe - time for pie I thought!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020530.jpg

It was ok, quite nice, wouldnt give it more than 7 out of 10, and then carried on our journey........our loooooooooooong journey to Southern Most Point.

We met some KK'ers - Jen and Pete - we asked them if we were almost there - they said about half way.............half way - holy cow!:scared1: - whose stupid idea was this to walk - a nice little trolley thing drove past us at this point and my evil stare at Neil got deeper and more evil. Note to self - What ever you do - DONT LET A MAN WHO HAS HAD ABSOLUTELY NO INPUT INTO PLANNING THIS TRIP EVER CONVINCE YOU TO WALK TO SOUTHERN MOST POINT.

We plodded on...Ellis had now refused to carry on walking so as punishment Neil got to carry him the rest of the way. We plodded, plodded and then plodded some more and we finally came across some stupid stripey barrel like thingy - we had arrived:rolleyes: - we queued in the heat, had a couple of photos taken

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1030323.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1030322.jpg

then caught a cab back to the shops and bars near the ship.

We had a beer in Hogs Breathe - Elllis took a photo of a hogs backside!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020540.jpg

and then shopped some more. We found a 2gb sd card, some colour changing t shirts, socks for Neil - (i had forgotten to pack any:lmao:) and then wandered slowly back to the ship.

Here she is - waiting patiently in the sunshine.
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020524.jpg

This sign was a very welcome sight.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020522.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1030328.jpg

We quickly got changed into our cozzies and headed up to the Goofy pool to cool off.

Back to the stateroom then to get ready for dinner - Lumieres tonight.
Once again - lovely food, (double portions of some) and great service.

After dinner Ellis went into the kids club and Neil and I went to watch the show - a ventriloquist - brilliant!

After the show we called in on Ellis but he didnt want to leave the kids club so we made full speed ahead to Rockin Bar D. We watched a juggler guy - funny - had a few drinks and then collected Ellis and went to bed.

Side note - Dis Tag -

I dont think I have mentioned DisTag yet have I?

Forgive me...I'll explain -

20 of us KK'ers decided it would be fun to play DisTag - you make 19 little bags of goodies and one by one, (each time you get a goodie bag) you deliver them to the other people playing...It was excellent fun - really great to go back to your room to find a goodie bag waiting on your fish

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020579.jpg

While I'm at it I may as well show you the door too!

Monday 22nd October - AKA Sea Day

We didnt wake up til 8.30am! - wow! - I really do like the rocking of the ship!

We quickly got ready and headed to Topsiders for brekkie.

We ate outside and then back to the room to change into our KK t shirts - why?

We had a

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020554.jpg to attend

I wore my special "sresuirK deknoK" t shirt (thanks again Nancy), but I cant believe I didnt get a photo of the back of it:sad2:

He we all are - there are a few missing but a lot of us made it to the "photo shoot".

Today was Wine Tasting:banana:

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020556.jpg

Planky was looking forward to it

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020557.jpg

Heres some of the group

Carrie "I'm too busy fixing my camera to listen"

Victoria - "I'll listen but I know it all anyway" :)

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020559.jpg

Sean - "ewk! - this tastes wierd"

Kath - "I wish he'd shut up so I can drink the stuff"

Wayne - "I wish this was beer"

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020560.jpg

Steve - "Wait...wait - I know the answer to this one.."

Lindy - "I wonder if Wayne will notice if I steal his wine"

Pete - "Geez...does that woman ever stop taking photos?"

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020561.jpg

He then did something impressive and popped the cork
http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020565.jpg

Now prepare yourself for a hideous photo

I look like I've had 6 bottles not 6 small glasses

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020566.jpg

and here's Planky - every glass empty!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020567.jpg

and this is one of my favourite photos

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020568.jpg.

The wine tasting was fun, I think we all enjoyed it and for $12 it was great value - we even got a little pin!

We chatted for a while after the wine tasting then we took some photos,

got changed and went to the adult pool

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020586.jpg

Loads of KK'ers were there and more joined us later - in the end there was a big bunch of us - all child-free and sipping cocktails - what a great life!

We stayed there quite a while but then I had to leave - I had a date with a Mad Hatter!

doesnt he look cute! - I absolutely adore this photo

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020604.jpg

and Planky finally made it to Animators Palace and made a big entrance

and then the walls started changing colour

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020609.jpg

The food, service and show were great.

