OMG!!! Last night was our volleyball banquet. I dont know if all you know but Im a freshman and I was a starting outside hitter on the JV1 Volleyball team. (We had 5 teams.) So yeah at our last practice, we voted for Best Offensive Player, Best Defensive Player, and Raider(our mascot) Award which is like the most spirit.
Anywho, Our libero got defensive, no surprise. A really happy hyper girl got the Raider Award, again, no surprise.
And I got the Offensive Award! My coch said a really nice speech about me and how much potential I have. I almost cried. I got a plaque with my name engraved. Its sweet! And our coach made each of us a DVD slideshow with pictures and a sad song and he wrote us a sad poem. Everyone was in tears!
So yeah, have you ever made an awesome achievement or gotten an award and have been really proud of it???

i'm going to give you your props for volleyball
it is not an easy sport, today i set the ball[i think thats what you call it] and when i hit it went over the net but after my hands hurt soo bad they were red and i sprained my ankle from jumping too, mind you i only play this in my p.e. class, so i'm not on a team or anything
i'm an altar server for my old school [i still am just on sunday masses]
but i have been altar serving since the 4th grade [9th grade now] and last year when i was graduating i received altar server of the year along with my friend.
i was excited because only 2 people received this award out of alot of people.
i just made the cheerleading squad for freshmen basketball.

thanx. congrats on being soo good at volleyball. haha i complety suck at volleyball its like the one sport that i wanna practce in but cant since my new skool only has grls volleyball
*grumbles about volleyball coaches and their stupidity*
The "tradition" at my school is that seniors get the awards like MVP and such. Well, I can understand for some sports where the seniors actually deserve it! We have 2 seniors deserving of the award and who will get it becuase of tradition, but our third senior will probably get it, too even though she is an awful player and person. She's so very self centered. Everything is about her. If somthing goes wrong or she misses a ball or a call, it's not her fault- it's yours. Ugh. I hate that. Also- not getting my varsity letter this year. Why? Because I missed the third week of preseason to go to WDW. Mind you I paid $150 for general conditioning camp (6 weeks) over the summer and $400 for volleyball camp at UNH (1 week) as well. I miss one week of preseason and she takes away my letter even after all that. I worked my butt off hoping that she'd take that into consideration. does she? nope. *is very angry at her coach right now*
But in other news....I was MVP of my co-ed basketball team in 3rd and 4th grades...I was the leader of my elementary school's LEGO robotics club and we won third at the state competition...umm...I was selected for numberous overseas study programs sponsored by the UN and other organizations...I've been invited to conferences in D.C....I've been inducted into the French National Honor Society since my freshman year (now a junior)... and I've placed at like...a gazillion track meets.
Ok, so that second paragraph was to make myself feel better about not getting my letter.

congrats!!
I'm the third ranked in my project in the state. Thats something I am SO proud of. No, I don't have an award saying so, just a computer print out of the scores, but I still have that print out. (I missed being second by a .2 grade)

wow you guys are a tallented bunch!
I have won a Princess Diana award for work i did in an anti-bullying scheme at school.
I also won a Burt Mason award, for the amount of volunteering i do. (Lions International, but i'm in Leos, if anyone knows what that is!)
I did really well in my GCSE's and A levels- getting some A* and A grades, which mean i am in the top something % in the country. And in my drama i got top of the year at A level (not many people know, but i get to brag here dont i?)
I was offered a scholarship to 2 universities (although i didnt go to them, cause they weren't asking high enough grades) which was cool, but i am now at the Uni of my dreams! :)
In year 9 i came first in the year (joint) for history, i know it was ages ago but i was well proud, for having the highest end of year results.
I got the first headteachers commendation ever in our school at primary school (AGES ago, but i still have it somewhere!)

Congrats everyone. :)
So far for me, was getting accepted into DECAL last year and passing with some high school credits.
&The next one is I am apart of this humanesociety online website and they send me e-mails daily telling me what I can do to help out. Most I can't do,since there are rally's and stuff up in New York and other places, but I do the things where they tell you to e-mail me people and such.
Over summer I got a letter from Debbie Schultz who is a member of congress, sent me a letter through the mail thanking me for sending her that e-mail and that she will defintely be keeping her eye on the situation.
&Last one, when I was in 4th grade I wrote a letter to my mayor talking about the trees they cut down near my house (it looked like a mini forest) and how it's not right and all,and he replied back.
They built shops...only 4 are in buisness.
Soo yeah. :teeth:

I made Jazz Band.
But I'm just a bit bummed I got fourth to a person who ( I don't think) didn't audition at all.
But, hey! I'm happy for him because he's pretty good :]
But my audition was terrible (no, I'm not being modest! I wanted to cry after that audition!) and I'm so relieved just to be in it!
:teeth:
AND!
Congratulations to everyone else's prizes and accomplishments!!!

Congrats! Thats quite the acheivment!
My first year cheering I got Most Improved (I was 11) and I was very exited. I also competed with one elite stunt group from my team at competitions, it was quite an honor to get picked to be in the group. I was also picked to be on an all star team for my division, two cheerleaders from each division were picked.
As far as theatre goes my biggest acheivment was probably last summer. I direct booked a lead in a show. I didn't even have to audition, I was called specialy for this role. It was great. Another big accomplishment is, I was reccomended to teach at a regional theatre in my area. I start teaching in April, straight through the summer. I can not wait, considering I am only a Junior, and theatre education is going to be a big part of my college career.
I got the top grades in both my computer class (it was not just general, we had to learn HTML and design websites, it was sooo cool we took the class with kids all over the world via the internet!) and my English class.
I also got elected Treasurer for the third year in a row.
As far as horse shows go, too many awards to even name. But I do remember in my first show, ever, I took 1st place. I was super exited.
My softball team was undefeted 2 years in a rwo. We took both the Division Champ title (most games won in our division) and our "Series" title. (Which is the basically the "world series" of our softball division. And we won!)

At my last field hockey game my coach was giving awards to the team, and me and my friend got one of what I thought was one of the more meaningful ones. We got a teammate award, and she said 'these are the girls that if I were on the team, I would go to for help'... e.t.c.
And in like fourth grade at the end of the year my teacher gave everyone awards and I got one for being so hilarious.:teeth:
Now in school im so quiet.
And I guess this counts, every 5 years at the dance studio I go to they give you an award I guess for being there for so long. I got my 5 year, 5 years ago. Now this year I get my 10 year. Its pretty exciting. I think its awesome when I see the older girls who get there 20 year trophies.
