Just a quick question... once you are member of the Castaway Club are you always a member? Even if it is several years before you can cruise again? Just wondering:smooth:

I don't think there is an experiation on the card. There is, however, a window of time that you need to book your next cruise in to take advantage of the onboard credits.

I think DCL has completely underutilized the Castaway Club. It could be a great marketing tool. They do nothing with it.
I have been on 4 cruises and now have three of the same tote bag as my "returning cruiser gift." Since the number of returning cruisers has increased, the size of the on board receptions has gotten almost too big.
RCCL's program seems much more extensive.
In the entire DCL experience, its definitely the biggest minus.

I agree with gsscott8075 - I was always puzzled by DCL's underutilization of the Castaway Club database for marketing purposes. I have finally arrived at the conclusion that, due to their occupancy rates, they must not need to.
