We've been there at least 7 times in the first 10 days of March over the last 10 years, spending from 7 to 11 days at a time. In all that time, we've had one day of steady rain and half of another day, not on the same trip, other wise we've had mostly sunny weather in the 70s and 80s. It's definitely pool/waterpark weather. In 2005 I understand Orlando had a cold snap during that time, but we had to switch to Jan. 1 - 10 that year due to the impending birth of a grandchild so we missed that. On all my March trips I've never used long pants, even at night although a few times I wore long sleeve shirts to PI at night.

The crowds are 'Moderate'. Get to the parks at rope drop, use FastPass and you'll do fine. We follow that plan then hop to Epcot every day when our early park gets stand-by lines longer than 20 mins. WS rarely seems crowded to us. It will be ESPN Weekend at MGM February 29-March 2. That park will have sports related broadcasts and displays, but I've found that the actual rides are walkons because people not interested in sports avoid MGM those days. The plaza area by the Hat will have a stage with ESPN and sports celebraties but the rest of MGM will be little affected by the event. The ESPN Club at the BoardWalk will also have some stuff going on if my memory is accurate. It's a great time to go, especially since we get to escape a crappy PA Winter for the sub-tropics.

New here & can't wait for our trip to WL March 15-22! :yay: This is our 4th trip to the World, but our 1st stay inside the park. We're so excited. I am starting to get a little nervous about the timing though. When we started planning I didn't realize this was considered Easter week. We were trying to avoid the school vacation crowds & not have to pull our 2 DSs (9 & 7) out of school for a week. We get school vacations the 3rd weeks of Feb. & April here. It just happened to work out that the boys have 3/21 off for Good Friday & 3/20 off for a teacher professional day. We were so happy to work it out so they'd only miss 3 days. Are we going to be sorry now we booked it for this time? This is supposed to be a fun birthday trip for 3 out of 4 of us :cake: (DH's b-day is 3/21, I'm turning 40 the following week & DS will have b-day 4/3). I hope it's not going to be ruined by gigantic crowds :sad2:. My oldest DS has Asperger's Syndrome & doesn't always do well in big crowds. Oh well not too much I can do about it now. Sun, Mar 30 WWE presents WrestleMania XXIV - Orlando, Fla. 6:30 p.m.
Mon, Mar 31 WWE Presents Monday Night RAW - Orlando, Fla. 8:00 p.m.

They are expecting a crowd of 90,000 attendees for these events.

We are half way there, just stopped in South Carolina to visit friends for a few days and then off to Disney on Monday.. We will be at Port Orleans Riverside from 02/24 to 03/31. The drive with 4 kids was exciting to say the least.. But due to a detour we were able to see the Washington Monument, capital building and several other landmarks in DC. THe older kids thought that was great.. We may stop back on our trip home to get a closer look and some pics.. :surfweb: :cool1: :drive:
