There's nothing like that around here - many years ago (late '80s), a friend and I went to the FantaCo horror convention in Albany and saw Tom Savini among others, but it was still a relatively small show. I'm a huge horror nut so I appreciate the shots even if noone else does. :teeth:

Thanks. there were a lot of actors there. Shawnee Smith from Saw, and some other fellow from Saw 1 (I forget his name) Robert Englund (Freddy Kreuger) Gunnar Hanson (original leatherface from Texas chainsaw) Brad Loree (Michael Myers) Jason Vorhees, David Arquette, Daniell haris, Bill Hinzman, lots of others.

it is so weird. Micheal Berryman ask where we were from and when we said Alabama, he knew about our draught and said he would pray for rain. its been raining. :)

Wow great pictures of David Cassidy and Little Richard. The others are good too...scary :scared: but good. What is Zombie walk? I have never heard of it.

Great concert pictures- I really wanted to see Otis Day when we were there last month but he was playing the night we left. :sad1:

I just watched Grindhouse last night and Savini is in it(Planet Terror).

Tom Savini is truly one of the coolest guys walking the planet.

In a related story, when Land of the Dead was filming in Toronto a couple years ago, I was all set to take a few days off work and drive up there to be a zombie extra, but it turns out that since it was partially sponsored by the Canadian gov't, you had to be a Canadian citizen to be an extra. (At least, to be an extra without an agent or anything.) :( Being a zombie in a George Romero movie would be one of my proudest accomplishments!

Boy this picture makes me feel old. I remember watching that movie as a teenager, probably not much younger than the actor pictured here, and he looks old now...


Edit:Nevermind...he looks old because he's older than I thought. I looked on IMDB and the movie was released in '81, which made me 12 and him 30 at the time. Thought he was younger than that, and I was older.


BTW, really liked the fisheye pics.

Thanks guys. :) the fisheye lens (tokina 10-17) was brand new and my first attempt at being fishy, but I think they turned out okay.

I'm used to point and shoot cameras and am still learning how to use my Rebel. a couple of the actors actually thanked me for not using a flash saying that those little camera are blinding. imagine having a flash in your eyes at least a thousand times a day. :headache: I need to learn more about the white balance function because the room was really light and bright lights.

Tom Savini IS too cool for words. :thumbsup2 doesn't look to be 61 yrs old at all. :)

David Naughton really should do something about that hair....

The highlight of my week was seeing David Cassidy. :love:
