Atlantic sub and Magens Bay in St.Thomas?

HI...we have reservations on the 9:30am Atlantis submarine excursion in St. Thomas and are wondering if we have enough time afterward to see and experience Magen's Bay which I've heard is so beautiful. Would there be time to do an island tour, maybe by taxi?

I would appreciate your input. I am a single mom traveling with 7 yr old DS and want to know the best way to see the island and also maybe do a beach in the afternoon.

You'd definitely have time for a taxi island tour, and that tour would show you Magen's Bay, but you'd probably be uncomfortably rushed if you tried to do a Magen's Bay beach trip.