After dinner we had 5 more doors to tag then we took Ellis to the kids club. He didnt want to see the evening show so Neil and I watched the Golden Mickeys together.

Then it was back to Rockin Bar D to watch the adult version of the ventriloquist - oh geez! - he was soooo funny. A really "must see" show.

We collected a protesting Ellis from the kids club and went to bed. The clocks went back an hour tonight - yipeeeeeeeeee! - an extra hour in bed!

We placed an order for brekkie room service on our door handle and went to sleep dreaming of the fun we'd had so far.

She is lovely isn't she? But, you have to wonder about her DH. :lmao:

It was ok, quite nice, wouldnt give it more than 7 out of 10, and then carried on our journey........our loooooooooooong journey to Southern Most Point.

Karen and Paige, we did the same thing. A local even gave us a "Short-cut" which gave us a tour through some rather scarey neighborhoods of KW. We were assured that the SMP was only 9/10 of a mile. After we were half way through Tony notified us that we still had 11 more blocks to walk! My kids were so ticked off that once we got there, I didn't have the heart to make them wait in the line which was now almost a block long for the obligitory picture. Instead we have a picture of two complete strangers standing there. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

then caught a cab back to the shops and bars near the ship.

We walked back!! :scared1:

Karen, I have to confess. I cannot take credit for "making" your magnets. I schmoozed to the right people and they designed them for me. All I did was print them out and bring them along. (You should've seen the one's I made. You would've thought that I hated you instead of the opposite).

Tuesday 23rd October - AKA Grand Cayman day!

Woke up this morning and couldnt believe it was day 4 already:eek: - where did the days go??? Its flying by too quickly...much too quickly:sad2:

No time to dwell on that for too long ..it was brekkie time!!!

A phone call to check we were awake and then a knock on the door and in came two trays of brekkie - room service - you just cant beat it!

We met for our tender in Rockin Bar D, got a sticker to say which tour we were doing , grabbed some towels and we were off to the tender.

It was pouring with rain

Rain?

Rain????

Rain??????????????

I did NOT order rain

We got on the tender for the couple of minutes ride then we had a tiny walk to the pirate ship - I think Ellis was a little excited - he literally jumped for joy

they got the kids scrubbing the decks

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020659.jpg

and then threw buckets of water on them

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020660.jpg

The main pirate picked on Ellis and Logan first

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020656.jpg

Logan was quick to get his own back

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020676.jpg

It was fun for the kids, they picked on one Dad and soaked him with water too. There was punch onboard to drink and we got to fire cannons at the Magic too, then jump in and have a quick swim before we sailed back to shore

A happy...no, correction a VERY happy Suz....she likey pirates too

Neil was so jealous he threw himself overboard

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020682.jpg

and then Ellis got in afterwards

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020685.jpg

I thought this was a really cute picture of the boys Ellis, Logan and Shane

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020688.jpg

Back to the pictures of your Outlet mall purchases. Way to go! We have driven by the Outlet Malls several times. DH always seems to drive faster and locks the doors as we go past. We always have a good shop in the malls - everything is sooooo much cheaper than in England so I tend to take and wear clothes I'm bored with or that Ellis is growing out of, dump them after we've worn them and replace them with new stuff.
Make sure you go next time.

The pirate museum was in Key West not Nassau so cant help with directions to the one in Nassau - sorry!

The wine tasting was organised by a couple of other KK'ers. I think they just contacted Disney and said we had a large group interested and it ended up as our own private function, if there is just a few of you though they advertise it in the navigator - just ask as guest services and book it.

The next installment will be along shortly - still uploading photos:rolleyes: - it takes forever.:sad2:

I am pleased it turned out well though - most people are actually looking at the camera - it may have something to do with the fact I yelled - "Smile - this ones for Planky", or it maybe the fact that mine was the last camera in the pile so everyone knew it would be over soon...either way I'm pleased.

The taxi came for us at 3pm - (we would have stayed there forever if she'd let us) and we headed back to the port area and browsed round some shops.

I bought yet another t shirt and yet another xmas ornament and then caught the tender back to the Magic.

We quickly got changed and had a dip in the Goofy pool then went back to the stateroom for a nice cold glass of white wine.

I had a bath (well, you know what I mean if you've tried it yourelf:rolleyes: )
and got ready for Palo wit hJeff and Suz!

We dropped Ellis off at the kids club (his 2nd home;) ) and headed up to Palo.......

