I see Hard Rock has the Pod type coffee pots in the rooms, now...Do they have the same coffee pots at Royal Pacific, too?

The coffee pots are pretty standard at all three hotels.

But like the OP said, the Hard Rock just recently got those new pod coffee makers, so I'm also wondering if that upgrade has been made across all three hotels at all room levels.

They take single little "pods" to make individual cups of coffee instead of making a whole pot. They're great because everyone can have their own flavor, or decaf, or even tea and cocoa.

As we speak, they are busily delivering the new coffee pots to the Portofino rooms.

Ours was just unpacked (Monday, Nov. 19th). The hallways are lined with boxes of pots as they systematically put a new one in each room.

Here is the blurb about it and how it works from the keurig site: http://www.keurig.com/hospitality/b130brewer.asp?mscsid=QT1EV17MPNU78K11X5SSHSFEBQGE F1C7#

My sister and brother in law are BIG time coffee drinkers...Will there be enough offered for people such as them? Or, can they ask for more?:confused3

Ok, this is going to sound nuts to probably almost everyone. . . but here goes. . .

I can not have caffeine. I know they are offering a gourmet decaf :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 but if you use a coffee pot that has had caffeinated anything run through it, you get residual caffeine in your brew. I have my own pot at home and my own pot at work. When we travel, which isn't much, I have to take my pot because I am seriously sensitive to caffeine and can't drink even more than one cup of decaf. . cuz we all know decaf has some caff. . . anyway, is there anyone else out there like me???? Will the hotel accomodate a "decaf only" coffee pot, or do I have to drag my pot and beans and grinder????:coffee:

Hey Macraven. . . bet your drinking a giant cup o' joe with double caffeine as you read this, aren't you???

My sister brings her coffee pot with her when we go to Disney...as she mixes her coffee...half and half...(but drinks quite a bit of coffee) Because we found out Universal's hotels now have the coffee pot with the pods...She said she will be bringing her own pot with her again...So...you aren't the only one. :)

Just back from the Royal Pacific over Thanksgiving and we were in Tower 1 which is totally renovated. We had the pod coffee maker which tasted pretty good. Only problem was the maid kept replacing the coffee with decaf pods - aaarg!

Cool! I think we'll bring our own pods just in case.

Are there different pods for different pots? I have pods for our "one cupper" at work...but, I wonder if they would be all right for the pots at RP? I use a lot of cream and splenda...so I'll probably bring my own...

We just returned from PB. They have the Kruig pods and the only coffee ones they have are Emeril's. I noticed they still have the old coffee pots stored in the cabinet by the door if you want to use that instead.

I'll pass that on to my sister...If they still have the old pots there...she wouldn't have to bring her big one with her...and could just bring her own coffee!:woohoo:
