DSs will be going on the pirate cruise at the GF. I know others have posted my question (fingers crossed that the search function returns to the Dis boards), but I can't find them. So, what can I do while DSs are on the pirate cruise and DH is at his conference at CSR? I know that I can't use the pool (we are staying at CSR) , and I presume that means that I can't sit outside by the pool either. Can I sit on the beach area? DSs and I are having breakfast that morning at 1900 Park Cafe so I won't need to eat. Should I just bring a book and sit in the lobby? I am not accustomed to having time by myself so I need your help. :D

Dh and I went to the spa while Ds was on the cruise. So... how about a bit of 'you' time at the spa? I have last Januarys brochure still if you want to know treatments or APPROXIMATE pricing. (I'm sure there's some $ difference now)

I hope that they don't mind us checking out the hotel. That's what my husband and I were planning on doing while our dds are looking for treasures. I would think you could take a book out by the pool, but don't know for sure. You could also jump on the monorail and checkout the Contemporary and Poly. That sounds like fun to have some time to yourself.

Anybody else?

I've never heard that you couldn't hang out by the pools, as long as you don't enter the pools. We've done that often and never had a problem. Especially since the time you'll be there 10am-noon should be relatively quiet.

You could also take a leisurely stroll along the walkway to the Polynesian.

You can walk to the poly from there and see the wedding pavillion, the path leads you right by it.It is not a long walk at all and you can take a look around both resorts this way.

i had this same exact situation 2 years ago! we had taken dd#1 for a quick trip while dh had a convention there. one day that he was in the convention dd did the pirate cruise. I looked around the GF for a while and then hopped the monorail to the Poly and looked around there (it was the only hotel on the monorail loop I had never been to at all)...i just strolled around, shopped in the hotel gift shops a little, had some quiet time...it was really nice.

Have breakfast at the Kona Cafe, resort hop, go back to MK for 1 1/2 hours of non kid time, shop, stroll the grounds, have a massage, sit by the pool with a great book. There are SO many things to do!!!
