I was told that there is a pool lift available for both the pool and spa at Saratoga Springs. That it must be requested from the lifeguard on duty and is wheeled out and installed. Can anyone verify this for me? If so that would be the ONLY pool with a lift correct? Does anyone have pictures?

I like absolutely everything about SSR and now, knowing this, I like it even more! :goodvibes

I didn't think there was a lift for SSR, but I may well be wrong. There was a thread a while back about lack of lists, but maybe they've sorted it since then. Having never stayed at (or been been to) SSR, I'm probably not the best source of information!

I called the resort and they said that they are the only Disney property with a lift for the swimming pool and spa. They said that the guest only has to ask the lifeguard on duty for assistance.

This is true. I used the lift in May and October. There's an anchor hole near the zero entry end (where the clock used to be) and another for the spa nearby. They wheel out the lift on a dolly and drop it into the anchor. It's battery operated with an attached remote, has a plastic fold down seat and arms, and a seatbelt.

Just ask the lifeguard on duty if you want to use it and where. I can walk some so prefer to just use the zero entry into the pool then walk over to the lift at the spa after for a warm soak.

Here it is in action at the spa:

They also have a pool chair that's your typical beach-style chair (PVC assembly, mesh swing seat, balloon tires). I tried it in May but it's too big for my short body.

When I talked to the pool manager in October he said the lift was being tested at SSR first but there were plans to install ones at other resorts soon. I believe Wilderness Lodge was next on the list.

I didn't see it in action, but on a recent trip to SSR, my DH did see the pool lift in use at SSR.
Here's a picture of the lift without anyone in it at the hot tub at SSR.

And here's a picture of the pool wheelchair.

Big Hugs to Sue for the pictures.

That shows a side view with one of the arms down on the chair part of the lift. It does have arms rests that come down.

I had fun looking through the album and enjoyed all the pictures especialy the Donald Duck trying to fill a jar with water, lol.

Lucky for us someone posted some pictures. I wanted to take some, but never saw the lift out.
