I didn't realize this until my trip was almost over, but they actually have a Member Perks book for Disneyland. I had done my research on the DVC website, and knew where I could use my card to get discounts, but the Member Perks book seemed to have more perks listed than were on the website. You can get the book at the DVC kiosks. I just figured I'd pass along the info in case others are interested.

Yes, we accidently discovered in our July trip that virtually all counter service and table service restaurants in both parks, all 3 hotels, and DTD had a discount. The member site doesn't list most of these discounts.

I would have saved a lot of money if I had found this book earlier in my stay.

I picked one up during my August stay at the Grand Californian. They are great perks!

Yes, this perk booklet was very helpful. I found that most in DL didn't realize that there were DVC discounts and I actually had to take out the book and show them in order to get my 10% off...so don't go to the parks without it! I think you can pick one up at pretty much any DVC kiosk in DL.

Is there any way to get the booklet before we leave? If we call DVC will they send it out? I'm a bit of an obsessive planner (aren't all DVCers?) and would love to know the discounts before we get there.

This is exactly what we found, it was kind of a pain. Also the big disapointment was that you don't get a discount on merchandise. :sad2:

We're heading to DL in June. I would be very interested in getting this book before we leave also. Would MS send us one?

Please note that you don't get the perks just for being a DVC-member.
You must be a DVC-Member AND you must be staying in a Disneyland Resort hotel. If you're staying off-site, then you can't get the perks.
The following is directly from my copy of the DL perks book.
"Many special offers are available to Members at various times. Please refer to the Member Benefits guide for important information. To receive any of these discounts, you must present your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card and your current Disneyland Resort Hotel in-house charge card and room key. All offers are subject to availability, change, and termination without notice. Disney Vacation Club Member discounts cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts or promotions."
Section in bold above added by myself.
So remember to take your blue membership card, check into a DL resort hotel, and put down a credit-card at the hotel and get a hotel in-house charge card along with your room key.

When we bought in DL a lot of the places were not even aware they offered a DVC discount. A few times we has to show them the book to prove we were not lying. Once we had it though we really used it a lot!

The copy I have is from 2007 and Napa Rose is not listed as having any discounts. Don't know if 2008 is different or not.

I thought I had the 08 edition as a friend picked one up for me in December, but it's the 07 edition. Wouldn't you think they'd have the 08 Editon ready in Dec 07? Oh wait..I still don't have the 08 planner. Never mind.
