I was looking through a few threads and I came across the CP Thread. I found about the program last year, but I won't graduate soon. But I was just wondering if anyone is interested in the CP Program. I could tell you that I am VERY interested! I can't wait till I graduate :)

For anyone considering a job possition in Disney ANYWHERE, and even if that wasn't your goal, it's a great thing to do. My cousin did the CP once and then went back about a year later for the alumi program. She got invited to work there perminantly and she is moving down there in February. She's 20 now. Once she gets down there, Disney is paying for her schooling.

If I do do it, it will be after I graduate. Delaying graduation wouldn't be worth it to me.

I know a ton about this program so if you have any questions let me know (or just go to the college board ;) - which ever you're more comfortable with :)).

Wow. It's like, my dream to get into that.
It seems like such a great oppurtunity.

I'm only a sophmore, so I don't really have concrete plans, but I think I want to do it summer of senior year.

I have really good grades and all that, so I shouldn't have a problem getting in. What credentials do you need?

YES! I hope to be a character, or performer. (I dont know if the dancers are through the CP or seperate)

One of my friends (who is now on Broadway) was actually characters in the CP! She always wears her Disney sweatshirts...she says it was a very posative experience.

I think it would be fun.
Is it possible just to do it even if we aren't considering a job position. Or is it just for those who are considering job positions?
Just like an extra thing?

Sorry if these are some stupid questions I don't know much about this at all.

I would love to do the CP! I'm a sophomore in hs, but I still think about it a lot. The college I want to go to near me usually has it, so that's great. It's definitely a dream for me, just working there. When we went to WDW most recently, my mom and I tried to talk to as many people as possible who were in the program. They seemed to be having an amazing time :)

Sorry-I'm really bad with names.

SnowWhite: Nope, you don't have to have plans to work for Disney in anyway to do the program!

STOP:Mickeytime: At the current moment, summers are reserved for alumi. So unless it changes in the next few years, first-timers don't have the opportunity for doing the program over the summer months.

My cousin's boyfriend was a character performer. He said that although it was hot as sin in the costume and the audition for it was really hard, he loved the position.

I'm thinking about doing the CP.
I not technically going to do it while I'm still a college student though... I won't be able to graduate in 4 years if I do it during school.
I've talked to people and the only requirement is that you are a student when applying for the CP. So my plan is to take a year off in between college and grad school and do the CP. Mostly because one of my dream jobs is working in the Disney Archives, and to do that (or get basically any job with the Disney Corporation), you need to be a CP alum.
