The famous Biltmore House in Asheville, NC, built by George Vanderbilt in the late 1800's, was the YEKCIM family's final stop before returning home. Photography is not permitted inside the house, so the only possible photos are exterior shots. Here are a few of the better ones:

WOW:eek: !!! I was talking with someone on our WV trip who had just visited there. They said there is 200-something rooms in that place.

Beautiful pics, I would love to visit there some day.

We have been there twice. I highly recommend going back thru the house later in the day (your ticket covers all day) when it is not crowded. We enjoyed it much more than we did earlier in the day. We were able to take our time and really look around. We also got to talk to the tour guides one on one since no one else was touring that late before closing. Most of the others were all at the winery on site or touring the grounds. The guide in the library was very informative. Grandson asked one of the guides how do they clean all of the windows? answer was the windows all fold in to clean them  We always thought that was fairly new technology.

Great work in this series, YEKCIM - you're given us all something to aspire to. :thumbsup2

My poor camera has been collecting dust for the last few weeks - I've just been too busy with other projects, but I did toss it in the car today to have it handy in case I see anything inspiring. This series counts as inspiring. :)

Thank you all for your kind words. I sorta' jammed about six months' worth of shooting into a week's vacation and I appreciate everyone's feedback.
