Thinking about switching my ressies from CSR to POR for trip in June. Questions about the pool at POR-Is there a pool slide and do you have access to the POFQ pool with its dragon slide while it's closed? I have read different things concerning this.

I don't think you can access anything over at PO-FQ.
The main pool at PO-R, Ol'Man Island has a nice slide, but the slide at CSR is longer and curvier, my boys liked it better.

When PO-FQ is open you can use the facilities there. But right now they are closed. The slide at PO-R is probably an inbetween slide. The one at PO-FQ is really for smaller kids. The one at PO-R is a little longer and you walk up about 1 story of sone steps to get to it. It has a couple of curves. I noticed kids that were 3-6 or 7 seemed to really like it. The older kids weren't as thrilled. The PO-R also has a small kiddie pool and a large playground that most older kids would love (about 6 and above). Very rustic with lots of stuff to climb on. The PO-R also has several other quiet pools that don't have slides. They are nestled around the different buildings. The arcade at PO-Riverside isn't bad either. Much better than PO-FQ but not as nice as the Contemporary.

I like the looks of POR better than CSR but one of the main things I am looking at is the pool areas and slides at each resort. Can't decide--wish I had looked last year when I was there.

Having used the pools at all three resorts, we still like CSR better!
