Hi all....I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing the Christmas tree swap at the hotels again this year? We participated in one last year, and were lucky enough to have a great little tree in our room (see below). The way it worked was that people signed up, and whoever was at the hotel the earliest in the month brought/shipped a tree, and it was left at the front desks of the hotels for the next people. Then whoever was the last to have it would ship it back again to the original owner. Along with our tree, the previous people left us yummy gingerbread cookies from GF. It was a great little surprise, and made our trip even more magical. Please let me know if you are interested. This was our tree in POP last year.:santa:

We'll be at AS Sports 12/10/-12/15. Anything been organized yet? I know on the fridge swap it is on the budget board and I didn't know where to find this one (luckily the searched worked for me today).

Yea, I got bumped around, so it has been hard to organize anything. Although it looks as though a bunch of people have viewed my thread. I'll keep trying though if people are interested. It was GREAT last year!

I organized this one last year...hope you get lots of responses, nittanyliongirl. It works better with a big group. I'd join in , but I'm offsite this year, and it'd just be too complicated.
Ask a mod to make this a sticky, and it'll make it easier for people to find.

We just bought a tree like the one pictured at Walmart. The one we got is a 32 inch. Is that about the size of the one you had ?
We will be there from the 17th - 27th. I would considered letting someone(s) use ours when we leave if they like. I would just like for the last person to ship it back to us when they leave.
BUT we do live in Canada. So I don't know if anyone would want to do that.

This sounds great to me! We'll be at the Contemporary Dec 19 thru 24. Does the tree have to stay at the same resort? Do you pass along a card with the owner's address for the return? :santa:

No, it doesn't HAVE to stay at the same resort. We had ours shipped from the front desk of POP to AS Music for another family. And yes, the original tree buyers name and addy can be on a card in the box.

I'm sorry, this is probably a really stupid question. But forgive me I'm a newbie. :) What does "bumping" mean? :confused3

It just means that if the thread goes un-read for a few days, I can "bump" it up on the list so that it's found more easily.
For those of you who are interested...hang in there, I'm still working on finding others. As it works now, everyone is at a different hotel at a different time, so in all honesty...it doesn't work just yet.