Here we all are

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020716.jpg

Heres our waiter Dragan - hysterical guy with a great taste in food. His recomendations were excellent and he certainly kept us entertained by picking on Jeff most of the evening.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020718.jpg

Now, if we thought brunch was good...oh my god! - the food was amazing!

My favourites from memory were the mushroom pizza, the filet with gorgonzola sauce, the veggie risotto and chocolate souffle, although we tried so many different dishes I enjoyed almost everything. We spent 3 hours eating.......yes, Its not a typing error - I mean 3 HOURS:eek:

After Palo, Neil and I had a walk around the ship - it was desserted - everyone was either in dinner or in here

Wednesday 24th October - AKA Cozumel

Ok, remember I described Key West in one word ....hot?

I would describe Grand Cayman in one word as ...idyllic

and I would describe Cozumel in one word as

Windy!!!!!!!!!:scared1:

Holy cow! - lets just say my hair was sideways:scared1:

Forgive me, I'll start again properly.

I got up early the next morning and left Neil and Ellis snoring. I headed up onto deck 9 and grabbed myself a cup of tea and had a walk around. Not many people about so I took some photos of a near empty ship.

It was very windy on deck.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020737.jpg

I enjoyed the peacefulness and then grabbed another tea and coffee and went to wake them up.

They got dressed and we grabbed some brekkie from Topsiders and then went back to the room to get some distag bags ready to deliver.

After a trip to nearly every floor delivering bags we got ready and headed off the ship.

Heres Ellis by the gangplank where they swipe you in and out

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020738.jpg

and here he is 2 minutes later

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020740.jpg

Doesnt the other ship look UGLY:scared: compared to the lovely Magic.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020741.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020745.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020746.jpg

Most of the day trips had been cancelled due to the weather, we had just intended going to the beach, so that was out of the question aswell. The wind was so bad it actually took my breathe away.

We had a wander round a little mall but it was mostly silver jewellery shops that all had exactly the same stock.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020750.jpg

We watched some dancers and musicians for a while

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020748.jpg

then after a short while we headed back to the ship....so that was Cozumel! - over in a few minutes and very windy.

We got back onboard and had some lunch from Goofys Galley and some icecream for dessert. The sun came out then so Ellis played in the mickey pool and on the slide.

Now, we couldnt find Plankton when we went back to change into our swimsuits earlier - he was not in the room and the room host hadnt seen him either:confused3

Where could he be:confused3

Neil and I were sitting happily watching Ellis play in the pool when we heard a big commotion on the other side of the pool....

we could hear people gasping in horror and we overheard comments such as "Its disgusting" and "Oh my!...not on a family ship" and "it might be better if it wasnt so green" etc etc...we headed over to see what all the fuss was about.............

Ellis got pirate blood for his dinner (ok, ok its just ketchup)

I'm not good at travelling either - I have a blance issue with my ears and I was quiet worried about the cruise, but I was absolutely fine. The seas were calm most of the time, but even on the night it was choppy I was still ok.

You could always try a 3 day one to see how you were on it. Trust me its a brilliant holiday.

Heres a photo of Ellis, Planky and Elouise on pirate night - I couldnt fit it on the other post

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/DSCF0968.jpg

So where were we?

We were in the room with the towel monkey and Planky....

They chatted a while and perused the menu

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020810.jpg

and then we headed up to deck 9 for pirate party!

The ship was rocky tonight - half the pool was on deck as it sloshed over the side and it was very windy.

Heres the buffet

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020811.jpg

I have no idea if it was good or not *** I didnt get chance to try it.

Now, just as a sidebar here I feel it necessary to yell out a HUGE warning to all other ladies who decide to wear their pirate type skirts up to deck 10 - DONT!

All I can do is apologise to the poor guy who was following me up the steps to deck 10 and got an awful and unexpected view as my skirt literally lifted almost over my head and displayed my butt :scared1:

I grabbed the material as fast as I could and made a hasty retreat back down the stairs. I got my keycard and ran back to the room where I quickly got changed into 3/4 trousers - a much more sensible option.

The show started

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020814.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020815.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020820.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1020821.jpg

The party was good, I got a great spot on deck 10 right opposite the jumbotron and out of the crush of the crowd on deck 9.

The fireworks were great but my camera wasnt co-operating so you'll just have to take my word on it.

Ellis was really tired tonight so Neil and I took it in turns to pick him up, but once the show was over we headed back to the room so he could get an early night.

It was a shame, I was in the mood for a dance (and that never happens!) but theres always next time right:thumbsup2

We got to bed at 12.15 and Ellis was asleep by 12.20.

Totally out of sequence, but I thought I'd post 2 more shots of Hell. Its the Post office - I forgot to include them in Hell day:rolleyes1

Thursday 25th October - aka 2nd "at sea day"

Today was a lazy start...late brekkie in topsiders then we strolled onto deck 9.

It was cloudy so we just had a stroll and bumped straight into Jeff, Suz and Logan! They invited us to pull up a chair so we did.! (I hope you meant it Jeff, and you didnt really think "Keep walking god dammit, keep walking":rolleyes1

Ellis and Logan played table tennis for a while and then went into the pool.

The "adults" (I use that term loosely:rotfl2: ) sat around chatting and drinking coffee and tea.

Suz then offered to take me to Cove Cafe - I hadnt been there yet but I'd heard a lot about it!

We raided the cake display and stole 6 chocolate eclairs.....We were about to take them back and share with the men when we spotted 2 lovely squashy comfortable chairs, so of course we sat down and ate 4 of the eclairs:rolleyes1

We took the men back an eclair each - arent we generous:goodvibes

Jeff and Neil had the seafood buffet from Topsiders:scared: - eating bodies again.

Other KK'ers strolled past and stopped to chat and before we knew it it was time to go back to the stateroom.

We took Ellis to the kids club - it was graduation night tonight, and then we packed a suitcase:sad1: .....we're packing already:sad:

and then we got ready for semi formal night.

Neil and I had our photographs taken in the lobby and then joined a queue..............a queue for what I hear you ask........

A queue to RE-BOOK:cool1: :cool1:

YEAH BABY! - WE'RE COMING BACK:yay: :yay:

Behind us in the queue was KK'er and our thread starter Steve and his son Stuart. Stuart was showing us his magic trick - it was great Stuart - well done!:thumbsup2

We rebooked a dummy date, got our 10% off and $200 dollar room credit:cool1: and then headed straight for the theatre to watch the graduation.

It was a lovely show - the kids got a grey Disney t shirt and a set of Mickey ears mortar board hat too.

Heres Mickey on stage with the kids

Was he left in the room all forgotten and lonely????

Was he out partying with chicks he'd met from his "Borat outfit" afternoon?

Was he in the room having a party with a towel floozy?

No! he was graduating too!

Friday 26th October - aka Castaway Cay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was the day!:yay:

Castaway Cay day!:yay:

Disneys own island!:yay:

We woke up and Neil fetched some cereal etc from Topsiders for brekkie. For some reason Ellis refused to eat brekkie and got in a real mood about it.

Of all the days to have a mood - today was not one of them:rolleyes:

After a lot of moaning and shouting we finally got to the gangplank and grabbed some towels. None of us were in a great frame of mind at this point. :(

I had wanted to get on deck and watch the ship dock, but never mind:rolleyes: , we had finally got off the ship.

Just then we bumped into Nancy...after a quick chat we spotted Chip and Dale so we headed off to get our photos took. This put all us in a better mood and we were fine from then on. Kids eh!

We grabbed 4 sunbeds :beach: on the waters edge and settled down to have some fun.

We were just about to put Ellis in the kids club when Jeff came along - they'd been "sting ray-ing" in the morning and so we'd grabbed them two beds - they'd done the same for us elsewhere:rotfl2:

Jeff said Ellis could go back with him and play with Logan (thanks for babysitting Jeff and Suz) so off they went and Neil and I went on our way to parasail:scared1:

I've never done it before and was a bit nervous.

We had our little safety talk and were told due to the wind we would have to go in tandem - yipeeeeeeeee - I didnt have to do it on my own!!!!!!!!

We got in our boat - Sean, Cath and Olivia, Carrie and Scott were in our group. We set off and Cath was soon flying first.

Then it was Olivia and Seans turn and then ours:scared1:

I have no photos *** they were all on our waterproof camera and its not developed yet - sorry!

It was great fun and quite peaceful once you're up, and not scarey coming back in either. Then it was Carrie and Scott's turn.

Once we had all had a go we headed back - oh my god! - talk about bumpy! - It was "cling on for dear life" time as we bounced our way over the sea back to the dock.

It was good and worth the money.:thumbsup2

While we were gone Suz had taken the boys to make a giant sandcastle

and then Jeff and Suz moved sunbeds over to where we were.

We met them just in time for lunch when the heavens opened and the rain came down ---fast!

We didnt care!

We ate our lunch at Cookies and the sun came back out.

We made our way back to the beach and chatted to Paige, Cheryl and Lindyloo (Hi ladies!:wave2: ) and then it was time to go back and smash up the castle.

Absolutely not!

He didnt fancy parasailing - he's too light, so he chose to go diving with Nancy and co.

Thanks for the bucket Cheryl!

Then Planky went back to our stateroom and packed his suitcase

We said goodbye to Planky - it was hugs and kisses all round - I was gonna miss that little guy and Neil took him to Auntie Goose - aka Nancy where he was spending his last night onboard.

dropped Ellis into the club, got the cases out into the corridor ready, went to the shop and bought a few more things, picked up photos from shutters, met Jeff and Suz in in Sessions for our last drinks together:sad1:. Neil had put our disney park passesd "somewhere safe" (just like I did with the Halloween passes - still havent found them by the way!) and we could not find them anywhere in the cabin. Also with the passes was the photopass with all our photos on it from the previous week. I was determined not to cry or let it spoil our last day. I knew Neil felt awful about it but we were just hoping they had got packed by mistake.

We fetched Ellis from kids club and returned the pager, watched the farewell show in the lobby

Berkkie opened at Parrot Cay and in we went. Considering it was realy early and we were departing I was still in a really good mood. I ordered the full works for brekkie but Neil just had cereal and toast and so did Ellis.

Heres Shane with his lovely present for Ellis - thank you Shane:hug:

It was raining as we took our last shots of the Magic

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g41/kjmason/P1030035.jpg

The drive back to Orlando was uneventful. We first called in at Ron Jon's and bought a few presents for our family and then drove back to Fairfield Inn, Lake Buena Vista - our home for the next 3 1/2 days.

Ellis slept the whole way back. It was too early to check in, we hadnt found our park passes, so we (once again) went to the Malls. Neil had ordered some trainers so we went to collect them from Florida Mall, then went to Belz and spent another few hundred$$$:rolleyes1. Then we went to DTD and Ellis got to build his lightsaber - a darth Maul double ended one - its enormous but luckily it comes apart to fit in the suitcase.

By now our room was ready so we checked in and unpacked.

Guess what was tucked inside one of the Navigators - yep! - the park passes and photopass. - Phew!

Neil went out to get essential supplies for our last 3 dys - wine, beer, chocolate milk and cheesecakes while I finished off unpacking.

I was almost done when the phone rang - it was Neil's parents - they had flown in that day and were popping in on their way to St Petes. They were there in 30 minutes and so we opened some wine and beer and had a nice long chat telling them all about the cruise. Ellis was really pleased to see them.

Once Nanny and Grandad had left we went to Bahama Breeze for dinner - one of my favourite restaurants. The music playing was Jimmy Buffets "Margaritaville" - we smiled at each other - it was the same cd as was playing in Key West when we'd stopped for a beer. We decided to buy the cd the next day - happy memories - its actually playing now as I type this!

We went back to the hotel, got tea and coffee from the lobby and had cheesecake in bed.

It was only 9pm but we were all exhausted and needed an early night.

Tomorrow - MGM

Actually Karen, Plankie decided to be the watch dog of all our stuff and remained quietly in his chair. Or did he? Hey! Where did our Konked Koolers go? A quick breathalizer test on the Plankster and I had my answer. He downed two Konked Koolers and got punished by being banned from the adult beach.

and then headed to the adult beach to pick up some chicks

I had intended getting a photo of the 2 of you together, but time just ran away with me onboard....I cant believe how quickly the days zipped by...we missed doing a lot of things....(hence KK2!:yay: ) and getting Ellis to bed at a semi reasonable time was also hard....we didnt want to leave Rockin Bar D and he didnt want to leave the kids club, but if we hadnt, it would have ruined the following day - he needs his sleep or he's real grotty and miserable - just like his Dad:lmao:

Sunday 29th October - aka Rain day:sad2:

Today started out very rainy....we went into Disney Quest and spent a good 3-4 hours in there! - couldnt believe the time went so quickly....It was fairly busy but plenty of things to do and of course lunch finished with some cheesecake from the Cheesecake factory outlet in there!

We went back to the hotel, did a lot of packing and then relaxed for a bit and drank some wine.

We ate at TGI's and then headed into Magic Kingdom to watch Spectro and Wishes.
Wishes is still by far my favourite display over illuminations etc. I just love it and play the cd often at home and it always brings a lump in my throat and a tar to my eye....I know - I'm soppy.

Monday 30th October - aka Magic Kingdom Day

We got up, ate the last slices of cheesecake for brekkie, showered, packed, checked out and then headed to Downtown Disney.

We were flying with Virgin and they have an offsite check in facility.

No queues for check in, bags only slighty over in weight so no excess baggage payment (phew!) and checked Ellis' onboard meal had been ordered then it was goodbye luggage - hello Magic Kingdom!

As soon as we were in the Magic Kingdom we met Mary Poppins - she was positively perfect in every way!

A Plankton sitting in the Universal Studios shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well of course I had to buy him:rolleyes1 - I had grown rather attached to Brenda's and I wanted to keep him! - Now I have my very own Planky!:yay: - he's actually Planky number 3....Brenda has the original Planky - aka Planky 1, Nancy has Planky 2 and I now have Planky 3............and if there are any other saddo's out there in Dissland who want a Planky of their own.....there are Planky 4,5,6,7,8,9 etc all yelling "buy me!" in the Universal shop at the airport...... Go on .....you know you want a Planky;)

He wasnt thrilled to be flying economy class, but we made it home without any "nut incidents".

Here's the sunrise above the clouds before we came into land

Ok, last bit of the trippie............

"Thank goodnees for that" I hear you all whisper:rolleyes1

And now for the mushy part.........

I just wanted to thank everyone of the KK'ers for making our holiday so wonderful. The WDW part was great, especially the MNSSHP, but the part we always talk about is the cruise and the lovely friends we made on there.:grouphug:

I joined the thread just over a year before the cruise, a few people were already chatting and they welcomed me as we did to the others that joined afterwards.......I must just say what a wonderful set of people we had on our thread, we supported each other through good times and bad times, and we watched our youngest KK'er grow up from a teeny tiny newborn to the beauty she is today at nearly a year old. It wasnt just a Disney chat site, it was a friends site....

I have made some lovely new friends who made our cruise the best and most magical cruise ever, so for that, KK'ers, I thank you.:grouphug:

Here come the individual thank you's

A special thank you to Jeff - my personal travel guide onboard and prior to the cruise and for organising the bracelets, his lovely wife Suz and son Logan for being our tablemates and sitting in the "nut free zone" without complaint:grouphug:

A huge hug:hug: and a thank you goes to Nancy - for my wonderful birthday present, my magnets for my door, my SRESIURK DEKNOK T shirt, for organising dis tag and all your hard work before the cruise and most importantly for being the loveliest and kindest person I've ever met.

A big thank you to Cass for organising our logo and helping me make my t shirts etc and for sharing her daughter with us all:cutie:

A big thank you to everyone who helped on the yahoo site we set up to share info

A big thank you to all the ladies who helped me with Planky's wardrobe - I couldnt have done it without your help

A big thank you to the ladies who organised the wine tasting for us all

A big thank you to Brenda for letting me borrow her Planky:hug:

Finally
A big thank you to my hubby Neil for paying for the cruise, and putting up with me:hug: and a big thank you to my munchkin, Ellis for being a good boy (most of the time:rolleyes1 ) onboard

Now, Planky has some parting shots he wanted to share with you

Here he is writing his trippie

Just wanted to say that it was an absolute pleasure meeting you and your family! I wish we could have spent more time chatting but I was busy with a little pincess :rolleyes1 princess:

Kinda sad that the report is over, Karen. It was fun to read.:thumbsup2 I enjoyed chatting with you and Suz and your husbands on the beach at CC. I wish we could have done that a little more often. I feel that way about lots of the kkers actually. The time went by too fast. It's too bad we weren't all staying on for that 2nd week--I guess in the end there wouldn't have been room for all of us to stowaway in Chris' stateroom!

And I'm with you--roll on Oct 09 KK2!!:thumbsup2

Great trippie Karen. I joined the KK group late in the game, and it was such a warm and welcoming group. Looking forward to getting to know you and everyone else more as our KK2 approaches. Thanks again for sharing, thanks for sharing to Planky (although the swimsuit was sharing a little too much):thumbsup2
